Maksim, also known as Maks to long time DWTS fans, is currently in Paris, France!!  I assume on vacation. If a Maks fan out there knows different, let me know!

Recently, Maks filmed a reality TV show in the Bahamas. According to OMG.com:

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A host of stars are lining up to match their physical prowess with some super athletes in a new reality show for ABC.

David Charvet, Maksim Chmerkovskiy , Dan Cortese, Paige Hemmis, Julio Iglesias, Jr., Joanna Krupa, Ali Landry and Estella Warren are the stars who will pair up with an athlete to battle it out in teams on new show, “The Superstars,” beginning June 23 on ABC.

Among the athletes competing on the show are Jennifer Capriati, Brandi Chastain, Robert Horry, Jeff Kent, Kristi Leskinen, Lisa Leslie, Bode Miller and Terrell Owens , Access Hollywood can reveal.

The show, which is based on ABC’s “Wide World of Sports,” will pair up one star and one athlete. As a team they will compete in various sporting events such as swimming, biking, running and kayaking. There will also be some head-to-head athletic challenges, the network confirmed.

According to Access Hollywood, Maks guest stars on All My Children.

“Dancing with the Stars” leading man Maksim Chmerkovskiy put his skills to the test on “All My Children.” Maskim helps the women of the cosmetics company “Fusion” learn poll/strip dancing so they can take a break from their long days developing a new fragrance. Airs: 02/26/08 on ABC.

Apparently it’s date night after the Finale! Maks and Karina are double dating with Derek and Shannon (with spare BHB band members tagging along), and Julianne and Chuck get caught by the cameras as well. Julianne confirms once again that she is only taking one season off.

On Tuesday night’s thrilling “Dancing with the Stars” finale Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas walked away with the coveted mirror ball trophy — and ET was backstage to celebrate with the season eight champions!

“It feels amazing,” Shawn Johnson says about the victory. “I don’t know how we did it. I guess we like to save things for the last second. We worked really hard, I feel like I’ve grown so much. I can officially say I am a dancer and that is amazing to me, I never imagined that.”

“To be on the stage especially next to Gilles [Marini] and Cheryl [Burke] and Melissa [Rycroft] and Tony [Dovolani] was amazing,” Mark says. “I’m just so honored to have had Shawn as a partner and to take her this far. Thank you to the fans for voting for us. Thank you.”

InFANity is a show on the TV Guide channel that I’d never heard of before - but this week they delve into Dancing with the Stars. The video is in five parts, each part covering different aspects of the show. Every part has a lot of clips of dances and interviews, past and present. Stars from every season are interviewed, as are the judges and the hosts. The only people we see, but don’t hear a lot from, are my favorites - The Pros.

Derek directs a music video set to the Ballas Hough Band’s song Do You Love Me. The video stars many of the celebrities and professional dancers from this seasons DWTS, in addition to brief appearances by Tom Bergeron, Samantha Harris, Shannon Elizabeth, Joanna Pacitti, Rascal Flatts and Boyz II Men. I’m about to unload on the Dancing with the Stars updates. Some are old, some are new, but they’re all interesting. Plus, some of them are just links to interesting stuff. Like this one.

The stars going on Dancing with the Stars are really trying to turn up the heat when it comes to marketing themselves on the show. Looks like Denise Richards will be using her website “Diary” to update people about her experience on the show.

I’m so excited about dancing with the stars!! And thrilled that Maks is my partner, he has his work cut out having me as his partner. I have never danced, I’m excited and nervous to take on this amazing challenge….we start rehearsing this week and I’ll give you updates along the way!!!……

Denise is beautiful and will look nice next to Mad Maks. I expect her to have smooth lines and move around the stage really well. Maks will do a great job getting the most out of her and stretch her to do things that surprise even her.

Maks has some of the most devoted fans on the show. The ones who will vote 50150 times and spend the evening convincing their aunts, uncles, grandma, sisters, brothers, etc to vote for Maks as well. Plus, Maks’ choreography is a fan favorite as well. Makes sense why they chose him to choreograph the Dancing with the Stars tour.

Denise and Maks will be a nice pair with a reasonable shot at making the top 3. Maks making the top 3 and Karina not will make for an interesting dynamic for their relationship.
