PureDWTS Guest Poem For Dancing With The Stars Season 17 Week 5

Lois is back with another fun poem dedicated to the “most memorable year” theme on Dancing With The Stars Season 17 Week 5. Enjoy and thanks Lois!

MY POEM FOR WEEK FIVE

A YEAR OF THE DANCE

A most memorable year was the theme in the ballroom air
Each star chose a time in their life, to perform and to share

Emotions were stirred, flowing as an underground spring
The stories told by the dancers flew as on an angels’ wing

Wives, children, deaths, new beginnings gave us a chill
Tears flowed like waterfalls, our hearts were almost still

Amber and Derek Foxtrotted to Try a Little Tenderness
Corbin and Karina Foxtrotted to My Wish with finesse

Leah and Tony performed their Contemporary to Roar
Brant and Peta’s Contemporary to Your Song did soar

Sasha and Nicole’s Work Bitch Jazz livened the crowd
Elizabeth, Val’s I’m So Excited Jive excitedly aroused

Jack and Cheryl Waltzed divinely to I’m Kissing You
Mark and Christina ChaChaCHad to Forget You, too

A Viennesse Waltz to She’s Always a Woman, so sweet
Bill and Emma were stunning and exquisite to the beat

A YEAR OF THE DANCE, stories beautifully expressed
Each star commentated their year as they did their best

One story was finished, Christina and Mark had to go
Come back next week and it will be on with the show!

Written By Lois A Troutman, October 16, 2013

What would you choose as your most memorable year?

I would choose March 22, 1975, the day I married Kenneth Troutman!
He was my Knight in Shining Armor! My rock! A most wonderful man!
On December 27, 1990, we found out Ken had prostate cancer.
Eleven years later on May 23, 2001, Ken lost his valiant fight.
He was 52 when he died. I was 50. We were married 26 years!
He is my Hero!

PureDWTS Season 17 Week 5 Media After The Dance, Some New Dances Revealed

What another great night of TV on Dancing With The Stars! My cat Saku and I were glued to our seats again! Let’s see what the couples had to say about it. First up, here are some Access Hollywood interviews….

Christina Milian tells Shawn Johnson she was shocked on her and Mark’s elimination. She was in her skin last night and just getting started….

Corbin and Karina were shocked on the elimination. Corbin said it’s a lesson learned to “enjoy every single moment and never take it for granted”. It’s about continuing to push yourself. These two are really excited about their dance next week. Karina said they have “an epic song”.

Elizabeth and Val were also shocked on the elimination. They felt bad for Christina, but, Elizabeth was glad Christina had a chance to tell her story and it was a powerful one. Val talks of what the Dancing With The Stars experience is all about and what he works for and tries to do for his partner.

Derek and Amber talk of how no one is safe after the surprise elimination last night. They also discussed the “7” from Len and how Derek prepared Amber for what Len would give them. They knew they weren’t in “hold” enough, but, Amber wanted to do the dance her way to tell her story.

Be watching Access Hollywood. They may post more interviews soon. Pure Derek Hough also has more with Derek and Amber.

The couples also talked with Afterbuzz. We find out a few of the new dances for next week. Peta and Brant have the International Tango. Cheryl and Jack have the Paso Doble. Bill and Emma have a Tango! Val and Elizabeth have a Cha Cha! Read more..

Julianne Hough Addresses Feud With DWTS Mark Ballas At “Paradise” Press Event

Us Weekly caught up with Julianne Hough at a press event for her new movie “Paradise”. They asked her about the critique she gave Mark Ballas and Christina Milian. She stands by her comments. Below is more.

Hough stands by her comments, saying she didn’t intend to offend Ballas or anyone else.

“I loved being on the show again and being a judge because I feel like that’s where it all started for me and it’s where I’m really comfortable being able to talk and critique,” she told Us. “I judge the same way I teach so it all comes from love. It’s not to diss anybody. It’s not to hurt anybody’s feelings. It’s about constructive criticism so that they can get better for next week and that was not a direct attack to anybody.”

Despite Ballas calling Hough’s comments “hypocritical” and a source telling Us that he was “furious” with the critique, Hough revealed that they went out to dinner that same night.

“I don’t know why people are making such a big deal about it,” she continued.

I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal either, but, I’m glad she’s standing by her comments. She did nothing more wrong than Len Goodman and the rest of the judges do all the time.
