Sharna Burgess has been busy! Right after the season of Dancing With The Stars wrapped up, she and boyfriend and dancer Paul Kirkland flew to London to do some choreography for “Strictly Come Dancing” (the English version of Dancing With The Stars). Below are some fun examples of their recent work! Pic above courtesy of pro Iveta Lukosiute.
Aren’t these takes fantastic? After the Grand finale, the cast attended a Dancing With The Stars Season 17 wrap party at Sofitel in Los Angeles, California. Pictured above is Brant Daughtery, Peta Murgatroyd, Sharna Burgess, Paul Kirkland, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, and Dancing With The Stars executive producer Conrad Green. Isn’t this a lovely photo of Dancing With The Stars Sharna Burgess and her boyfriend and dancer Paul Kirkland?!! Thursday night, November 14th, they attended the Magic Image Magazine Awards. Last night, Val Chmerkovskiy held a launch party for his new clothing line called “Valentin”. Some of the cast of Dancing With The Stars showed up to support Val such as Elizabeth Berkley, Peta Murgatroyd, Sharna Burgess, Leah Remini, Jack Osbourne, Tony Dovolani, Maks Chmerkovskiy, Gleb Savchenko, Henry Byalikov, Tristan MacManus, and Derek Hough. Former troupe member Nicole Volynets was there as well as Sharna’s boyfriend and dancer Paul Kirkland. Gleb’s wife Elena Samodanova was also there (let us know if we missed anyone?). You can view some fun photos of them all at Getty Images and Wire Images. You can view the new clothing collection at this link. Below is a cool video promo. What do you think of the collection? I like all the hoodies, but, not the really short pants.
ETA: If you go to Extra at this link, you can read and watch a new interview with Maks at this event. He admits he’s dating Kate Upton.

A few of our readers had some really good questions to ask Dancing With The Stars Pro Sharna Burgess. Sharna answers questions about the most important things she’s learned once she became a pro on Dancing With The Stars. Sharna also takes us through the process of how she assesses her partner’s dance potential. She also chats on her pre-show rituals, her guilty pleasures, her dance mentors, and how she learned to choreograph for television and the movies. Lots more below. Enjoy! Thanks Sharna for another awesome interview!!xx
What was the one most important thing that you learned about yourself once you became a pro on the show?
hmmm, thats tough! I think i learned greater patience, though I’ve always been a patient person, this show requires SO much of it. Patience is an art and a gift, and in tough situations it helps me stay calm, not sweat the small stuff and keep moving forward. Im such a passionate person that if my partner is not into it 150% i can become very frustrated. Dancing only works when you surrender to it and go all in, messing up is fine, but not trying is unacceptable. In saying that i have to remember that what can see like disinterest and disregard, is actually fear, and that is something that needs patience and nurturing if its going to be beaten.
Please tell Sharna I think she’s an excellent competing pro, and I love her innovative choreography.
When you begin rehearsing with your new celeb, how do you begin to assess their dance potential? Do you start without music and see how they handle some basic Latin or standard steps, or do you put some music on the CD player and see how they move to music?
Hi Cidra!!! thank you very much!

PureDWTS Exclusive: Sharna Burgess Reflects & Talks On DWTS 17, Gives “Michael Jackson One” Show Review
Hi All!!! Sharna Burgess talked with us recently about the new changes for Dancing With The Stars Season 17. She also reflected on the past season of Dancing With The Stars and what her first year was like as a pro. Sharna was also gracious enough to give us a sneak peek into what the new “Michael Jackson One” Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas is like one of which I’m dying to see and maybe you are too? Lots more below with our beautiful Sharna and we thank her once again for taking time to answer a few questions. Without further ado….
1. Hey Sharna!! How are you and how are you feeling after your first season as a Pro on Dancing With The Stars? Is it everything you hoped it would be?
It was amazing!! It certainly lived up to what I had hoped and Andy surpassed any expectations people had of him. Truly I enjoyed every moment, creatively and emotionally it was challenging rewarding and beautiful.
I don’t think I could ever have prepared myself for the weekly roller coaster of not knowing if my decisions were the right ones, if my choreography was enough or did my concept make sense. Wondering when it would come together or did I have to re think everything. It always came together because Andy is such a superstar, he truly helped me make my ideas come to life. I also couldn’t have guessed that I would make the emotional connection I did with Andy. He was such an amazing person to get to know and become a part of his life.
2. How are you feeling about the new changes coming to Dancing With The Stars next season? Whatever happens, many fans like myself just hope you’ll be returning. Read more..
Dancer Sharna Burgess gave us an exclusive interview where she talks all about her break during the off season of Dancing With The Stars. She spent some lovely time with family, friends, and her boyfriend Paul Kirkland as you will soon see. Sharna also saw some movies that she gives some reviews on (Sharna, I also loved “Life Of Pi”. It gets my vote for best movie of 2012! “WOW” is right!). As always, a dancer never rests as Sharna had some other projects she worked on and she’s been dreaming about new choreography and more for Dancing With The Stars. Keep your fingers crossed as Sharna is hoping to hear word soon on whether or not she will be a pro this season. Sharna was also gracious enough to send us lots of incredible and breathtaking pictures too over her break. You can click on them to get the full size. They’d make beautiful Desk tops for your computer. THANK YOU SO MUCH SHARNA and I, for one, will be keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
1. Hi Sharna!!! How are you and how has your break been from the show? Did you get lots of rest and do some fun things, see any movies, etc? How are your fur babies? When do you come back to the States??
Hi!! Im great, it has been a whirl wind since our DWTS finale but i am loving it! I was blessed to have my man Paul Kirkland, come to Australia with me and spend christmas and New Years with my family and friends. We toured the great ocean road together which was to die for. If any of you make it out to Australia please do it, it totally took my breath away. We also spent a lot of time water skiing and wake boarding. Australia was SO hot that you could seriously only be in the water.
We watched a bunch of movies over the break, i loved Pitch Perfect, Life of Pi (WOW!!!) and The Guardians. Actually i recently watched Silver Linings with Peta Murgatroyd and wow, what an incredible film, its dark, but in the most beautiful way. I understand why its cleaning up the awards! I really cant wait to see Hansel and Gretel too!
Our beautiful fur baby was more than happy to see her mum and dad when we finally returned. We were gone for all up about 5 weeks. When we walked in the door she kind of just stared at us for a second, almost as if to say “oh so you decided to come back? where have you been!!” I really missed her. Read more..
