Tony Dovolani Chats About Dancing With The Stars And Which Golfers He’d Like To See Dance

Dancing With The Stars’ Tony Dovolani was a guest on the Golf Channel’s The Morning Drive today. Did you know he had to turn down the first offer to do the US version of Dancing With The Stars? Here is more in detail as well as how he can tell who will make a good dancer or not…

When he got involved with “Dancing with the Stars,” he knew it would be a huge success because of his involvement with the British version of the show. He actually had to turn down the first offer to do the show because of his involvement with the British show. Some of the greatest and longest lasting entertainers in the world are dancers so he had no doubt that lots of people would want to watch “Dancing With the Stars.”

He can tell immediately whether or not someone will be a good dancer based on the way they walk. Everyone has their own sense of rhythm and feel and to be a good dancer you have to have an understanding of how to handle the floor just as a good golfer needs to have an understanding of how to handle a golf club.

You can read the full article at the Golf Channel site. Tony also dishes on which golfers he’d like to see on Dancing With The Stars such as Paula Creamer, Christina Kim, Natalie Gulbis, Phil Mickelson, Greg Norman, and Jack Nicklaus. Watch the site later as they may post a video where Tony dances with Holly Sonders. Thanks to @GCMorningDrive at twitter for posting the picture above of Tony in the studio with them.

ADDING: The videos have been posted here and here. Note how Tony mentions finding out about his new Dancing With The Stars partner on FRIDAY. Thanks to Jennifer for the heads up!
