The Dancing With The Stars Official You Tube has released some video diaries for Week 3. Be sure to watch these when you get time. They are fun. Be watching this link in case they post more.
Cheryl Burke and Ryan Lochte talked with Mario Lopez of Extra yesterday. Ryan says he’s “a fish out of water” right now doing Dancing With The Stars, but, Cheryl says he’s giving it his all. Below is a lot more including talk on the protesters, his Olympic future, and their new dance. Sweet!
ETA: Here they are in rehearsals with ET too… Read more..
Awww, I love Miss Edyta Sliwinska …and below you can see her at the Bella LA Celebrity Page Emmy Party. She asked a few of the celebs what they think of Dancing With The Stars this season. She also talked with Allison Holker about Babyface….
These interviews are from week one….
Below are some interviews with Extra. In the first video, Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovksiy talk on having a baby and their wedding plans. They plan to get married on July, 8, 2017. Maks talks on being back on Dancing With The Stars as well.
And here are a couple of interviews after Monday night’s dances….
ETA: Here’s a new Extra interview with Babyface and Allison…
So, dance offs. Great potential for some rigging of who the producers would prefer goes home. Unless they actually let the celebs pick…but that seems unlikely, since Sharna already knows their dance style and they can’t dance against someone who already had that style. Right? One would think so. So, if Sharna/James have Cha Cha, they have to be dancing against someone who hasn’t had Cha Cha yet. The people who HAVE danced Cha Cha? Rick, V.Ice, Calvin and…Laurie. So James won’t be dancing against Laurie, which gives her an easy row to hoe. Unless Laurie gets Jana and Jana absolutely kills it, Laurie will get immunity as expected. I suppose Marilu could beat her…but a 16 year old gymnast against Marilu hardly seems like a fair fight. But Marilu has a secret weapon that Laurie doesn’t – Derek. Could be interesting.
But where are the points coming from? This past Monday? Or their score on this coming monday? Sounds like a potential clusterf*%k. 🙂
ETA: According to a new Extra interview at Facebook this morning, Babyface and Allison have a jive. ~Vogue
ETA2: Per Maks’ blog, the couples dance the same style and get scores. Highest score of the pair of couples is immune from elimination.
ETA3: Everyone thank Derek for all the info in his blog this week. And he says many of the same things we do here. Interesting how they are predictable pitting Laurie against Marilu.
ETA4: According to ET, Lindsay and Calvin have a Viennese waltz. They are dancing against Sasha and Terra who have the same style of dance as you know. Calvin and Lindsay will be dancing to ‘It’s a Woman’s World.’ ~Vogue
ETA5: James and Sharna’s song is “Big Trouble” by Outasight. Thanks to @MaddiRoseL for letting us know.
ETA6: According to a new radio interview, Maureen and Artem have a Salsa.
ETA7: According to the ABC Press Release, below are the faceoffs with the songs and dance styles. Sounds like a bit of a repeat of the last results show, with the exception of the performances.
Florida Georgia Line, CMA Award winners for Vocal Duo of the Year, will perform their number one hits “Cruise” and “H.O.L.Y.,” and Fitz and The Tantrums will perform “HandClap,” from their self-titled album. Viewers will also have a chance to see the couples’ dances from the previous night one more time. The show will be packed with never-before-seen footage, including extended training packages, exclusive interviews with the couples and judges, and a glimpse of what’s to come on week four of “Dancing with the Stars.”
Maureen and Artem VERSUS Amber and Maks – Salsa
Maureen: 1-800-868-3409 (Song: “Tres Deseos” (“Three Wishes”) by Gloria Estefan)
Amber: 1-800-868-3401 (Song: “Booty” by Jennifer Lopez featuring Iggy Azalea)
Aren’t these some great shots of the cast from last night’s Results show on Dancing With The Stars? Beautiful. To see even more, click on any of the photos.
Below are the Pro Numbers which were featured on Dancing With The Stars Week 2’s results show tonight. Weren’t they amazing? The dance with Maks, Derek, and Cheryl was just stunning…EMMY MATERIAL! THANK YOU TPTB for bringing them back like this!! I’m so so happy!! This show just added more depth to it that it was lacking before. Thanks to @Idolxfactor1 for recording.
The other two dances can be found in the Playlist at IdolXfactor.com.
Here are some You Tube versions:
Don’t forget, the site rules apply tonight as well. 😉
Figured I would do a new live blog so we can talk all the cheesy goodness here separately from the cheesy sorta goodness from last night. 🙂
I would like to start this post with an ode to Derek’s pants (and hair) from last night. “Oh jeans you’re cut so well, you hug that fine….”
I’m not a poet. I just know what I like. 😉 Read more..
Well, seems there was a bit of protective scoring going on – were we right to be worried about Terra? In any case, she did a great dance, she was just a bit overscored.
Unfortunately for Jake, Maureen had a good, nostalgic dance and Ryan overcame his protesters (and the heart shirts a bunch of people wore will likely touch hearts as well, and Amber is still dancing with Maks. I would be STUNNED if Maks were ever the first one out. Your pro won’t win you the show, but he should prevent you from being first out. Read more..
I really do have kind of a love-hate relationship with TV weeks – and really, theme weeks in general. They’ve brought us some really good dances, and they’ve brought us some pretty craptastic dances. And a whole lotta awkward sh*t in between – this is what happens, kids, when you try to force a certain song to fit a certain dance, or try to force certain costuming to fit a certain dance, or a certain dance to fit a certain theme, etc. There was definitely some awkwardness last night that I would blame primarily on this week’s theme – I feel like Amber & Maks, Jake & Jenna, and Rob/Vanilla & Witney kinda got played by their assigned themes, while I commend Calvin & Lindsay and Babyface and Allison for making their theme work for them…particularly the latter, which I’ll get into more later. Also a lot of time wasting at the beginning of several of the dances, which seemed to be a pretty across-the-board thing, so I guess I can’t complain too much – although I will say some pros utilized the time wasting more than others.
And while I think the distraction of the protesters last week may have somewhat blurred any potential agenda by the judges, I felt like we really saw that agenda take shape awfully clearly this week: Laurie is the chosen one, and anyone that poses a threat to Laurie needs to be nitpicked, criticized, and underscored to protect her. I think the only other celeb that escaped the judges unscathed besides Laurie was Terra, which is also somewhat problematic, which I will get into later; but why give a dance straight 8’s and then don’t explain ways in which it can be improved upon? If it’s truly perfect and you aren’t going to give any negative feedback, give it 10’s. If you’re not giving it 10’s and you’re not offering up suggestions for improvement…something’s rotten in the state of Denmark.
Not sure if I’ll do another round of power rankings later tonight/early tomorrow or not (for next Monday’s elimination), as I’ve got some other things going on that are going to make the next 24 hours very, very busy for me, but for now…I guess take these as my predictions for who is going home tomorrow night, and I might just do an update tomorrow evening after we boot the first celeb. …Read more
