DWTS Season 19 Rumor And Watchout: Andi Dorfman And Her Mr. Right To Dance? (Bachelorette Spoiler)

According to Hollywood Life, The Bachelorette’s Andi Dorfman might dance in Dancing With The Stars Season 19. Not only that, whoever she chooses to marry on The Bachelorette might dance as well. More below and note that this isn’t the first time we’ve had a Bachelorette rumor this season. We’re keeping a small eye on Courtney Robertson as well.

Things are heating up as Andi Dorfman, 27, continues to search for love each week on The Bachelorette. We’ve already revealed who will win the reality show, and now a source tells us Andi and the winner will appear on another reality show, competing against each other — the next season of Dancing With The Stars!

Andi Dorfman & Josh Murray On ‘Dancing With The Stars’: Will Compete In Season 19

Andi and Josh’s journey has gone from making out in Paris to falling in love super fast to shaking it on the dance floor! “She’s been asked and is also preparing to do the next season of the show,” a source tells EXCLUSIVELY about Andi appearing on Dancing With The Stars.

“And there has been talk that she is going to do it with her man. They will compete against each other along with the other stars,” our source reveals. How exciting! After Josh steals Andi’s heart and ultimately proposes at the end of the season, it’ll be amazing to see the couple competing on such a fun show!

While Andi’s season airs, the star’s secretly prepping herself to win the mirror ball trophy! Could the upcoming competition be another reason she quit her job as Assistant D.A. at the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.

So, what do you think if true? I’m not sure what to think, but, I don’t think I really want anymore people from The Bachelor or the Bachelorette shows.

Heidi: Andi seems like an okay chick and so does her betrothed…but no thanks. Seriously, the producers got the perfect mix of people last season and nary a reality person to be seen. The ratings showed it. In any case, if Andi does show up it will be because they couldn’t get someone else they wanted. Kinda like Courtney said she could have been an alternate.

DWTS Rumor: Cheryl Burke Taking A Season Off To Pursue Other Opportunities?

How are you all today? Check out this news (rumor?) from E News. It mentions how Cheryl Burke will be taking a season off from Dancing With The Stars after this one to take a break and pursue other opportunities and could one of them be The Bachelorette as rumored in the past and now again? Or will it be another reality show she ventures on to? One ‘Bachelorette’ insider says they are not interested in her. Read more below…

“ABC has asked her for years to do the show, she is holding out for a big payday because she knows she would bring a lot to the show,” a source tells E! News. “She is taking a season off after this All Stars season to take a break and see about other opportunities.”

Another source tells us that the dancer isn’t in talks, but has met with ABC on several occasions to talk about her doing some sort of reality show. The Bachelorette has been mentioned in those conversations, but there are no talks going on right now.

So will we see Burke hanging up her dancing shoes in exchange for roses? According to a Bachelorette insider: not a chance.

“Never gonna happen! Never!” our rock-solid source laments, revealing that Burke has been the one “begging to do the show” and not the other way around.

Even though I’ve enjoyed Cheryl’s dancing and attitude much more this season, I don’t think a break would hurt. As for her doing The Bachelorette, I can’t see it, but, oh, how my Dad would probably love it. Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Thanks Sandy for the heads up on this news today!

ETA1: Here is more from E News. They talked directly with Cheryl about the rumors of her doing The Bachelorette. It’s true as well as the fact she’s been seeking other TV show opportunities. However, as reported above, the producers of The Bachelorette are most likely going to pursue a “real” person for the role and not a celebrity. Thanks to Lori for the heads up.

DWTS Season 14 Possibility – Ali Fedotowsky To Dance?

Two interesting tweets have me raising my eye brow up again after Dancing With The Stars fan @caralevasseur sent John this news at his twitter account about Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky. Take a look below at these tweets made yesterday and last night…

Got the BEST Valentine’s day gift! Can’t share it now (I know-such a tease) but will soon! Hope everyone is smiling as much as I am today :)
Ali Fedotowsky

Apartment hunting continues in LA tomorrow. Praying I find the perfect place!!! It’s hard!
Ali Fedotowsky

As you might remember, Ali was rumored to dance on Dancing With The Stars in Season 11 which you can view in a previous Heidi posting here. Doing some more digging, Ali has remarked in the past via Zap2It that she thought it would be fun to dance on the show, but, they hadn’t asked her. Then there is this quote from E News in August of 2010 after the Season 11 cast reveal….

“It’s not going to happen!” said the betrothed former Bachelorette, fiancé Roberto Martinez by her side. “Not goin’ to happen…but we’ll be watching.”

Ali hopes to at least be in the audience this season, as she was when it was announced that she would be the next Bachelorette.

“I had so much fun,” she said. “I was dancing in my seat and I said, ‘I need to be a part of this!'”

“Maybe next season!” Roberto added. “Maybe next season,” Ali agreed.

Note: Ali is also following @DancingABC (the official Dancing With The Stars twitter account), not that it means anything significant.

Note #2: She was also seen last weekend at a Pre-Grammy party (the same one Kym and Cheryl attended) which you can read about here.

So, what do you think? Could Ali be a possibility this Season again? Does this news raise one of your eyebrows? LOL.

I can sure see a Maks pairing…or how about Derek? :) Penny for your thoughts!!

DWTS14 Cast – Hunches & Suspicions about Sherri Shepherd & Sam Champion

This is a post that Vogue & I decided to write after making some interesting observations on Twitter & TV :-) Keep in mind that no other news outlet has reported on these two as “casting rumors” this season, and that this is just Vogue and I postulating based on our observations and some gut feelings.  Since the casting rumors so far have been kinda sparse, we figured we’d go ahead and share. But read this with a grain of salt, if you will 😉

First up, we have Sherri Shepherd – and with that, I’m going to turn it over to Vogue:

Vogue: Thanks Courtney! Well, on the day Dance With Me Studios was filming for the Christmas and New Years Nancy Grace shows, @PulseCreativeNY at twitter was posting pictures promoting what was going down. She posted twitter photos of Maks, Val, Carson, Tristan, and Nancy to name just a few. In the mix and to my surprise, she also posted a picture of SHERRI SHEPHERD. At first I didn’t think anything of it, but, then I got to thinking of the recent rumors about Sherri dancing on Dancing With The Stars and for several seasons now. Sherri has expressed great interest, but, the timing was always wrong at the time. I quickly pmed Heidi about it to see if she was at twitter to see what she thought….especially being Sherri was clothed in work out clothes very similar to what Nancy Grace always wore for rehearsing. Sherri was also pictured with VAL! Now maybe this is something and maybe not since, as you know, Dance With Me Studios is where they teach people how to dance? The interesting part is, no sooner had @PulsecreativeNY posted that picture, she quickly took it down (kicks self for not taking screen shot in time). Now, my suspicions grew even more. lol Another interesting note is that Sherri currently follows Tony, Cheryl, Val, and Kirstie Alley….but, not Maks (atleast not since the last time I checked). She’s talked a lot at twitter about dieting and getting into shape…why? It’s like she’s preparing for something…is it…could it be….Dancing With The Stars? 💡 :) In covering all of our bases, we thought we better mention it.

Heidi adds:  Highly suspicious indeed and, as you might imagine, I asked Vogue what she would do next time she saw something “interesting” on twitter. SCREENSHOT. Immediately. :-) Before doing anything else.   In regard to Sherri herself – I vote NO. Nothing against Sherri, but if she’s already been spending time over at Dance with Me and is taking lessons?? Ha! And you though Derek has had advantages!!  CheaterCheaterCheater (sung in 12 year old voice)!! Who was the last contestant who took ballroom before DWTS?? Donny Osmond is the only one I know of. Didn’t think it was fair then, don’t think it would be fair now.  Of course, maybe Sherri just wants to get in shape without going on the show (what fun would that be?) and is doing it at Dance With Me. Who knows?? Well, we will in 30 days or so. :-)

Now we move on to a guy who has only come to my attention as a possible contestant in the past few hours: Sam Champion.  For those of you who don’t know, Sam is the weather guy on Good Morning America, and is a HUGE fan of DWTS.  He usually live tweets Monday night’s performance shows, and even had a Monday night “Tweet-off” with Chris Cuomo (a former fellow GMA anchor who’s now with 20/20) last year – DWTS vs. Monday Night Football. In short – the guy obviously loves DWTS :-) Anyway! It was announced on GMA this morning that the cast would be announced on GMA the morning of Feb. 28…and who was the most excited out of all the anchors? Sam.  Who was off-camera, but made a point of jumping in the shot when Robin made the announcement? Sam.  Who was disappointed when Robin said he’d have to wait until Feb. 28 to hear the cast? Sam.  Who acted extra coy & fiddly during the whole segment? Sam.  If you haven’t yet, go watch the video Vogue posted – Sam acts unusually squirrely, and seems extremely excited to announce the cast.  Perhaps because he’s part of it…?  You also have to take into account that the cast announcements for the past 4 seasons of DWTS have all occured during The Bachelor or The Bachelorette – big primetime ratings draws.  Far bigger than the audience they’re likely to get from announcing the cast in a morning slot…so what would entice TPTB to change the timing, you ask? Perhaps the fact that one of the GMA anchors is going to be one of this season’s celebs? If you think about it, the reason they switched to announcing the cast during the The Bachelor in season 10 was because Jake, that season’s Bachelor, was going to be a part of it.  What’s to say they wouldn’t do the same this time around? To add to my growing suspicions, I was exchanging emails with my lovely mother this morning, and the minute I mentioned we thought someone from GMA was going to be part of the cast (all the anchors were acting kinda odd), her immediate response was “It’s Sam Champion, isn’t it?” Apparently Robin made a comment on the air recently about Sam being a good dancer – a comment that seemed a bit unusual, given the context.  Perhaps a bit of a hint from Robin? Draw your own conclusions, but Sam’s behavior this morning practically screamed “I’ve got a secret…I’m going to be on DWTS!!!!” to me 😉

Heidi:  As you know, I have to add my two cents to this whole thing, too. My response to Courtney this morning was “well, it’s either Sam or Robin” – based mainly on the fact that Robin is also a fan to the point that she’s had Maks teach her a few moves. :-)  I say no to Robin (but not as much of a no as I do to Sherri and I won’t be mad if she’s on) and YES YES YES to Sam. I would love to see him on the show. Everyone on that show is a giant though, with Sam being about 6’3″ or so. But they’ve had taller. I think Sam is a ray of sunshine and he could fill the Ken doll slot if Derek isn’t around. 😉

So what do you guys think? Could we be seeing Sherri & Sam hoofing as contestants on season 14? :-)

DWTS Season 13 Rumors!! Ashley Hebert

For the (fortunately) uninitiated, Ashley is the current Bachelorette.  Ashley is a sweet girl and she’s already a pretty good dancer, although I don’t know if she has any kind of formal training other than college. I would put her in the category of Melissa and Erin, I think. Only problem is – she’s The Bachelorette, which is kinda gag inducing. And that show isn’t making her look like the sharpest tool in the shed, if you get my meaning. :-) I think she’s also a tiny little thing, so I would see her with Derek, Mark or Louis….or Damian, I suppose.

According to Hollywood Life –

A source tells that ‘The Bachelorette’s’ Ashley Hebert is in negotiations to join ‘Dancing with the Stars’!

Ashley Hebert might be following in the footsteps of Melissa Rycroft. The Bachelorette star has been offered a spot on the new season of Dancing with the Stars, a source tells “The show executives would love to have her on for next season, and so they’ve asked if she will join the cast.” So is Ashley going to sign on?

“They are in negotiations, and it is definitely hers if she wants it,” our DWTS insider tells us.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS Season 11 Casting Rumors – The Typecasting of Season 11, Part II

So apparently I might be onto something with my typecasting theories, because it seems like a lot of you are also trying to deduce from the absolutely CRAZY amount of rumors flying around who might be fulfilling each type…and honestly, at this point, I have no clue what to believe 😛 But that’s the fun of DWTS, right?

If the majority of what’s being reported is true (doubtful), then it looks to me like they might actually skip some types this season (haven’t heard any major reports about soap stars or hosts);  but if they’re leaking only a few actual celeb participants and the rest are red herrings, then we might get few suprises thrown in and have a more “well-rounded” cast.  But enough general speculation – on with the rest of the types!

The Teen Idol

Previous examples: Joey McIntyre, Aaron Carter, Donny Osmond, Lance Bass, Mel B., Joey Fatone, Drew Lachey, Joey Lawrence, Ian Ziering, Cody Linley, Sabrina Bryan, Mario Lopez

Advantages: If sales of Tiger Beat are any indicator, the teenyboppers will come out in full force to support their favorite heartthrobs/idols.  Being young & good-lookin’ sure doesn’t hurt! Many also have the added advantage of having a decent dance background, especially if they were part of a musical act.

Disadvantages: Youth can also have its disadvantages – as in immaturity.  What some might call “youthful exuberance”, others might call “immaturity” or “attention deficit disorder” – poor Cody Linley had a hard time sitting still! Emotional immaturity (a la Aaron Carter’s post-rumba meltdown in the confessional) can be especially off-putting.

Possible candidates this season: Looks like Brandy is our best guess.

The Host

Previous examples: Jerry Springer, Brooke Burke, Leeza Gibbons, Mario Lopez, Kenny Mayne, Lisa Rinna, Tucker Carlson, Mark Dacascos, Rocco DiSpirito, Erin Andrews

Advantages: Being that they’ve been at the helm of their own shows, these guys usually have the media savvy & charisma to appeal to the masses, as well as the previous exposure & recognizability.  Most (not all!) are also decently attractive, which never seems to hurt (unless, of course, you’re a model – see previous post for explanation).

Disadvantages: Many hosts are only used to hosting – as in just sitting down & talking (or dodging the occasional punch, if you’re Springer), so the lack of movement experience problem seems to come into play.

Possible candidates this season:  Chris Jericho also hosts some show on NBC, so I guess he could do double-duty and fulfill the role of both the athlete and the host.

The Actor

Previous examples: John O’Hurley, Melissa Joan Hart, Steve Guttenburg, John Ratzenberger, Debi Mazar, Denise Richards, Ted McGinley, Shannon Elizabeth, Jennie Garth, Vivica Fox, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Shannen Doherty

Advantages: Being that their bread & butter is acting, most can usually nail the emotions of the dances. Bonus points if they’ve done any Broadway (like Winokur) because they have likely had dance experience.

Disadvantages: For lack of a better term, many of them seem to be “has-beens” – actors that haven’t been particularly active in the mainstream in the past several years – or were never that big to begin with (can anyone else think of anything John O’Hurley has been in BESIDES Seinfeld?), making it harder for them to garner votes from a public who may not remember them.

Possible Candidates this season: This one has blown up big within the last few days – we’ve got David Hasselhoff, Jennifer Grey, & Florence Henderson (who could also be considered a “legend”) now on our radar. There’s been a campaign for Bern Nadette Stanis, as well as one for Leslie Jordan that he himself is heading up.  Also a minor campaign for Melissa Peterman.

The Reality Star

Previous examples: Kim Kardashian, Kelly Osbourne, Melissa Rycroft, Steve-O, Holly Madison, Trista Sutter, Shanna Moakler, Kate Gosselin, Jake Pavelka

Advantages: Many have achieved pop culture icon status on their respective reality outlets, making them fairly recognizable.

Disadvantages: They may be memorable for the wrong reasons – people tended to remember things like Kim Kardashian’s sex tape more than her reality show, and people seemed more focused on Holly Madison’s split from Hef than her antics on The Girls Next Door.  Many can also come across as attention-hungry & talentless – reality TV is often looked down upon as a way to get famous without having any talent whatsoever.

Possible candidates this season: Oy vey – this is the subtype that has had, by far, the greatest amount of casting rumors…everyone from The Situation to Teresa Giudice to both Ali Fedotowsky & fiancée Roberto Martinez, to Audrina Patridge, but it’s hard to tell who’s got a legit chance and who’s bluffing.  Personally, I’m still holding out for Sig Hansen 😉

The Singer

Previous examples: Mya, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mario, Belinda Carlisle, Master P, Chuck Wicks, Sara Evans, Willa Ford, Monique Coleman, Toni Braxton, Macy Gray, Nicole Scherzinger

Advantages: As with the teen idols, many have had dance experience concurrent with their music careers.

Disadvantages: Most seem to be committed solely to one genre of music (often R&B or country), making it hard to appeal to a wide fanbase.

Possible candidates this season: Most obvious choice? Michael Bolton.  But in the same token, you could also have Brandy and/or David Hasselhoff fulfilling this role if they’re trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. The Xzibit rumor is still lingering slightly, and Pete Wentz fans are still holding out hope.

The Wild Card

Previous examples: Heather Mills, Tom DeLay, Mark Cuban, Steve Wozniak, Priscilla Presley, Buzz Aldrin

Advantages: The sheer novelty of having someone with such an off-the-beaten-path claim to fame (famous divorcee/widow, entrepreneur, disgraced politician, etc.) may be enough to have the public voting them – just to see what happens.  Being the “underdog” is a powerful thing!

Disadvantages: Due to their often dubious fame, people just may not have any clue who they are – I personally had to Google Mark Cuban’s name.

Possible candidates this season: Can it get much wild card-ier than Bristol Palin?! Good grief…still trying to wrap my brain around how they’re going to try and spin her claim to fame…
