PureDWTS Season 16 Post Elimination Media, Numerology Prediction Correct, And More

We have lots of fun post Dancing With The Stars Season 16 elimination interviews and media to share with you this morning, but, first we’d like to commend reader @DonaMadrina. She nailed it in her Numerology Report that she sent to us for the new Zodiac post this season. She made us a graph in gif form so we could take a look at this again….

NumerologySeason16FinaleChart1

Amazing, isn’t it? GOOD JOB DONA!!xxx

With that said, I’d just like to comment how much I loved last night’s finale. I think my only complaint of the whole night (like many others) was Zendaya’s flat shoes. 8O Other than that, it was so cool seeing Sharna and Andy’s phenomenal Mad Hatter Lady Gaga Jazz number again. What’s more, they made it a huge dance production. And how about Dorothy Hamill and Kristi Yamaguchi’s dance with Henry and Sasha? What a “moment” that was. I also loved the performances by Wynonna (what a powerhouse), PSY (I’m so addicted to that crazy song and dance production now. lol), and Pitbull. A night to remember for sure!! More in Heidi’s Spoiler post and comments. You can also download all the music from the night in John’s new Music post here.

Ok, so let’s get right to some elimination interviews with Access Hollywood. Derek and Kellie, Aly and Mark, and Jacoby and Karina reflect on the season and how happy they are for this experience. Sorry, there isn’t anything posted for Val and Zendaya (yet anyway?)….

E News has a wrap up on the night and some interviews as well here.

And thanks to Kaitlyn showing us their location, below are the On The Red Carpet interviews…..

Let’s hope ET Online has some interviews posted shortly too.

Also, stay tuned to Pure Derek Hough as Miss Heidi will have a full mega wrap up there with Kellie and Derek including more articles and interviews for what you don’t see here.

Ok, more in a bit!!! ;)

ETA: Here is the cast out and about after the finale:

I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. He says that in some ways, everyone dances and it's so true. To TPTB, how about this song for next season's theme song? Robin G Ft. Wilunleashed - A Good Time (Original) // Download High Quality

DWTS Season 16, Week 6 – Dancing by the Numbers

Such a weird night. First, they yank out the tens for one of Zendaya’s worst dances….it’s almost like they knew that Team Paso was gonna suck kinda hard. Then, Carrie Ann refuses to give up a 10 to Kellie and Derek, claiming that there was space between them, yet totally failing to note Zendaya’s again bad legs. They then totally hose Andy (and Len continues to be excessively mean to him), while being kind to Victor, who had a worse dance than Andy’s.

Weirdest of all – on paper, Team Paso should have had that dance in the bag. So, did they get over confident? Think they could skate by on bare chests (didn’t the same pros fail at that last season as well?)?? What?? I guess this just goes to show that if you are the weaker team and you have to be MORE creative in order to get past your weak dancers, you just DO.

It will be really funny when the team dance that sucked eggs (and looked like the poor man’s version of Derek/Brooke’s team paso at the end) wins the encore. LOL. Yeeeaaah. :-D

Anyway, how did our dancers do??

week 6

So…Victor is in deep doo doo. It will take a bit of a miracle to save him at this point. What does he need to get to be safe? Victor needs ONE of the following things to happen:

-        Victor needs 8,000 more votes per million votes cast than Andy, OR;

-        Victor needs 13,300 more votes per million votes cast than Jacoby, OR;

-        Victor needs 16,000 more votes per million votes cast than EITHER Ingo or Sean, OR;

-        Victor needs 29,200 more votes per million votes cast than Zendaya, OR;

-        Victor needs 32,000 more votes per million votes cast than Aly, OR;

-        Victor needs 37,200 more votes per million votes cast than Kellie.

Frankly, I don’t believe Victor gets any of those margins. His best bet is Andy and Andy was low scorer last week but was NOT in the bottom two. Victor, on the other hand, had two people below him in terms of score, but was still in the bottom two. Not looking good for Victor. At all.

But let’s say that Victor manages to pass someone. Andy is next in line in terms of judges score. What does Andy need to have happen in order to be safe? He needs ONE of the following:

-        Andy needs for Victor to NOT get 8,000 more votes per million votes cast than him, OR;

-        Andy needs 5,350 more votes per million votes cast than Jacoby, OR;

-        Andy needs 8,000 more votes per million votes cast than EITHER Ingo or Sean, OR;

-        Andy needs 21,300 more votes per million votes cast than Zendaya, OR;

-        Andy needs 24,000 more votes per million votes cast than Aly, OR;

-        Andy needs 29,200 more votes per million votes cast than Kellie.

Now, I don’t think Victor is getting the 8k he needs…and I would be willing to bet that Andy is getting 8k more than Ingo. I just think that Ingo has worn out his welcome. But he was put in jeopardy last week and sometimes a guy gets a bounce after that happens. Will Ingo?? I dunno. My gut is saying no. I think, based largely on his bromance with Tristan and how funny he was about that, Sean is likely safe this week.  I think it will come down to Victor, Ingo and Andy.

What does Ingo (or Sean) need to have happen in order to be safe?? Ingo (or Sean) needs ONE of the following things to happen:

-        Ingo needs for Victor to not get the 16,000 more votes per million votes cast than him, OR;

-        Ingo needs for Andy  to not get the 8,000 more votes per million votes cast than him, OR;

-        Ingo needs for Jacoby to NOT get the 2,700 more votes per million votes cast than him, OR;

-        Ingo needs to get ONE more vote per million votes cast than Sean, OR;

-        Ingo needs 13,300 more votes per million votes cast than Zendaya, OR;

-        Ingo needs 16,000 more votes per million votes cast than Aly, OR;

-        Ingo needs 21,300 more votes per million votes cast than Kellie.

Okay, so based on all of the above, I think the following happens:

-        Ingo and Sean aren’t touching Jacoby and he’s safe, easily getting 2,700 more votes per million votes cast than each of them;

-        Andy gets 8k more than Ingo and Victor can’t catch him and is, therefore, safe;

-        Ingo is getting beat by Sean, Jacoby and Andy, but there is no way that Victor is getting 16k more votes per million votes cast….

-        Therefore, Victor goes home.

Seems like a simple math problem this week, but I could be wrong. I was starting to wonder if perhaps Zendaya wasn’t getting the votes, as badly as they overscored her Cha Cha, but I’m also wondering if they put her just far enough down to be safe while rallying her fans to vote like the little maniacs they are.

Doesn’t matter, IMO.  I think it will either be Victor and Ingo or Victor and Andy in the bottom two and Victor will go home.

I’m saying it will be Victor and Ingo in the bottom two and Victor goes home.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS Season 16, Week 5 – Dancing by the Numbers

Okay, that turned out somewhat better than expected. For all the pimping of Maks, he ended up being a non-event – for me, anyway.  It’s rather odd, actually. I guess when you have nothing better to pimp, pimp one of the pro dancers who’s known for being a “bad boy” who’s not on this season. Ummmm…okay. I guess TPTB are just pandering to one group or another all the damn time. For those extremist Maks fans who read this site just so they can complain about us (yeah, it makes no sense to me either), the ratings were up LAST week, so if they are up again this week? Get over yourselves…it’s a trend, not an aberration. Reminds me of the Twihards who claimed they were tanking the MTV Awards this year by not watching…and they were actually UP significantly. Don’t jack with numbers, man. :-)

Mah goodness, my favorites of the night were Jacoby and Kellie – fantastic. Loved it. Zendaya is being soured for me by the pimping…and seriously? The bent legs, the instability coming out of the turns…if this girl were dancing with Derek she’d be getting hosed for being a ringer. And we’d be getting trolls out the wazoo.  But since she’s dancing with Val she essentially has rainbows shooting out her ass.  The girl is a good dancer, yes. And I like her as a person. But I have to tell you, I’m seeing a LOT of people in the comments here and on twitter who are getting REALLY good at predicting exactly what will happen. Up for 2 weeks, down for two weeks…to come roaring back to get two tens. Hello – we’ve seen this storyboarding before.  I expect someone else will get a perfect 30 next week – either Aly or Kellie, most likely. Because we have to keep it a horse race at all costs, so it can’t be Zendaya. And, as predicted, Zendaya and Val get the encore.

In the “credit where credit is due” department – Kick ass opening dance, Lacey Schwimmer!! Excellent. Loved it. Girlfriend has been honing her group choreo skills over there in Vegas and it’s paid off.  MUCH better job than Sharna did last week on the women’s number, although Lacey has the benefit of time and no celeb partner. And Sharna is doing great with Andy.

Anyway….how did our dancers do?? Read more..

DWTS Season 16, Week 4 – Dancing by the Numbers

Oy veh, ABC. This twitter stuff is just CRAP. I put that right in my opener in hopes they see it and realize that they are quickly turning me off this show. :-)

Seriously, saving Lisa for the end and claiming she just then decided to dance?? Tom called it – “Sure hope she’s dancing, otherwise we have a lot of time to fill.” The constant, craven need for buzz, hype, younger viewers – it’s just become so distasteful. You are looking desperate, DWTS, and that looks good on NO ONE.

Interestingly, the only dances I found to be really memorable last night were Jacoby and Andy. And, after last night, I become more convinced that Jacoby will win this unless Zendaya’s fan’s parents let them stay up past 9 pm to vote. Because those children are CRAZY on Twitter – egged on by Zendaya and Val themselves.  Courtney and I both got trolled on twitter by the charming little dears. Sorry, not terribly impressed with Zendaya’s Samba (it was a Samba, right?), nor was I terribly impressed with Kellie’s rumba – both were good dances, but I guess I was expecting more.  I was concerned that Kellie wouldn’t be able to give the Rumba her all in front of her hubby while he was playing the song they got married to – not to mention losing a day and a half of rehearsal. It was a very good dance, it just didn’t touch me the way I hoped. Perhaps my expectations were too high. That said…I’ve already forgotten Aly’s Contemporary.

It’s entirely possible that  my entire view of the show last night could be colored by the fact that the Man Behind the Curtain is wearing neon and jumping up and down, waving his arms.  This show bored me. The cardinal sin of TV shows. Maybe I will like it better tomorrow.

On the up side, there will be lots of dancing in the results show.  :-)   Guess what, ABC?? I LOVE DANCING. Read more..

DWTS Season 16, Week 3 – The Cheesecake Awards!!

A whole bunch of weird stuff this week. Just weird… occasionally stupid…and sometimes charming.

The “He’s SO one of us!” Award: Tom Bergeron for saying, on the performance night, “Welcome to Prom Night…or ‘It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time’ Night!!”

Heidi: Tom is getting less and less good at hiding his opinion when he thinks something is a stupid idea. :-) And when he’s right, he’s right. I’m quite sure this wasn’t his only crack about Prom night.

Courtney: Tom has obviously been spending too much time lurking at Pure, because he took the words right out of my mouth :-D But unfortunately for him, he is still on the show’s payroll, and we are not…so this is probably the best we’re going to get out of him, with regards to how derp-y the show has gotten.  But alas, I felt vindicated nonetheless :-)

Professional Dancer LOL of the Performance Show: Gleb, for “You look like a dancer when you don’t move.”

Heidi: Surely I wasn’t the only one who not only LOLed at that one, but also developed a new appreciation for the newest pretty face on this show. :-)

Courtney: It actually sounded a lot like something Maks would have said to Kirstie…only Gleb sounded so much more melodic when he said it :-P

Heidi: You know, they say tone is everything. :-) Read more..

PureDWTS Post Elimination Media For Wynonna Judd And Tony Dovolani, Saying Good-bye

Well, once again we have to say good-bye to a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and this time a Country Legend. I’ll never forget how excited my Dad was when he first heard Wynonna Judd was dancing. He had to relive the time he saw her in concert in Casper, Wyoming. Not many big names come to Wyoming, so this was a big deal and says a lot too for Wynonna’s character. Not only does she really care for her fans, she literally loves the country. Though what I’ll always remember about Wynonna is how she did something to step out of her comfort zone and faced her fears for which she continually encourages her fans to do the same. She stood by and lived up to those mottos. What a strong spirit and one full of grace with a great message for us all. Wynonna, you disappointed no one.

With all that said, let’s get straight to some interviews after the elimination….

Before someone asks, no Wynonna and Tony did not do Jimmy Kimmel last night. If there are more interviews, we’ll be sure to post them.

UPDATE: Wynonna and Tony were on GMA today to talk of their elimination. You can view this segment HERE.

DWTS Season 16, Week 3 – Who Got the Boot? (SPOILERS)

Gee, to think Zendaya won Prom Queen. That wasn’t at all expected. :::rolls eyes::: To make matters WORSE, the judges pick Sean for the encore? This show got off to a craptastic start. Bruno was the best part of that encore.

Anyway, Lisa, Wynonna and Andy were in jeopardy tonight.  Lisa was then called safe and Brooke said that Wynonna and Andy were the BOTTOM TWO.  For those of you not paying attention. :-) Wynonna was then eliminated.

How did we do??

Heidi: Said Wynonna was going home, if not her then DL or maybe Lisa.

Courtney: She had D.L. with Lisa second to last and Wynonna third to last.

Vogue-y: Also had D.L. with Sean next to last.

Winner: Me and Andy. :-)

Singer and DWTS Wynonna Judd’s Husband Cactus Moser Walks For The First Time Since Leg Amputation

This is just too awesome for words. I can’t imagine how relieved Wynonna and her husband Cactus are?! What a journey and emotional ride they’ve been on!! No matter what happens to Wynonna tonight on Dancing With The Stars, this is a true blessing and a shining star reigns….

Wynonna Judd’s husband, Michael Scott “Cactus” Moser, is doing a two-step again.

After enduring life-threatening injuries from a motorcycle accident that took one of his legs, Moser walked for the first time Monday with the assistance of a prosthetic leg.

“After eight months of waiting, he walked towards me for the first time two days ago,” Judd, 48, told People backstage at “Dancing with the Stars.” “It’s been an emotional ride for me this week.”

Fellow “Stars” contestant Lisa Vanderpump was one of the first people to walk alongside Moser.

For Judd, seeing her husband walk again “freaked me out because I’ve seen him in a wheelchair and using a walker, and he just walked towards me and I was like, ‘Wow.’”

Seeing him come full circle was an amazing experience for her.

“I was so stunned,” she continued. “I saw the wreck; I saw him lose the leg.”

Moser, 55, collided with an oncoming vehicle on Aug. 18 while riding alongside Judd who was on her own bike. The couple took the leisurely ride before their scheduled performance in Deadwood, S.D. Although Judd was not injured in the accident, her drummer husband was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.

“The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I,” she said in a release at the time. “Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side.”

The couple, who married in June, continue inspiring each other through it all.

He even reassures her while she’s being whisked around the dancefloor by her partner, Tony Dovolani.

“He’s so positive,” she said of her husband. “I call him Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky. It’s really irritating, because sometimes I just want to complain or act tired about dancing, and he’ll say, ‘But you’re moving, and you’re looking so great.’ I’m like ‘Go talk to Tony. You guys are so alike.’”
