DWTS Season 11 – Who’s Dancing with Who? Full Cast List!
Okay, here’s what I gleaned from Twitter since GMA is tape delayed in my time zone. Turns out GMA only announced Jennifer, The Situ, Brandy, Audrina and David – but some said it was so fast (and not good) that they had to check ABC.com for the full list.

Finally finally we have the pairings! Thanks Heidi and yes, you were great in your guesses.
Kurt and Anna are gonna make a pretty hot pairing. Hopefully he can move well. And I hope Audrina is a lot better than Kate. Though I imagine that’s not a tough achievement. 😉
I’m getting more and more anxious to see how everyone does. I think the fact that there’s no clear ringer right now (unless Brandy is a Mya/Nicole) makes it more exciting. (at least to me)
@ck410 – I agree about the Anna – Kurt pairing…definitely excited to see that one. As for Brandy, I’m not so sure she’s gonna turn out to be a Mya or a Nicole – if you check out some of her music videos (like I Wanna Be Down), it doesn’t seem like she does a whole lot of dancing – really just kinda grooves along as her backup dancers do most of the heavy dancing. I don’t think she’ll be the worst dancer by any means, but I also think people are gonna be disappointed if they’re holding out for another Mya.
I’m actually really excited about The Situation & Karina pairing as well – I was afraid he was going to end up with Lacey, whose choreography I don’t always think brings out the best in her partners. But I think Karina will really push The Sitch and could actually take him pretty far in the competition.
I love Chelsie, and I love Michael Bolton – I’m just not sure that I love them together. I’m afraid they might be an early exit, because I don’t recall Michael ever really doing any dancing in his videos or in concert.
I like the Anna-Kurt pairing too. He seems like he’s on the quieter side like Evan so I imagine they will get along well too. Anna keeps mentioning travel–I wonder if they are not rehearsing in LA.
Someone mentioned the height difference with Cheryl and Rick last night. I am curious to see how that will work out.
All of the pairs are classic DWTS pairings. You can see what the producers had in mind when they paired them up. The only one that’s way out there is the Chelsie and Michael Bolton. That’s going to be interesting to see play out.
I bet The Situation and Karina go to blows.
Anna and Kurt are a strong team.
Cheryl and Rick Fox will be interesting since he is so tall. Reminds me a bit of Ochocinco, but not quite as skinny.

@John Haha, yeah that’s pretty hard to do. I don’t know much about Audrina since I’ve never watched The Hills. I’ve just heard from a few friends that she’s pretty ditzy. But Tony seems excited in his recent tweets so maybe she’s not so bad. Hopefully she can remember her steps.
I’m getting more excited on this list now than when I first heard it. For one thing, the pros really have their work cut out with them since none of the Celebs are really “ringers” (that we know of). So, it’s going to be fun to sit back and see just how well the Pros can teach and if these Celebs will listen.
I was think also thinking back to when I first heard Kelly Osbourne was on the show. At first, I thought she’d be awful and that I wouldn’t like her on the show. Boy, was I wrong. She ended up being great. It was fun watching her and her progress. She was entertaining too. Look how much she grew and has grown as a person from the experience as well. That was when I gained a lot of respect for what Louis could do. Anyway, I hope the same happens for this Season’s bunch.
I love how Robin said that about giving Jeniffer to Derek is UNFAIR. Why can’t like Mark gets her and Derek gets Bristol.
I also like this cast. They don’t have an obvious ringer but many do know how to dance.
Plus they have someone for everyone. They have David and Michael for my grandparents, Kurt and Rick for BF/Husband , The Situation and Audrina for my generation, and Bristol for ratings.
Karina & The Situation are going to make a hot pair!

I’d say the pro dancers are for the BF/Husband. The guy athletes are more for the ladies…imho.
@ck410 & John – Can’t remember where I heard it (wayyyy too much media flying around lately to remember it all), but the general consensus from those that’ve seen Tony & Audrina practice is that Audrina is basically another Kathy Ireland – very pretty girl that really can’t dance. I have a feeling she will prove to be a pretty awkward mover – but unlike Kate, she might actually smile while she’s doing it 😉
@John – I think Karina’s actually mellowed quite a bit – I’m not sure those two will come to blows. The Situation actually seems pretty polite as far as the ladies go (unless your name is Snooki), and if Karina can keep her cool around an emotional time bomb like Aaron Carter, I don’t think she & the Sitch will have any big altercations.
@Vogue – I agree. I mean worst case scenario they all suck or don’t live up to expectations in the premiere, at least there’s potential for improvement. I’d much rather see celebs who grow from the beginning or maybe have some hidden dance abilities that no one really expected.
I remember when I heard Warren Sapp was going to be on, I just thought, “Wow I feel sorry for his poor partner’s feet. They’re gonna get crushed!” But he ended being one of the most entertaining ones to watch on that season because of how well he moved. Or as Bruno said, “Big boys can dance!” Haha.
I wonder if they’re going to give The Sitch the cha cha or vienesse waltz for his first dance. It’s gonna be so odd to see him in a tux. Hehe.

I don’t think you’re a troll, I think you’re just wrong. 🙂 People will ALWAYS say that Derek’s pairing is “unfair” because he’s just that good. They would even find a way to hate on Florence if he had gotten her. Fact is, Jennifer is a 50 year old woman who danced in a movie 23 years ago. She has no edge over Brandy (for sure – she’s much more likely to be a ringer) or Bristol (who will at least get Marky lots of press – and Derek doesn’t need or want that right now). She’s what? The fourth oldest person on the show? You must REALLY believe that Derek is a genius. 🙂
Maks is already talking showmance with his partner. I haven’t watched the video yet to see if he’s joking. I’ll watch it and post it later. I hope he’s joking. I’m really getting sick of a couple of these pros working the showmance angle for all it’s worth – I’m looking at you, Maks and Cheryl. That was WAY too much last season – and it’s partly the producers fault for playing it up, of course. But in watching the paparazzi video, both couples were initially guilty of playing it up.

Yes, this showmance stuff is pretty lame. I don’t think Cheryl will be part of it this season, at least not with her partner — after all, he’s already got Eliza Dushku on his arm.
Looks like the “showmances” this time around might be Karina and the Situation, and based on what E! was reporting yesterday, the Hoff and Kym.
I’m most excited to see Derek and Jennifer Grey. She’s recovering from cancer and neck surgery, plus she’s older, so it’s going to be challenging for him to choreograph their moves. Since he’s such a dynamic choreographer, he’s certainly up for the challenge.
I am also looking forward to the Situation and Karina, they could be hilarious or disturbing together. Derek does *not* have it easy this season with Jennifer. She has a great attitude going in, but as you said she danced in a movie 23 years ago and has not danced since. I also am tired of showmances, though I really don’t blame Cheryl for hers last season – Ocho was the one constantly throwing himself at her, flirting, teasing, etc. Cheryl is more discreet than that. 🙂
I agree that Jennifer is far from a favorite. I bet she’s not a great dancer now and I don’t think she has much of a fan base either. I predict middle of the pack for her at best.
I like the showmances. I don’t like doctored ones though. Unless it’s so over the top like Ochocinco and Cheryl. You could tell he totally wanted her and she didn’t care. That was good fun!
Starting to get excited about this season. I am definitely excited about seeing Derek/Jennifer. I think they will great together. Judging by her tweets, she seems to have a great sense of humor. This is the couple I’m most interested in seeing this season. I know Derek will put together some very sentimental performances!-Sweet!!
Also interested in seeing Brandy/Maks. She really has a fun personality.I kinda like Rick Fox, who am I kidding, he’s FINE so I’m looking forward to seeing him perform on the show. Very happy to see Karina back and hope she has a great season with Mike, he’s a grown man so I can’t call him by the other name-LOL
I think who will win it this year will depend on who is competitive and who is not. Here’s how I see the contestants with how competitive might be in this;
Brandy – 50% Competitive. But Max will be 100% Competitive. So, he may push that # up to 90%.
Audriana – 50% Competitive
Florence – 20% Competitive, she’ll be just having fun
Bristol – 100% Competitive, has something to prove personally and has a message for us about herself
Margaret Cho – 0% Competitive -just having fun too. Won’t care if she’s out that frst week.
Jennifer – 100% Competitive.
The Situation – 100% Competitive
Kyle – 20% Competitive
Rick Fox – 100% Competitive -it’s in the blood
David Hasselhoff – 100% Competitive -he will take this on just Donny Osmond (Nathan I so agree with you on that)
Michael Bolton – 0% Competitive. I love this guy. But, I have a feeling he doesn’t really care and hopes to be out soon especially with concert dates falling on a Monday and Tuesday?

Wow! I cant get over the hight diiffrence between Rick and Cheryl! Hes over a foot taller than her! Idk how that will work. i like cheryl but i think they thet should of brought back Anna Demidova. 😀

I’m excited for the new season, but these pairings are bo-ring and predictable. I think a previous poster said Classic DWTS.
Putting Bristol with Mark was the safe move – I think she would have gotten more out of this with Louis

Chelsie with Michael Bolton – really? I don’t see it – I like her with Mike Sorrentino better, and Lacey with Kyle and Karina with Michael Bolton. I’ve heard that Jennifer specifically asked for Derek – I wonder if any of the other celebs got their wish as well – do you suppose that M. Bolton asked for Chelsie??? I can’t imagine that either, but …. it just seems like an odd pairing to me? Anna T with Kurt is going to be a strong team, IF he’s got any rhythm. I have a feeling that Courtney is right about Audrina being another K.Ireland – poor Tony! Hopefully she’ll have the right attitude regardless. I think we might be a bit surprised by ol’ Flo – she may have more moves up her sleeve than we suspect! Hard not to speculate, even though – in all fairness – we should at least see them dance together once! I think I heard that it’s a 2-day premier, but I hope no one gets the boot that very first week!
Funny u people brought up the showmance coz that was the first thing that poped up in my mind. Who’s gonna hook up with who this season? So far it looks like Maks/Brandy and maybe Mark/Bristol. The rest of them seem to be in relationships. Maks already said that he’ll hook up with his partner.
I am rooting for 5 couples: 1) David and Kym (this partnership shoud be very entertaining since he is a strong personality) 2)Kurt Warner and Anna (he is still relatively young and if he is able to dance Anna will definately give him some really good choreography) 3)Jenniffer and Derek (this is a pairing that I can defiantely see getting into the finals……hopefully she tries to recreate the scene from the movie too) 4)maks and brandy (she was quiet in AGT and she doesn’t seem to have a personality that seems to “pop” on tv but Maks can definately get her to loosen up and to have fun). and finally 5)Florence Henderson and Corky (its nice to finally see that she is going to particiape insead of sitting in the audience again. Plus Corky is one of my personal favorite pro dancers since he has a strong personality and is really funny as well as being a good partner for the “older” contestants.). I am not quite sure about Audrina and Michael Bolton though. She seems like the person that they got to get the Hills viewers. As for Michael Bolton, I am not a fan of his music and find him boring.

Wasn’t that Lawrence Taylor with Edyta? As I recall, Michael Irvin (Anna D.’s partner) was always happy to make it through. He just wasn’t a very good dancer. It sure would have made sense to bring Anna D. back this season with all of the tall men.
As for Mike and Karina, I think that this is going to be the new Kate and Tony. Hopefully, I am wrong but I just can’t see him listening to her and ignoring her/giving her a hard time like Kate did to Tony. As for Bristol and Mark, I am excited to see that pairing in action. I would be surpirsed if she was good. The Disney kid was a surpirse but I don’t think he is going to last very long since he couldn’t dance on any of the shows he did (my daughter used to watch them both and he is entetaining but he couldn’t dance).
I will admit I used to be one of those that thought it was totally unfair that derek doesn’t get any clunkers, but I’ve realized that he’s just really talented and good enough teacher to make them look good. I attended a workshop with Alec and Edyta and they said at times there can be “favoritism” in picks, but someone mentioned Derek and Alec said that it didn’t really matter who they paired him up with, he’s just that good that he makes them look good and brings out a different side in his celebrities that most people don’t see. Edyta even said that the producers didn’t even expect Joanna Krupa to last very long. As for “the situation” and Karina, I think they’ll be fun to watch. Definitely not a Tony/Kate debacle, since Karina actually wanted “the situation” b/c she thought he was really attractive and all. If anything, it’ll be more of an Erin/Maks relationship and a showmance is more likely to happen lol. I think the Tony/Kate relationship will probably be Bristol/Mark, she doesn’t seem to really have much personality and barely smiles.
I’d say that Karina and Mike pair is going to be more like Karina’s relationship with Maks. All lovey dovey to start and then the crap hits the fan and they hate each other by the end.
I just wanted to see Chelsie, now, I feel like she’s only gonna be there a few weeks, if that. *pouts*

to #mmc – you’re absolutely correct (my memory is not what it once was!). Nonetheless, they still should have brought Anna D. back – I know she wasn’t very popular (didn’t we the audience vote her in? Along with some guy named Mayo?) I do think she deserves another shot with a different partner and this would have been a good season because, as you say, all the tall celebs. I think the Cheryl/Rick team is going to have problems because of the huge height difference (1’3″ if I’m correct). Rick is going to have a heck of a time maintaining good posture with a partner so much shorter. BUT – surprisingly, I thought the height difference between Chelsie & Michael was going to be much greater than it appears on the photo Heidi posted here. It’s turning into a very interesting season after all …..
I thought Maks was extremely gracious after coming in third last year.Don’t remember bitterness at all. And I saw the pap video. IMO Maks was clearly having fun with Henry in regards to the showmance. It’s called having a sense of humor.
Karina has been dating (living with) Brad Penny for almost a year now so I don’t know how much romance we will see between her and the Situation.
I just Googled both Elena Grinenko’s and Clyde Drexler’s heights and apparently they’re the same as Cheryl and Rick (5’4″ and 6’7″ respectively).

Yep, I thought a couple of days ago to put Cheryl with Rick was going to be a tough pairing. He’ll probably be smoother than Clyde, but the height difference is a major issue.
As far as I am concerned, I thought Maks and Erin last season were a couple of babies. They bitched about Nicole from the get go, and it was tiresome. Hopefully he’ll be more creative this season, because if I have to watch him come out to the dance floor, separate and walk around for eight bars, then have his partner solo when they aren’t ready to do it, AGAIN this season, (it’s a staple since season 4 with Laila) I will be forced to call him the Edyta of vapid choreography.
Jennifer looks good in the stills. Hopefully her health issues don’t make her this season’s Jane Seymour.
Margaret and Louis bringing the flamboyant to the dance floor, but I’m sorry, Johnny Weir would have been more creative than the Jesse James tattoo’d sleeve on Margaret.
Chelsie and Michael Bolton…I’m sorry, it’s just a Lolita visual I’m getting, and I wished Chelsie got Kurt Warner. That would have given her a chance.
The Hoff already sounds like he’s off the wagon in interviews, so I’m not looking forward to him.

Yep, Andie, the bitching by Erin and Maks all the way up to the end was annoying in the extreme, particularly since he didn’t give Erin nearly enough to do. What’s REALLY funny now, though, is that Maks has the closest thing to a ringer this season has – so, can he do anything with it?? Although I don’t know why I’m cutting Brandy any slack that wasn’t cut for Nicole – is there much difference between them, really, in terms of experience? I’ll have to do some research. People continually make the mistake of saying someone’s the biggest ringer just because they happen to be a better dancer. If that were true, you’d have to call Brooke a ringer. But Brandy’s had experience with choreography – so why is she not getting the ringer label?? I’ll hang it on her. 🙂

Boy, I just don’t get it. Lots of people are putting Jennifer as one of the frontrunners – and a lot of that has to do with Derek – but she’s had her freakin’ spine fused!! Not to mention she’s 50 years old. Are the odds makers as stupid as the idiots on the ABC message boards or am I missing something here? Is it that they don’t see any other clear front runners, so they put a lot of weight on Derek? I just read another article that pretty much said that Derek is the best choreographer on the show and likely has the largest personal fanbase – combine that with Jennifer’s past and they’ll be good. I’ll post it later, but I’m starting to wonder if Derek has set his own bar way high.

I’m with you. I’m not sure why they’re giving Jennifer such a chance. I’m trying to remember an old school movie star that’s been on the show that’s done very well. I’ll have to ask Marianya to look it up on her stats page.
