SPOILERS!!! DWTS Season 11 Week 1 – The Results
Well, I had this one in the mix, but didn’t call it. I don’t actually think any of the bloggers did. 🙂 I suggested it after a Tom Bergeron tweet this afternoon, but that doesn’t really count.
The Eliminated Couple? The Hoff and Kym. Oh, Kym, you epitome of hot woman we all wish we could be, how I will miss you.
The Score Card:
Courtney: Had the Hoff in fifth place. Understandable – I thought he had a fanbase too, but maybe it’s all international these days.
Heidi: Well, I considered it for a brief moment but never believed it would happen. Thought for sure it was between The Sitch and The Cho.
Marianya: Ms. Mari chooses the hard road and makes a prediction of the scores before she sees the dances. Based mainly on who’s dancing what and an estimation of how well they’ll do. And judging by how well Courtney and I did tonight, she can’t fare worse. 🙂 She nailed Kurt and Brandy’s scores – excellent! But she had David getting a 20, doing better than Kyle, Audrina and several others.
Ah well. We all struck out this week – except for John who leaves the predictions to us women. 😉
Tune in tomorrow for the Cheesecake awards. Beware – I feel bitchier than normal. 🙂 I wuz robbed of an all pro, no musical act, dance. And that pisses me OFF.
I was mad about the lack of pro dance too! Also, I wanted an encore dance, I’m very surprised they didn’t do that.
Just caught the last five minutes. Thank god we don’t have to endure the Hoff anymore.
The Hoff was bad. But, he was fun and entertaning. I was really looking forward to atleast a few more weeks with him and seeing if Kym could pull off some of her magic. I thought Michael Bolton was worse and is such a bore. He should have been the one to leave. Either that, or give them all a second chance. Oh well….here’s to next week.
Can’t wait to see the Cheesecake Award deal. (lol)
I could get rid of about 6 celebritites after night one. I could care less what order Hoff, Bolton, Cho, the Situation, Warner, or Palin goes. They all bore me. Mrs Brady is on the edge of being a trainwreck, but what the hell.
At least there’s Jennifer, Rick, Kyle, and Brandy, who at least entertained with actual dancing instead of filler.
Im glad the first hour was a recap so I could watch Glee. I had a feeling that the Hoff would be the first to go.
I was glad to that the first hour was a recap so I could watch Glee. It’s a great show. Once Tom and Brooke tweeted about the elimination, my guess was either Situation, Bolton or Hoff. Looking forward to reading the Cheesecake Awards.
The Hoff going home just seemed to go against so many patterns: he seemed decently popular (moreso than some of the other stars this season), was memorable (whether good or bad, it doesn’t matter), and he danced in the pimp spot. Speaking of which, he is only the 4th celeb in DWTS history to get sent home after dancing last. I’m just wondering if the big star power of this season has just left some celebs lost in the shuffle – everyone is fairly popular, so maybe people are dividing their votes more instead of voting for one couple in particular. Or maybe the Hoff got Sabrina’d (hehe…obviously not because he was a stellar dancer) and people just assumed that he’d be safe, and didn’t vote. Oh well – kinda glad the Situation got to stick around. I really do kinda like the guy, and I do think he’ll improve with time. As for Marge & Louis – all I can say is that he better thank his lucky stars that he got to stick around after that crap, and he better not dare try to repeat the slapstick act. Margaret deserves some legit choreo.
Hey, what was the deal with the cameras showing Jamie Lee Curtis last night a lot? Is she friends to Jennifer or is she thinking of being a future contestant…or maybe both? I hope she is. She’d be fun.
I’m fairly sure she’s friends with Jennifer. She was on Leno or Kimmel one night with The Situation and said that she was the captain of Team Jennifer. She was sitting in the audience with Jennifer’s husband and daughter too – she was right in front of Jennifer’s husband. So…
Of all the people I was least interested in seeing back – despite Kym being my fave – was David. I was surprised at his elimination because I thought he’d have more fan support. I’m more interested in seeing how Bristol and The Situation do (yes him – there’s something about him, dunno but I’m glad he’s got another shot) in upcoming weeks. David was so bad, but thought he was so good! Maybe he could have improved for his Ballroom round, but the Jive, the Samba – no way! Even the Quickstep next week was going to be a HUGE challenge for him, IMHO. The audience got it right and kept the more interesting teams on board.
Heidi,..oh, that’s right. I saw that interview too and forgotten how she is Jennifer’s captain.
Can’t wait to read the cheese cake awards and don’t worry I’ll like them even more if you’re in a bitchy mood
Well, I cant say that I’m shocked that the Hoff is gone. On Youtube, his dance had the least amount of views with only 706! Kyle had the highest amount of views with over 9000. This was just based onCodebear3’s channel alone. Do you think the number of YT views reflects the popularity/votes a contestant receives? I know sometimes it could be one person watching a video over and over again, but what does anyone think about this?
I think the YT views only matter if there are very few compared to the other contestants, like the Hoff’s. Jennifer’s, for example, is well over 200k now on just one account. Bristol has one that’s over 100k – do I think that means she’s going to win? No. I think the really bad dances are likely to get lots of views also. Maybe the Hoff’s problem was indifference.
I re-read what I wrote last night on the Cheesecake Awards and I think “bitchy” might be a bit of an understatement. 🙂
Hahaha! Heidi, you’re like my mom when you’re more than bitchy. And I love it when she gets like that, so I’m excited for the cheesecake awards 🙂
Honey, I ain’t no body’s mom, but I’ll take that as a compliment. 😉
I told ya’ll
@Nathan, maybe because Codebear3 was the first to share Kyle’s dance, I know because I spent a long time searching for the videos on youtube.
Told us what, Carlos? That the Sitch was safe – well, the odds WERE in your favor, since there were 12 people up there. The jury, however, is still out on whether he has a voting fanbase or not.
@Carlos. Tom said that just because Kyle and Lacey were the very last couple called safe doesnt mean they were in the bottom two, The Sitch very well could of been at the bottom-er lol! And since the bottom two was never revealed Kyle and Lacey probly werent in the bottom two ( Dont quote me tho bc idk ). Kyle has a bigger fanbase than people give him credit for, I dont watch disney channel that much ( Or at all anymore ) but i knew really well who Kyle Massy was and i voted for him numerous times, 🙂 You couldnt pay me to vote for The Sitch even tho i like Karina. lol
That is Massey hahaha. 😛
