Goo Goo Dolls and Florence and the Machine – DWTS 2010 Music
An interesting results show. You could see that even the pros dancing together were a bit hampered by the small stage in their performance. It was interesting to have the dancers on platforms. Not something that I want to see every week, but it was a nice change of pace to keep it different.
Here’s the list of special guest performers and their music:
Goo Goo Dolls did a medley of “Iris” / “Not Broken” with Dmitry Chaplin, Jason Glover, Chelsie Hightower, and another guest pro
Florence + The Machine sang “Dog Days Are Over”
Forever Tango also performed.
As a side note, it was fun to see Jason Glover on Dancing with the Stars. With Dmitry, Chelsie and Jason that was 3 So You Think You Can Dance alumni dancing on DWTS at the same time. Sweet!
You’ll always find us listing the latest Dancing with the Stars music. So check back each week.
Actually, Lacey Schwimmer is a SYTYCD alumnist as well, so there were technically 4 SYTYCD alumni on the result show. 🙂
Fangrl,
Of course! I couldn’t forget Lacey. I just didn’t finish typing what I was thinking in my head. I updated the post. I meant 3 on the floor at the same time. Of course, a fourth is cool too.
Although, I must admit that I thought that it was actually Danny from SYTYCD and not Jason when they were first dancing. I’m going to have to watch it again since I was surprised a bit when Tom said it was Jason and not Danny.
No more teeny tiny stages, please. This week was the worst week DWTS has had in a while and it was their own fault. The Goo Goo Dolls performace looked like they were stuck in a corner somewhere. The “intimate” setting maybe worked for the studio audience but not for us watching on TV! Small stage was a very bad idea! “Most Watched Show on TV? ABC/BBC America made sure to do their best to destroy that claim to fame this week!
Thanks John! It was great seeing the Goo Goo Dolls perform again! Wht a show lastnight. I went out for the night and returned home later to watch it after recording it. Tom Begeron was in even rarer form than usual. Some of his cracks had me on the floor.
I loved the small stage, and how creative the dancers were. Wow Fantastic to see all those Tango dancers dancing “salon” style.
I hated the small stage, and the dancers on platforms. It looked like a “Men’s Club”… 🙁
Guest – LOL, that’s what I thought, too, when I saw that. Any minute now, I thought, one of the female pros is going to come out a do a routine on a pole 🙂 🙂
Dancing in a salon in Argentina is in a small space. They dance on the road, in salons, in house ballrooms which are much smaller than that stage. I thought the tango dancers demonstrated it well, what were there 8 couples? Impressive.
Also, that stage was perfect for Derek and Jennifer. I loved it because you could see the dancers from all the angles, and it showed that their encore was actually better than their performance.
I’m craving cheesecake. 🙂
Lola,
You’re not the only one. They’re working on it:-)
Oh no dude I seriously am craving strawberry cheesecake. 😛 YUUUMMM….
Nah. I prefer the original with some hot fudge on it. Yummy!
