DWTS, Season 11 – Bringing Sexy Back Media For Your Sunday
DWTS Question for your Sunday:: In your opinion, who is the “sexiest” female and male dancers this year from the entire cast (celebrity and pro) this year? My picks: Jennifer and Maks (though Derek would get my “most adorable” vote).
Onto our news for your Sunday and special thanks to DWTS fan Carlos, we have news on the entertainment for the Results Show from The Orlando Sentinel.
John Legend and The Roots will team up for two songs on “Dancing With the Stars” next week.
They will perform “Wake Up!” and “Ordinary People” on the results show at 9 p.m. Tuesday on ABC (WFTV-Ch. 9 locally).
Taio Cruz will deliver his hit “Dynamite” on the same show, and piano prodigy Emily Bear, who is 9, will perform as well.
Also, ABC Media reports “Len Goodman, Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice are taking off their shirts” for another round of Dance Center. Get ready for them to “bring their sexy back” ( 😮 Uhhhh, I have a feeling Heidi and Courtney will have more material for their Cheescake Awards.) Here is more on another musical guest and pro dance number.
Also on Tuesday’s show there will be a performance by nine-year-old piano prodigy Emily Bear. A masterful pianist who was recently invited to play at The White House, Bear will perform with the “Dancing with the Stars” orchestra and will be accompanied by young ballroom dance champions Sophia Latessa and Tyler Golman (age 9) and Rickie Taylor and Erik Linder (age 10).
We will also find out who the “Design a Dance” winners are this year and watch them dance. Again, congradulations to Pure DWTS fan Abby for winning the “Dance Concept” part. She will be flying to LA and sitting in the front row. Maybe she will give us a little wave if the camera points her way.
For more rehearsal footage, here is that Access Holllywood Heidi spoke of with Jennifer and Derek. Is it just me or are they more silly than the norm this week in their interviews? They speak on the “Instant Dance” and more.
The friendship continues between Cheryl and Rick. Here they are at the Bowlmor Lanes in Hollywood with two other DWTS alumni.
In case you missed it, here is is a funny interview with Rick and Cheryl on The Jimmy Kimmel Show where they burn Rick’s dancing shoes. lol What a great sport Rick is and I love the points Jimmy made about Bristol. He might have been funning around. But, it’s true too imo.
Here is Maks and Brandy. They are interviewed by Access Hollywood and giving us a hint of their dances for tomorrow night. Maks thinks the “Instant Dance” will hurt the performance level for everyone. I agree. It’s going to be interesting to say the least to see how this dance goes down. I know one thing. No matter who doesn’t do well doing this dance, I’m not going to hold it against them in my votings. Are you?
Lastly, PureDWTS would like to send our congradulations to Karina Smirnoff. People is reporting today that she is officially engaged.
The ballroom beauty is engaged to boyfriend Brad Penny, 32, she told PEOPLE on Saturday, revealing the couple has actually been engaged since Oct. 4!
“We kept it quiet because my family is in New York and Brad’s family is in Oklahoma so we kind of wanted them to come out and celebrate and be a family first before we let the cat out of the bag,” she said.
Smirnoff, 32, showed off her 4.5 carat Asscher Cut diamond engagement ring at Tao Las Vegas’s five-year anniversary party.
The two have yet to start planning the wedding. The proposal, however, took some scheming. Smirnoff calls it “a conspiracy” between Penny and Smirnoff’s manager, who told Smirnoff that the president of Twitter wanted to meet her after a taping of Dancing With the Stars.
“We went to this restaurant and [my manager] got on her phone and said ‘this guy is killing me,’ and got up and walked away, Then Brad walked in and it still didn’t register. He got down on one knee and he opened the box and I said, ‘Thank you’. I honestly didn’t expect it.”
Here is a pic of the two. He is definietly “sexy” imo. 🙂
So, the count down begins. Almost 30 hours away and counting down until showtime. 😀 Special thanks to Heidi for helping with this post.xxx
Heidi ETA: Louis, Kym, Chelsie and Tony are going to be dancing to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on the Disney Christmas Parade
I will go for Cheryl and for Rick
Miss Pompon, my Dad would say the same as you! lol
Two engagements in two years (or so). Impressive! That’s all I’m going to say about that!
I’ll go with Derek and Kym. I would say Anna if she was dancing with Jonathan.
I have to go with Derek and Kym also Meggie. Although Edyta is amazing but she’s not on this season.
I always love the media clips on this site! Thanks for making them so easy to find.
I actually found a video on youtube of some of the pros rehearsing with John Legend. It’s Cheryl, Maks, Tony and Chelsie dancing, although the camera is focused on the muscians. It’s still pretty cool.
Also, ABC.com says design a dance is Nov 16.
I’ll definitely give you a wave and post notes of some cool inside stuff from the show! 🙂 Thanks for the post!
Awesome Abby! Can’t wait!!! 😉 Have fun!!!!xxx
Amy, Abby won the concept and she said she’s going out on Monday – I bet they are pre-taping it to air on the 16th. That would make sense, since they already have so much crap on this Tuesday.
If you want to do a formal write up of your experience, Abby, I can post it as a guest blog. 🙂
For whatever reason they never changed the website but the Design a Dance is airing on the 9th. Right before the final five ideas were put up for voting they called me and said the producers changed the date. I’m not sure how they’re going to fit it all in but we’re doing it on Tuesday! And thanks Heidi, I’ll see if I can throw a blog entry together. 🙂
