Dancing With The Stars 2011 – Saying Good-bye To Chris Jericho (Videos)
It seems every Season I am pleasantly surprised by the celebrity contestants they pick to do the show and how much I end up liking them and Chris Jericho was one of them. I, like many of you have expressed here and at twitter, am sorry to see him go. He took this dancing challenge seriously and with the same fierceness and intensity he did for the wrestling ring. But, most of all, he had such a genuine, fun-loving, light, and refreshing spirit that we all embraced. So, here’s to Chris Jericho!! Below are some videos of he and Cheryl talking about their journey on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America. Such a class act with the loss and just thankful for the experience.
I’m going to miss him. 🙁
Yeah, wow, Donny Osmond was totally right: Chris’ ego is wayyyyy too big. *eye roll* The dude is such a class act (Chris, not Donny) – funny, but at the same time humble & just thankful for the experience. I’m gonna miss the weekly, spot-on Len impersonations. He’s one person I’ll be very happy to see back for one more dance in the finale 🙂
Thought his tweet about his vote totals going up was very interesting indeed. I doubt they reveal the actual vote totals the the contestants, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they softened the blow with “Hey man, it was a REALLY close race…you just barely missed it!” Then again, I have to wonder if that would make me feel better or worse, knowing I had lost by a small margin than a large one. Hmmm.
The beauty of this show is me being able to say that I loved Chris Jericho. There I said it.
Talk about ego, Donnie is so afraid someone else will steal his thunder. His five minutes on the stage. His real name should be Donnie Ego Osmond.
I’m so gonna miss Chris. Definitely one of the delightful surprises of Season 12 for me.
If I were Chris, I’d take comfort in knowing I’d gone down by a narrow margin. It would let me know that a significant portion of the audience appreciated what I’d done.
I didn’t know who Chris was when the season started, glad I know now. Will miss his witty, charming personality and his dancing.
I think that “ego” is a part of the wrestling world. They use the larger than life and inflated egos to stir up the crowd. It is just part of the show for them.
But, I didn’t notice much ego from DWTS that Donny O talked about. I thought he was keeping it in check and being quite the gentleman on the show. That said I agreed with Donny about most of the rest of the stuff he said on GMA.
Re Donny’s ego–I think that it just his “show” and perhaps a bit of a defense against all the BS he has had to put up with in show business. I think most of what he says in that vain is in jest–just my take on it.
