Below she talks to them all about her shoes and how she was inspired to create them. “Comfort” was key without having that ugly “orthopedic” look (I know just what she means, do you? The Multicultural Cooking Network caught up with Tony Dovolani at the 3rd Annual George Lopez Gulf Classic last week. They talk about his favorite foods and dishes. He loves Chocolate…and Sea Bass? Eeek. lol They also talk of his favorite restaurants in the Los Angeles area. They don’t talk of Dancing With The Stars much in this interview, but, when asked, Tony does mention how last season was filled with drama, but, a lot of fun. Tony is such a good guy!!

Well, this guy never sits still, does he?? 🙂 According to the interview he did with Extra’s Teri Seymore on Saturday before the BAFTA’s Brits to Watch Party, he is doing some choreography for a “Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison movie” in August, which he says will be completed before “the show” comes back. I assume he’s talking about DWTS. The movie he’s referring to is, I believe, the anticipated “What to Expect When You’re Expecting“, also starring Jennifer Lopez and Chris Rock. Now, since Derek doesn’t come right out and SAY that’s the movie, I’m guessing. But I think it’s a pretty good guess. 🙂
ETA: According to Mark, Derek will be back on Season 13, but he’s not sure about his own future:
I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)
Hollyscoop has a new interview up with Karina Smirnoff. Karina gives us some hints on her wedding inspirations. She also dishes on her new fitness DVD coming out and Dancing With The Stars. They ask her about the Dina Lohan rumors. Karina says she wouldn’t be surprised if one of the Lohan’s ends up on the show because of how much they make the press. They ask her on some other celebrities too …Queen Latifa, Regis Philbin, and Mike Tyson. Karina pushes for John Stamos, Kelly Ripa, and more as her wishes to do the show. More below.

John: I’m surprised that Wendy didn’t take all of the cake on this one. I think it was my wife that said she looked like a Drag Queen. I couldn’t stop laughing, because she was right.
Courtney: Thank 8 lb 10 oz baby Jesus I wasn’t alone – I was referring to Wendy as “RuPaul’s long-lost twin” all season long 🙂 And apparently we weren’t the only ones thinking that, John – the guys in my office swore up & down she was a man. Everything about Wendy was just too much – the huge wig, the 4 sets of false eyelashes (yes kids, according to Melanie Mills, the head DWTS makeup artist, Wendy would wear FOUR sets at a time!), and those monster boobs…they always looked so angry. I almost think it wasn’t the costumes themselves (ok, maybe the cha-cha one was really & truly BAD) that were so terrible, but just the way she wore them. Just…no. Interestingly enough, I was originally not going to include Mark & Chelsea as nominees for the worst dressed couple…but a certain other blogger convinced me they were contenders 😉 And contenders they were…guess the skulls & chains & weird workout gear & fringe just overshadowed some of Chelsea’s prettier outfits, such as her foxtrot gown (loved it), and cha-cha costume. Rounding out the “other” category: looks like a bunch of you answered with just one name (“Kirstie”, “Hines”, “Maks”), which doesn’t count because I asked which COUPLE was the worst dressed *tosses out those votes*; looks like Kirstie & Maks (5), Hines & Kym (2), Chris & Cheryl (1), none (1), and…hehe…Tom & Brooke (1). Now while I agree that “Broke Burke” had some questionable ensembles this season, The Berg is never anything short of perfection for moi 😉
Marianya: You know what? I don’t remember what Wendy wore… maybe it was so bad that I blocked it out of memory. I just remember that all I saw were boobs, boobs and more boobs… and you know I have big boobs too, but I try to be more subtle about them and use them when absolutely necessary… Wendy’s were just flying all over the place, without any control. I think that’s why I can’t remember what she wore because her assets just trumped them… dressing sexy is good… looking like a drag queen ain’t.
Heidi: Personally, I think Wendy’s attitude made her look worse than she was probably actually dressed. That air of superiority. You know when you meet a hot guy and find out he’s a total jerk and suddenly he doesn’t look that hot to you anymore?? Like that. 🙂
Vogue: The worst dressed? Mark and Chelsea for me. Yes, I was the “certain blogger” (I’m innocent, I’m innocent! lol) who told Courtney to add them to this Poll!! Although I have no issues with Guy Liner, Mark over killed it. I was annoyed with Mark’s hats and black and white SHOES all Season too. The beat all was the work out outfits that didn’t match their dance and TOTALLY GAWDY lights on their shoes, etc. at the end! What the ??? I still can’t get over that. 😯
Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.
