DWTS Season 14 Champ Donald Driver To Thank Fans For Support In Special Wisconsin Broadcast

On Friday there will be a special with Donald Driver and his family broadcasted all over the State of Wisconsin. The Sheboygan Press reports Donald will thank everyone for supporting him on Dancing With The Stars. Below is a take on some of the taping. Be sure to read the link for a two page article about it. You can view a gallery of pictures too. What a class act!! Note how Peta will be a part of the interview as well.

The special is “a real unique way for Donald to be able to thank all the fans and all the supporters statewide,” Lammi said.

During one of the tapings Driver said, “I felt the love from the beginning all the way to the end. The Packer Nation has been behind me for years. They wouldn’t let me down. So I’m glad I was able to bring this back to Wisconsin.”

Driver talked about receiving messages on Twitter from as far away as the United Kingdom and China.

“And I thank Americans,” Driver said. “This wouldn’t have happened without them.”

Hosted by WBAY anchor Cami Rapson and sports director Chris Roth, the special will include show footage, Driver answering questions from Facebook, an interview with Murgatroyd and a segment with Driver’s wife, Betina, and their children, Christian, Christina and Charity.

“We had a lot of fun,” Driver said. “It was a great experience for my wife and kids. We got to meet a lot of people that we probably would have never met in many a year.”

Driver said he’s switching his muscles to football.

“Now I’ve got to get to the physical side,” said the 13-year Packers veteran.

In Los Angeles, Driver said, he put in 12-hour days of exercise, doing workouts in dance and football “kind of hand in hand.”

He’d like to bring home “a couple more Lombardi trophies,” for his home display.

Kym Johnson Dishes On Her Dancing Career, Mr. Right, The DWTS Las Vegas Show, And More!

The Daily Telegraph has a cool article up about Kym Johnson. She discusses how her dancing career began. Did you know that if dancing didn’t turn out, she was going into “hospitality”? Also, Kym use to make extra money decorating dresses when she was 21. Kym also talks a little about her Dancing With The Stars partners and finding Mr. Right someday at the link.

I started ballet lessons when I was three. My brother, Trevor, asked for ballroom lessons because a girl he liked was in the class. I was a ballet snob and didn’t think it was real dancing until I went along and saw how amazing it was. I joined his class at 13 and continued when he stopped.

My parents split up when I was 18. I was going to move to London at the time, but I stayed in Australia to comfort my mum. She said I needed something to fall back on if dance didn’t turn out, so I enrolled in a hospitality course.

I moved to England at 21. I worked in a hotel, took dance classes in the afternoons and decorated dresses at night for extra money. I became really good at it. Most people don’t know we design our own costumes on Dancing with the Stars.

I don’t know why celebrities put themselves through DWTS – it’s hard! When I was asked to audition for the Aussie version, I thought, will Australia go for ballroom dancing? I took the job because it was a chance to settle in Sydney.

I had the best time dancing with [actor] Justin Melvey. We’re still friends. I stayed at his place when I first moved to Hollywood.

Jerry Springer is like a father figure to me. He was my first partner on the US version of DWTS, in 2006. We still keep in touch. Donny Osmond, whom I won with, was adorable.

David Arquette is a great guy, but he’s a worrier. When we were dance partners last year, he was very open about the tough time he had during his split from Courteney Cox.

Also, Kym was a guest on The Morning Blend in Las Vegas Friday to promote her dancing at the Tropicana Dancing With The Stars Live show. You can view the interview HERE. She talks about dancing with Carson Kressley and how he leads her. LOL! She has some thoughts about Season 14 and the finals. They also show a recent interview with Jerry Springer who shared some words on Kym. Love this…a must see if you are a fan to Kym!

Julianne Hough Discusses A Return To The Dancing With The Stars All Star Season

Several of you have mentioned in the comments section how Julianne Hough talked about the upcoming All-Star season on Dancing With The Stars in a new Access Hollywood interview she did before attending the American Idol Finale. You can watch it above. Julianne mentions Helio Castroneves and Apolo Ohno and how much she owes them for starting her career. If either of them asked her to dance, it would be the “hardest decision of her life” to make. “We’ll see,” she says. They also discuss the idea of a “rotation in partners” which I’m not sure I’d like. What do you think? Anyway, bring Helio or Apolo back with Julianne. Can you imagine how cool that would be?!!

Dancing Pro Mark Ballas To Work With Timbaland, Bangladesh And The Beamer Boyz

Mark wrote his last blog for the season at USA Today. He talks of how proud he is of taking an “unknown” to the finals and how thankful he is for all the fan support for he and Katherine Jenkins. They had a great time in New York City making the press rounds after the show. He also took some time to celebrate his birthday and spend time with his mom Shirley Ballas (pictured above). You can read on Mark’s summer plans below of working on a new album and working with music moguls and producers like Timbaland, Bangladesh, and the Beamer Boyz. He hopes to be back for the All-Star season of Dancing With The Stars.

This summer, I will be working on a new album. I recently signed to BMG as a writer/artist and will be working with some amazing producers like Timbaland, Bangladesh and the Beamer Boyz. I’m really looking forward to resting my body for a little and focusing on music and other things. Make sure to keep up with me on twitter @markballas for more updates during the break.

Until then, this wild animal is going to take a break and hopefully they will let me back out of my cage for DWTS’ All-Stars season! Hope to see you there!

Be sure to read more at USA Today if interested. Picture courtesy of Zimbio Pictures.
