Dancing With The Stars All Stars Details And Entertainment For Week 3, After Party Info

ABC MediaNet has released a press release detailing next week’s shows on Dancing With The Stars. Note how there will be an “exclusive encore” and “behind the scenes” footage from Monday night’s iconic dance night before the Results show. On tap to perform on the Results show is the group “Karmin”. Frankie Moreno will also perform with the troupe, Lacey Schwimmer, and…drum rolls….Kyle Massey. More details listed below and at the link.

“Episode 1503 & 1503A” – It’s “Iconic Dance Night” and the couples have been challenged by Judge Len Goodman to deliver show-stopping routines that the series has never seen before. The 11 remaining celebrities have chosen an iconic “DWTS” dance to reinterpret, MONDAY, OCTOBER 8 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. For the first time ever, the celebrities have taken charge of the creative direction of the routine, given the responsibility for all artistic decisions relating to the performance.

In a one-hour special, “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars – An Exclusive Encore,” we will recap Monday night’s stellar performances as well as include new, exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen interviews , TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). Following the special, on “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars — The Results Show” (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), the couples face a double elimination and Karmin perform “Hello” and their irresistibly addictive single, “Brokenhearted,” from their debut album “Hello,” out now. Last year Karmin captured the attention of music lovers worldwide when they posted a cover of Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now.” The clip went viral, becoming one of YouTube’s most viewed videos; since then they’ve racked up about a half billion views for all of their videos online. The duo released their first album, “Hello,” earlier this year, shortly after their television debut on “Saturday Night Live.” Amy and Nick spent the earlier part of the summer touring around the country and headlining festivals, including a performance for a crowd of more than 100,000 in San Francisco last month. Also performing Tuesday night is musician Frankie Moreno with a medley of “Tangerine Honey” and “Real Wild Child,” accompanied by Troupe members Lacey Schwimmer and Kyle Massey.

Also during Tuesday night’s results show, we will have the season’s first “AT& T Spotlight Performance,” featuring Joshua Johnson. Joshua, an ambitious young man from New York City, had always dreamt of going to college. But when his acceptance letter came from Penn State University, he realized he was never going to be able to afford it. His mother had lost her job years before and they had been living in shelters ever since. Josh decided he would raise the money he needed by tap dancing on the subway. He danced for hours, holding out his hat for donations. Eventually, he collected enough money to cover his freshman year of college. But to pay for future years, Josh would take a five-hour bus ride to New York every weekend and raise more money by tap dancing on the subway. Currently in his junior year at Penn State, he still travels to New York every weekend with the hope of raising enough money to get him through to graduation. Tuesday night, the ballroom welcomes Joshua and eight other dancers who will be dancing in a powerful piece by renowned choreographer JT Horenstein. The performance will be beautiful tribute to the people of New York, as Josh knows that without them he wouldn’t be in college.

Also, don’t miss watching the Dancing With The Stars After Party after the show on Monday night. According to Grinya Talent Agency, Anna Garnis will join the panel to critique the dances and the show. You can follow Anna on twitter at @AnyaGarnisLA. In telling you a little about Anya. She has performed in some of the results shows on Dancing With The Stars (beautiful flash back performance below). She’s also a dancer on So You Think You Can Dance. You can read more on her ballroom career here.

Melissa Rycroft On Keeping The Choreography Fresh And More On Dancing With The Stars

Melissa Rycroft tells Talk TV World that it “felt good” getting a shot at redemption with her Jive this past week on Dancing With The Stars. She talks of how lucky she is to be paired with Tony again too.

On your original season of Dancing With the Stars, you were injured right before your live performance of the Jive, forcing the judges to score you on your taped rehearsal footage. What was it like to get a shot at redemption this week?

It felt good. You definitely felt redemption, but you also felt pressure because people hadn’t seen it and you really needed to come out and wow them with a performance. So I’m pleased with how we did, but to be honest, I’m just happy that it’s over with because I feel like that’s probably my weakest dance in all of the dancing line-up. So to get that one out of the way and to have made it on to week 3 just feels really good.

You were lucky enough to remain with your original partner Tony, while some of the other competitiors had to work with a new partner. Do you feel that’s an advantage?

To be honest, I feel like the only real advantage was on Day One of practicing, that we came in and we knew each other. You know we had an instant relationship. But I think the struggle that all of the returning couples have is that you have to keep the choreography that much more fresh. For example, the audience has already seen Melissa and Tony do a Fox Trot, so when we had the Fox Trot for Week One we had to make it so much different from what people have already seen.

More at Talk TV World.

I’m just loving these two. Let’s hope they keep coming on strong and same with a push in promo every week. Every week is vital!

UPDATE: You can watch a new rehearsal video witth Tony and Melissa at People.com. Melissa talks of getting into dancing shape after having a baby. Then they discuss the double elimination and give some teasers on their iconic dance for Monday night. They are doing a Samba with tricks that have never been on the show before. They say there will be a “wow” moment at the end. Cool, I can’t wait to see.

UPDATE 2: You can watch Melissa answering twitter questions at Dancing With The Stars facebook here. I’m loving all of the promos for Melissa and Tony this season.

Interviews With DWTS Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd On Upcoming Tango and More

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd were on Good day LA yesterday! They set us up for the Tango they are doing this upcoming week on Dancing With The Stars. Gilles weak spot is his frame and Peta corrects him on it if he breaks it. They love the Tango and Gilles really wants to make it a “spectacle”. Peta comments on how they were going to have a 10 hour day of practice after the interview and she’s not planning to let him get away with anything. Good job Peta! Keep cracking that whip. I love how she is a perfectionist.

Los Angeles Local News, Weather, and Traffic

In the interview below with Hollyscoop and the Just Dance 4 event this week, Gilles talks of the differences between dancing now versus the first time he danced on Dancing With The Stars. He says it’s “more cut throat” and he “can not make any mistakes”. His injury has been “difficult”, but, he’s “not going to complain. He’s here to entertain.”

ADDING: Peta gave The Deadbolt an exclusive interview. Below is a take where she answers questions about being at the top of the scoreboard, the intensity of the season, and what has surprised her the most about Gilles!

THE DEADBOLT: How does it feel to be at the top of the scoreboard this season?

PETA MURGATROYD: Well, we’re half a point away from the top. I actually like coming a little bit in second. I don’t want to be on top just yet because you become a target and you’ve got nowhere to go but down. So I believe that growing through the competition is excellent. I’m happy with that and very happy with Gilles.

THE DEADBOLT: Is it as tough as you thought it would be?

MURGATROYD: It’s tougher to be honest. I didn’t think it would be this intense and this competitive. But it’s very competitive. Everyone really wants to win. So, I’m just taking it step-by-step and week-by-week and hopefully Gilles and I will be in the final.

THE DEADBOLT: What surprised you most about Gilles as a dancer?

MURGATROYD: That he can’t look bad doing anything! I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look terrible or look really awkward. He’s just naturally talented and I’m very grateful for that.

Be sure to read the interview in full here.
