DWTS Tony Dovolani Talks About Landslide Victory, Wants Paula Abdul As A Judge, and More (Video)

Wendy Williams praised Tony Dovolani for how good he looks on her show. He says he owes it all to the Dancing With The Stars finals. He thanks Wendy for all of her support. They run through how he and Melissa approached the show. He also mentions how he and Melissa won by a landslide of votes (really? I have a hard time believing that! Then again, there were a lot of voting issues with the official site and phones that could have played a part from what Derek Hough fans have said when they tried to vote.). They also discuss the judges and needing a shake up. Tony would like to have Paula Abdul be a judge. Lots more below….

Dancing With The Stars Kym Johnson Pictured Going To Jonas Brothers Concert

Oh, I love what Kym is wearing, do you? Last night, she was “all smiles” as she headed to the Pantages theatre in Hollywood to see the Jonas Brothers live in concert. Chelsie Kane was there as well. You can see more fun photos at Zimbio Pictures.

Side note: How I wish one of the Jonas Brothers would dance on Dancing With The Stars! Below is an interview from last May when they addressed the idea a little….

DWTS Karina Smirnoff Dazzles In Lace At OUT Magazine and Buick Celebration

Check out Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff as last night she was seen at OUT Magazine and Buick’s celebration of The OUT100 in New York City. I think I love posting picture posts the most at PureDWTS. Can you see why as Karina and this dark purple lace dress is out of this world in my opinion. What do you think? Be sure to see Zimbio Pictures for even more photos. @Jimmbboe is going to love this post too I have a feeling? 😀

General Hospital Preview With Val Chmerkovskiy, Talks Of New Reality Show With Brother Maks (Videos)

“Were they or weren’t they”? That’s the question Wendy Williams asks the audience as Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy sat down to be interviewed on the Wendy Show today. Then she asks Val about the current idea of Maks and Val starting a new reality show. Val says they are currently still thinking the idea over and “they definitely want to do it”. More below including Kelly talking a little about General Hospital.

Speaking of, George Pennacchio of ABC7 in Los Angeles did a nice little spread on Val and his guest role coming up on General Hospital. The video below gives a little preview of Val in action on the set. Don’t forget, you’ll be able to watch his appearance on General Hospital on December 10th.

ADDING: Kelly and Val were also interviewed by VH1….

Maks Chmerkovskiy Attends AOL New National Video Open Call Event In New York City

What is Maks Chmerkovskiy up to now? Yesterday, the Dancing With The Stars pro attended AOL New National Video Open Call event in New York City!! We’re not sure who the ladies are, but, it looks like he had a great time. You can see more pics of Maks in fine form at Film Magic.

ADDING: New York Live also interviewed Maks. He talks about the AOL New National Video Open Call, this past season of Dancing With The Stars, his brother Val, and Hurricane Sandy. Thanks to @DWTSMaksimFans for the heads up.

Vote for Your Favorites in the PureDWTS All-Stars End-of-Season Awards!!!

It’s that time of the season again – time to wrap up the season by voting in our end-of-season awards 🙂

First, some guidelines: I picked what I thought to be the most likely nominees for each category, just based on the vibes I’ve been getting from your comments all season.  I know some of you are going to disagree.  For that reason, I have allowed write-in votes…probably against my better judgement.  HOWEVER, I’m asking you guys to PLEASE USE THE WRITE-INS SPARINGLY.  Make sure the nominee you’re writing in isn’t already listed as one of the options, make sure it’s spelled correctly, and fits the scheme of the other nominees (i.e. if the category is “best dance”, you would write in something like “Kelly & Val’s paso doble”, and not just “Kelly”).  If I cannot understand what you’ve written in, your vote is getting thrown out.  If your write-in doesn’t make sense given the context, your vote is getting thrown out.  There was an absolutely ridiculous (and unneccessary) number of write-ins in last season’s awards, and I almost said “f*ck it” and threw them all out, because some of you guys clearly didn’t know how to follow directions.  Don’t bring me to the point of “f*ck it” again this season.

I will give you guys a week or two to get your votes in, and then we will reveal the results category by category in a series of posts.  I’ve included a brief explanation of each award above each poll, since there seemed to be some confusion in last season’s polls. Now vote away!!! Read more..

Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.

Ann Romney Doesn’t Rule Out Dancing With The Stars

Did any of you notice Anne Romney sitting in the audience this past week on Dancing With The Stars? I didn’t, but, according to the Boston Herald, she was in the audience with her two sons, wives, and a few grandkids. Apparently someone asked her is she would dance on Dancing With The Stars. Below is how she answered…

She won’t be tripping the light fantastic at any inaugural balls, but “Dancing with the Stars” fan Ann Romney said it’s not impossible that a Romney might some day hoof it for the mirror ball trophy on the hot ABC dance contest!

“But I … I don’t think so,” laughed Mrs. Mitt.

You can read more at the Boston Herald including her thoughts on Tony Dovolani. You can also see a picture of Ann in the audience.

My thoughts? The Boston Herald says to file it under “Dancing Queen”, but, I just don’t know? 😯 Heidi?

Heidi: I saw her in the audience but thought I was mistaken.  Eh. Better her than Sarah Palin. That said, she doesn’t have the cache that a Sarah Palin does. If she doesn’t do it this spring, I think she can forget about it – if they would even ask her then.

The Dancing With The Stars Season 15 Finalists Light Up The View And New York City

After doing Good Morning America yesterday, our three finalists headed to The View where they were interviewed about their unions and journey on Dancing With The Stars. They also danced and brought the house down. Below is Val and Kelly dancing their Paso Doble. You can watch more in the full episode at The View’s official website.

You can also see loads of pics of them while in New York City yesterday at Zimbio Pictures and Getty Images. The Daily Mail has some fun street shots too.

New Casting Watchout Begins: Tori Spelling A Little Nervous To Do Dancing With The Stars

And so the casting watch out for the new season of Dancing With The Stars begins! Already? Yes, already! 🙂 Though don’t count on Tori Spelling being cast in the next new season of Dancing With The Stars. According to Zap2it, she used to say “maybe” to dancing on the show, but, now she’s “a little nervous”. Read why below….

“I used to say, ‘Maybe,'” Spelling tells Zap2it, “but it’s gotten so crazy-competitive and so amazing. The people who are doing it aren’t like celebrities trying it, they’re like dancers. I mean, they have Olympians on there who excel in gymnastics. And look at [‘All-Stars’ winner] Melissa Rycroft — she was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, so obviously, she’s going to be a good dancer.

“I think it would be embarrassing now to just have actors with no dancing experience,” Spelling adds. “I find myself to be a good dancer, but I don’t know that I’m of that caliber. I think I’d be a little nervous to compete.”

You can read more at Zap2it. I’m kind of glad she might not dance. Then again, you never know how someone might change your opinion. I’ll never forget how I (and many of you too!) felt upon hearing the news Nancy Grace would be dancing on Dancing With The Stars in Season 13. She quickly changed many of us around.

Heidi: Then Nancy went back to her usual job and turned many of us (like me) back to our original opinion. And you don’t want to know if you’re a fan. 🙂  Tori on the other hand, would probably be fine. She doesn’t bother me in the slightest. But she’s right – DWTS isn’t for the faint of heart. 🙂
