DWTS Judge Len Goodman Grateful For His New Wife And Dancing Career
In his first interview since getting married, Dancing With The Stars and Strictly Come Dancing judge, Len Goodman, talks about his wedding to Sue Barrett. He’s still basking in the honeymoon period. Check it out below as well as how thankful he is for his dancing and judging career. He’s a happier Len!
They may have been together for 10 years, but Len is still basking in the honeymoon period. He talks like a teenager with his first crush as he describes his new wife.
“You don’t know Sue, she is the best girl in the world,” he beams.
“I swear to you, she is the kindest, most generous, thoughtful person.
“I tell you what, I am so lucky, she is just marvellous. I’m 68 – I know what’s what. I am telling you this girl Sue is brilliant.
“All my life I have been lucky. I was 21 and one of my mates used to go dancing. He told me to go because there were loads of girls. And I was lucky that I did – I’d never have gone ballroom dancing otherwise.
“I was lucky that I ended up dancing with the owner’s daughter and we got together and won competitions.
“I was 60 years-old running a little dance school, semi-retired and suddenly I get the call to go for an interview for Strictly Come Dancing.
“Loads of people went but fortunately I was the one they asked to do it.
“I was lucky to get Dancing With The Stars. They actually wanted Bruno not me.
They thought I was too old but they couldn’t find anyone else. I was like a last-minute replacement. But meeting Sue was the luckiest moment of all.”
He may be older than the other judges, but, his take and wanting to stick to traditional rules mixes up these shows even though sometimes I get really annoyed if he goes overboard and then I want him replaced. lol.
