Where do we start today? How about if we knock on @Jimmbboe’s door, ….but, just a little. 😉

"Dance is the hidden language of the soul" ~ Martha Graham. That's what DWTS makes me think of every Monday night. To read more about me and my other interests, see Lisa Kay Photography. You can also follow me at Voguerista Twitter & Voguerista Soundcloud.
Karina has done wonders with Jacoby, his inteviewing skills have improved dramatically, and these lessons could definitely help his professional life moving forward.
My only complaint is…. I have trouble understanding him at times. My ears aren’t what they used to be. 🙂
“The uploader has not made this video available in your country” 🙁
Awww, sorry to hear that jimmbboe. Does it ease the pain at all that Karina never appears in the video? It’s just Jacoby standing in front of the camera answering a couple of tweeted questions.
@Sandy
Have you listened to Jacoby’s interviews before DWTS? I do think Karina works her magic but not to the extent you are implying. Some of it (at least some of it) is just Jacoby being himself.
I’ve read this comment about Karina dramatically changing him a few times from different posters and it’s bugging me because it sounds like he Karina’s project and not his own person.
Dang, sorry Jim. Can you write to that one source you sent me and see if they will upload it? Let us know if they do.
@sasa – Jacoby like Donald and Hines, were NFL players that I had never heard of before DWTS, so FIRST impressions were everything, and his weren’t so great, and his behavior and antics after his first dance were bizarre. Since then though, I find him tolerable, so in my eyes, Karina has worked some magic on him for sure.
Vogue, I tweeted you the link. Totally had to lol when he said Karina is “vertically challenged” 🙂
Got it and added! Thank you so much!!! I laughed at that part too!!!
@ Sasa I agree with you and Vogue thank you for this and I know some people have commented that they find Jacoby Jones a bit cocky and can’t warm up to him. I apologize if you have already done so and I missed it, but I would ask everyone to watch Jacoby when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live after the Super Bowl. I admit I had never heard of him before the Super Bowl and when I happened to watch him on Jimmy, he is the last person I would ever call cocky. He was hilarious and humble. If I knew how to put a link to the interview I would because I think people would see a whole different side of him. He sounds like a wonderful young man and his momma (as he calls her) sounds like a sweetheart as well. During the interview you hear how she cooked 150 plates of food for the entire team which included her famous gumbo, macaroni and cheese with 7 cheeses, and potato salad. You can hear the love he has for his momma.
He also talked how he would practice his touchdown dances in front of his team and then later in front of a mirror. When Jimmy said he deserved the MVP of the game Jacoby talked about why he didn’t and why Joe Flacco deserved the honor of Superbowl XLVII MVP. He was very humble and the complete opposite of cocky.
When Jimmy asked him if he would consider doing DWTS his answer was “Do polar bears poo on ice?” I guess right after the show he was offered a place on the show.
I just liked Jacoby so much when I saw him on Jimmy and I love Karina and she seems so happy and I think that is the Jacoby she has seen. I don’t know think Karina had to work any magic because I really mean it when I say for anyone who can’t warm up to Jacoby to watch the videos of him on Jimmy and you just may change your mind. jmho
Here ya go, Gail. You can see Jacoby on JK at this link when he was first rumored to dance….

I like him too. At first, I thought he seemed cocky, but, now realize it’s part of his sense of humor and he likes to talk smack. I also think Karina has tamed him too.
Thanks Vogue and sorry I missed it the first time. There was an earlier segment which was the other part I mentioned in my earlier post when Jimmy said he thought Jacoby should have won the MVP and that showed the humble side of Jacoby with his answer that Joe Flacco really did deserve it and why.
I know we get to see what the show gives us for edits as far as their packages at rehearsals and thought it was better this time with the little kids. I admit if I had not seen him on Jimmy I might get the impression he was cocky when talking with the judges, but it is his sense of humor and as you mentioned he likes to talk smack, but for me I really do like him and I think Karina is the perfect partner for him. I really hope that more people warm up to him.
I look forward to watching him dance this next week. For me he and Kellie are my favorites at this point. Nothing against Zandaya or Aly because they are great. I guess I just expect Zandaya to be great because she has the most true dance experience as well as being 16 years old. Aly’s personality has not wowed me and so far I don’t think Mark has given her outstanding choreography. I love Andy and Sharna, but not sure if they will be their at the end. Who knows though because things can change on a dime.
Thanks again Vogue. You are so sweet!!! 🙂
Thanks for the video, Jimbboe and Vogue!
Gail, I think you might have to accept that some folks find Jacoby’s personality grating (whether they call it arrogance, cockiness, or whatever). All of the celebs and pros have their supporters and they also have people who can’t warm up to them. Trying to get people to change their minds could have the effect of driving them further away.
If Karina said something to Jacoby about how to present himself on the show and he modified his style based on that, I say good for him. It shows he has good sense and is able to take and act on constructive criticism.
Jacoby’s personality doesn’t bother me, but he still has to convince me he can dance as part of a couple rather than just as two people doing side-by-side solos on the dance floor. He and Karina seem to have chemistry off the floor, but I want to see a connection between them when they’re dancing, and I haven’t seen that yet.
@Cidra Sorry if you took it that way. Just stating my opinion of him and saying I hope people warm up to him. I had missed Vogue’s original Jimmy Kimmel video so had no idea if people had seen it or not. Jimmy’s show was before Karina and before DWTS started. JMO, but thought he did great on Jimmy’s show.
When he first appeared on DWTS I thought he came across different than that particular first impression I had of him. As you said cocky, or arrogant (whatever people prefer). If Karina said something to him and he has since acted better on the show and learned from it I agree it is a good thing. I already said I love Karina and think she is the perfect partner for him.
My comments are just my opinion and not meant to change anyone’s mind. I think I just said I hope people warm up to him. If they do, they do and if not I understand everyone have different favorites. As of Week 2 I have my favorites and also said things can change on a dime. I could have completely different favorites later.
So far both of Jacoby and Karina’s routines just made me smile and for me were fun and again jmo. I felt the same with Andy and Sharna’s this week. Another fun routine that made me smile and made me appreciate Sharna for being the perfect partner for Andy. I was proud of what Andy did. Kellie and Derek’s routine for me was fabulous and yet another style of jazz. It mesmorized me. I didn’t know what to expect this past week and again jmo I was most impressed by the dances that I expected the least from.
I agree we haven’t seen Jacoby and Karina dance in hold yet and that is what I am looking forward to. I have no idea how he will do.
Again, all of this is just my opinion only and not meant to change people’s minds. If it came across that way again I apologize as that was not my intent.
Gail, absolutely no need to apologize 🙂 When I read your comment it just sounded like you were campaigning for Jacoby, and that usually doesn’t turn out well. I apologize for misinterpreting what you wrote.
@Cidra no problem – all is good. 🙂
@Gail Yay! I love a happy ending 😛
I’m sure most fans who post here don’t watch sports shows, but Jacoby has become a favorite guest on NFL AM, a morning talk show on the NFL Network, mostly due to his sense of humor. Anyhow, now that he’s in LA doing DWTS they will have him in the studio more often for interviews.
Here’s a short video of Jacoby and his mom on NFL AM last week in which they talk about the MVP award that Gail described above.
