Gleb Savchenko And Lisa Vanderpump Laughing And Having Fun On Dancing With The Stars

The Huffington Post has a cute interview up with Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko. They talk all about their partnership and chemistry on Dancing With The Stars. I love how they both reacted to this question. Hilarious!

For both of you, which dance are you most looking forward to?
Gleb: “I’m looking forward to all of the sexy dances.”
Lisa: “Oh for God’s sake. Here we go! Don’t even get him started!”
Gleb: [Laughs.]
Lisa: “The sexier it is, the happier he is.”
Gleb: “Exactly.”
Lisa: “And the more I’m like, ‘Oh my goodness.'”

This part is good too where Gleb talks about being a new Pro and what are their most challenging parts about dancing together.

Gleb, you’re the new male pro. Was it nice to be new together?
Gleb: “Well, I think for Lisa it was a double stress. I’m a new guy on the show and she’s never seen me performing and dancing, my choreography or anything. For me, I think of course it has been stressful, but also exciting and I have a lot of pressure. I have to work double hard to prove to everybody else that I’m actually worth it, you know what I mean? I don’t have a fanbase. When I started the show, I had like 243 followers on Twitter. Now I went up to 6,000, but it’s not enough. Other people like Cheryl [Burke], Karina [Smirnoff] and Val [Chmerkovskiy], they have like 300,000, 400,000 followers. For us, it’s really hard. I think it’s one of the reasons. People don’t really vote because they don’t really know me. That’s why we were in the bottom as well.

What’s been the most challenging part so far?
Lisa: “For me, I think obviously, the time constraint. I run my businesses and do my other show, ‘Vanderpump Rules’ and a lot of other things going on. I have another restaurant in development, so yeah, that’s hard for me. Yesterday, my day started at 3 a.m. and tomorrow it will start at 3:30 a.m. That’s hard for me, especially because I have nighttime businesses.”

Gleb: “The most challenging I think is … ”

Lisa: “Dancing with an idiot?”

Gleb: [Laughs.] “We have a good time. We laugh all the time. We only had like two weeks preparation before we started, right? So we’re just having a good time and starting to get to know each other. Lisa has a great sense of humor, but at the same time, it’s hard work. You have to put the choreography together and perform at the end of the day. You have to think about that as well. Sometimes I have to be very strict with her — that’s the most challenging part because we laugh and then I have to be very strict. That doesn’t go together. That’s the most difficult part. Plus, as Lisa already said, she’s very busy with work — we don’t have as much time as the other dancers and celebrities have. We have like maybe three to four hours a day in which we can really concentrate and work hard. We don’t have time to sit down and have a cup of tea or something like that. That’s the part of the process that’s the most challenging, I think.”

More at the Huffington Post. Also, HitFix has a fun interview with them too. Below is a little take. You know where to go for more. Lisa has such a wicked sense of humor!!

What hasn’t worked, at least initially, for Vanderpump was the physical closeness ballroom dance required. “That is kind of strange at first,” Vanderpump admitted.

“She’s getting used to it, though. She comes to rehearsal now and says I want to do a little bit of that this week,” Savchenko said.

“He’s actually laying on top of me right now,” Vanderpump joked. “Get off of me, come on now!”

But Savchenko explained that, even though his emphasis is on Latin dance, it’s not the only style that requires dancers to get up close and personal. “In all of ballroom dancing, you have to have close contact to create that proper shape. In the Viennese waltz, what we’re doing this week, we don’t have that much contact, which I actually really miss.”

“I’m just trying to get through this,” Vanderpump countered. “I mean, my God, the first week it was, connect your groins!”

I hope these two do well next week. I’ve loved their dancing and Lisa is better than she realizes!

Demi Lovato To Perform On Dancing With The Stars Next Week, Returning To XFactor

According to MTV, singer Demi Lovato will be performing on Dancing With The Stars next week. For those interested, she’s also returning to the X Factor next season (yikes, I was kind of hoping she wouldn’t be returning. I like her music, but, not her as a judge). Below is more…

Demi Lovato might be giving your heart a break, but she has no plans to take a break from “The X Factor.” On Thursday (March 28), Simon Cowell confirmed that the singer will be back for the third season of the Fox reality show, marking her second season on the series.

“I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying — I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists,” he said in a statement, Deadline reports. “I’m especially pleased she’s back even during her world tour!”

In addition to her world tour and returning to the show, Lovato is slated to release a new studio album later this year, already filming a music video for lead single”Heart Attack.” She will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “Dancing With the Stars” next week (Monday and Tuesday, respectively) to perform the tune on TV for the first time.

Lisa Vanderpump Chats With Life And Style Magazine About DWTS Partner Gleb Savchenko And More

Be sure to pick up a copy of Life & Style Magazine this week! In the new issue, Lisa Vanderpump talks all about her hunky partner Gleb Savchenko and husband Ken. Below is a fun take, but, don’t miss seeing the link to read more and see a really cute picture of them too!

“I hope Ken gets jealous!” the reality star, 52, tells Life & Style, on newsstands now. And Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, 67, may have good reason to feel green with envy. “Sometimes, I feel like it’s almost being unfaithful,” Lisa admits about her stint on DWTS before adding: “I’m happy to be as unfaithful as it takes to make a good dance.”

Lisa gushes to Life & Style about the bod on her 29-year-old Russian-born co-star: “I can’t stop staring. He’s a perfect specimen!”

The two spend six hours a day rehearsing, so the RHOBH regular is getting plenty of up-close-and-personal time with Gleb. “It’s so intimate,” Lisa reveals to Life & Style. “I had a hard time of it at first — I was very uncomfortable. But I’m glad Gleb is so gorgeous — it does make it easier.”

At the end of the day, Lisa insists that Ken has nothing to worry about. “Gleb flirts so much, but I’m old enough to be his mother!” she jokes. “I love and respect Ken.

I love how they are practicing 6 hours a day! Go get ’em Lisa and Gleb! You can do it.

Victor Ortiz Discusses His New Cologne And Goals For Next Week On Dancing With The Stars

Victor Ortiz tells the LA Times that he really wants make Lindsay proud and improve this coming week. He only has one thing on his mind and that is ….”Victory”!

Q. “Vicious” showed up in the rehearsal studio for a moment, but Lindsay stood her ground. Would she be your toughest opponent?

Lindsay is amazing, and it’s hard to think of what she would be like as an opponent. We work together so I could never see her that way objectively speaking. She’s my partner, my coach, my everything right now … she’s a great teacher. We all go through bursts of emotions in stressful situations that you look back and laugh at — that was me frustrated with myself, I really want to make Lindsay proud, especially. This week there is one thing on my mind: victory.

Q. You’re used to competing against someone in the ring, now you are competing with someone (Lindsay) on the dance floor. What kind of mental adjustment does that take?

She’s my “trainer.” We are on the same team, and I have a huge amount of respect for her. The mental adjustment is remembering all the steps and the music counts, learning so much at such a fast pace. But I’m grateful to be here and have the challenge, because it’s definitely challenging!

I think it’s really key he (and D.L.!) make a really strong showing this week or he could be in trouble. We will see? More at the LA Times including some promo for his new cologne.

Aly Raisman And Mark Ballas To Dance A Viennese Waltz And Hints For Prom Week

Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas have the Viennese Waltz for Prom week on Dancing With The Stars!! In a new blog with Parade, Aly she writes of what her Senior Prom was like and how she wore a chocolate brown dress. Is this a hint of what’s tome come? Here is more….

Next Monday, we’re dancing the Viennese Waltz, and I have no idea what it is, so I guess I’ll find out today in rehearsals! The theme is prom night, which I’m excited about. We had a meeting with wardrobe about costumes, but it’s too soon to know what we’re wearing. I always like to help pick it out, but Mark and wardrobe have more of a say because they know what goes best with each dance.

I took my senior year off from high school to train for the Olympics, but I still got to go to my prom. I didn’t get to graduate with my classmates, I had to graduate early, but my prom was fun. It was just a way for me to be able to see my school friends because my social life was kind of on a hold last year because I was so focused on training for the Olympics. Going to prom was a way for me to have a break and a little bit of fun in between working out.

I wore a chocolate brown dress that had cap sleeves and some bronze-gold beading at the top. It was really simple. I loved it. I really like simple and elegant looks. That’s my thing. I do love hot pink, but for me, it’s more of a color for performing. I don’t have too many hot pink dresses, so I should probably get on that!

Mark is really sweet and funny — definitely the perfect prom date! He never got to go to prom because they don’t have prom in London [Mark moved to London as a child, where he attended the world-renowned Italia Conti Performing Arts School]. Hopefully this night will be very special for him!

You can read the full blog at Parade including Aly’s thoughts on Dorothy’s departure and more.
