Tony Dovolani Interviews The Dancing With The Stars Cast In Rehearsals
Tony Dovolani interviewed Peta Murgatroyd about ex-boyfriend and Dancing With The Stars pro Maks Chmerkovskiy who is returning to the show tonight for a special appearance. It might surprise many that they are still friends. Of Maks coming back, Peta said, “I think it’s really exciting. I’m glad he’s coming back. We’re still friends, we still talk. I’m happy, he’s happy. It’s a win-win situation.” Sean talks about his fiancé as well. Derek and Kellie are interviewed as well as Andy and Sharna. Details below in this new Dancing With The Stars rehearsal interview from Extra….
Great video! Thanks Vogue! I just about pulled something myself while watching Tony and Andy! ROTFL!!!
LOL!! Tony and Andy were hysterical.
We should keep in mind that the media loves to perpetuate drama. These things don’t happen in a vacuum; time actually passes between seasons. A long time ago, Lacey and Cheryl were furious with Louis V.A. over comments he made about their bodies. The next season (several months later) they were asked about it again and were stunned that the narrative was that they were still angry. They had talked about it and it was long gone. Obviously Peta and Maks split: just as obviously, what was reported about it wasn’t what actually happened. It *never is.*
The idea that two people can’t patch things up between themselves over a period of many weeks is just absurd, a product of the pointless, self-centered belief that we have some sort of deep understanding of these peoples’ personal lives, that they aren’t allowed to develop or move past stuff outside of the public eye.
Reality TV culture is making solipsists of us all.
(Also, may God watch over the victims of the Boston bombings today. What a pointless tragedy.)
Sure people can patch things up, Steve, and most mature adults do just that. But this is MAKS we’re talking about. Mature, adult and Maks don’t really all fit in the same sentence together. 🙂
And really, what is Peta going to say? I hate that he’s coming back because he dumped me and I still wanted to be with him?
Poor d. l.. what could you expect from him with the tango music he had to dance to? even i would have stomped to that one! from allen darnel, ballroom dance teacher for 55 years.
oh i like Tony the interviewer. give him a full time job. he is good.
LOL Tony and Andy!
Tony really should just hang up his dancing shoes and go into broadcasting full-time already. He appears to enjoy doing interviews. Donna, you have a point about Peta, but I think Tony was not only “talking up” the fact Maks is coming back, but possibly trying to give Peta a chance to “save face” and not look like the pathetic, dumped “girlfriend”, which is a little too late IMO.
