PureDWTS Guest Poems For The Dancing With The Stars Season 17 Finale Shows

Lois is back with not one, but, TWO poems in wrapping up Dancing With The Stars Season 17. She includes a “thank you” for reading her work as well. Enjoy and THANKS LOIS!

A SEASON 17 SHOW-STOPPING FOUR-STAR REVUE!
Four stars dancing for the Mirror Ball Trophy in full view

Rise and Shine dancing stars, it is your time in the sun
A sensational opening number and the show has begun

Three dances were performed to oohs and aahs galore
The much-awaited freestyles burning up the dance floor

The judges chose dances for a rousing, riveting encore
The dancing couples took their best turns once more

Jack and Cheryl, to a jovial, jaunty, jazzical, joyful Jive
Corbin, Karina, Quickstepped a dapper Dixieland vibe

Amber, Derek to Charleston chipper, charming, cheerful
Bill, Emma to Viennese Waltz elegant, exquisite, tearful

The Four Star Review highlighted a shining Samba Relay
A shimmering, star-spangled, spectacular, saucy array

The ballroom was shaking, the rafters quaking from above
Eager anticipation crescendoing for the freestyles we love

Jack and Cheryl spun a top hat and tails, tantalizing tale
A slap-happy, snap-happy, cane-tappy, hearty and hale

Corbin and Karina channeled a Michael Jackson THRILLER
A hanging-in-the-air, smooth as silk, a be-dazzling chiller

Amber and Derek with a Saloon group came on with a bang
Spicy, hand-clappy, feet-snappy, cheers from the crowd rang

Emma and Bill, Indiana Jones or the entertainer with a heart
Flying with theatrical flavor, his shirt playing a comedic part

The ending sadly for Emma and Bill, he graciously took bows
He went out proudly, a gentleman of charisma gave us wows

THE ALL-STAR FINALE will be continued, will be a Part Two
Another poem will be written, my gift from me just for you!

Such fantastic TV ratings for Dancing With The Stars again! Not only was Monday night’s Finale the top Entertainment show of the night again, it lead NBC’s “The Voice” by its “largest head-to-head advantage“. Then to top things off further and hitting a season high, ABC was the Most-Watched Net on the Sweep’s Final Tuesday with the “Dancing With The Stars” Finale finishing as “the night’s dominant #1 TV Show”. Also, the “Dancing with the Stars” Finale earned 6 month highs for ABC in its time period. Below is more from ABC Media Net.

“Dancing with the Stars” (8:00-10:00 p.m. – 14.2 million and 2.2/6 in AD18-49):

Building its numbers on night 1 of its 2-night season finale, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” was Monday’s most-watched entertainment show for the 5th week in a row. Bill Engvall was the next celebrity dancer eliminated from the competition. Growing week to week in Total Viewers (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+10%), “DWTS” drew its biggest audience since its season premiere and scored a 9-week high with young adults – since 9/16/13 and 9/23/13, respectively. Tom Bergeron Chats About What Keeps Dancing With The Stars Refreshing And More

Host Tom Bergereon talked with OK!TV about Dancing With The Stars. Never did he imagine when the show first started in the summer of 2005 that it would take off like it did. They ask him how they keep the show refreshing. Tom says the producers do a good job tweeking it, but, the key thing is that it’s a LIVE show with no safety zone (so true). Tom chats a little about America’s Funniest Home Videos as well. More below….

DWTS Season 18 Rumor: Tori Spelling To Dance So She Can Rehab Image?

According to Radar Online, Tori Spelling is interested in doing the show so she can rehab her image. Below is more from the link. Note: this isn’t the first time this rumor has circulated. In Season 16, Tori was rumored to be thinking about doing Dancing With The Stars as well.

Producers of DWTS have approached the former 90210 star “to appear on the show in the past, but she has always declined because of other various projects Tori was working on,” a source told Radar.

“Tori has now decided to make herself available and wants to appear on the upcoming season which is scheduled to begin in March 2014. The main reason Tori wants to go on is to rehab her image in the aftermath of the fallout from her book. She doesn’t want the public to think she goes around picking on Katie Holmes and Martha Stewart.”

You can read more at Radar Online about her book, etc.

So, what do you think? Tori Spelling for Dancing With The Stars Season 18?

PureDWTS Media Tidbits – Kitchen Dance Wars, Mark Ballas And Tom Bergeron Interviewed, And More

Hey All! How was your Thannksgiving? I hope you had a fun day!! So, are you ready to shop now on Black Friday? Yikes…I won’t be shopping, but, I’ll be working it this morning instead. Wish me luck! 😯

So, just a few media starters today!! First, yesterday some “kitchen dance wars” were started at twitter between the Derek Hough and Maria Menounos families. While this was all going down, Mark Ballas and his family joined in on the action. After that, Amber Riley and her family dared them too. It’s hilarious and they are all so good…even dancing in their kitchens and living rooms. lol Be sure to see THIS POST at Pure Derek Hough to see them all!!

And speaking of Mark Ballas, he will be talking on the Dancing With The Stars Season 17 finale in a LIVE chat at Extra on Tuesday, December 3rd. If you’d like to ask him questions and listen in, bookmark this link.

Also, I’m not sure when this little Pop Candies interview with Tom Bergeron and Mark Ballas happened, but, they were asked about this past season of Dancing With The Stars and who they’d like to see dance in the future. Tom mentions William Shatner again, but, says he knows he’ll never do it. Poor Tom….he’s also asked some silly questions too. I don’t know how they keep their patience with the paparazzi sometimes.

Ok, more later!!xx

Carrie Ann Inaba Writes About The DWTS Season 17 Finale, Celebrates With The Cast (Photo)

Carrie Ann Inaba has written her new and final blog of the season at Parade.com. She starts off saying that “the best dancer won”. Below is more including her thoughts on all the finalists.

Well, the best dancer won!!!! I know this season was very unique in that no one really knew how the audience was ultimately going to vote. With the Bill Engvall Phenom, it was hard to say how things were going to turn out since we had shocking elimination after shocking elimination this season. But in the end, I would definitely say that the best dancer won. Amber Riley had a special kind of dancing Mojo. I was so surprised to see how emotional she was in her final package.

After Amber won, she came right over and thanked the judges. In all 17 seasons, that’s never happened! She was so happy and thrilled to have won and thanked us for our comments throughout the season. That was a treat for us. 🙂 It’s nice to be thanked!

What I love about Amber is that she really let herself become vulnerable during the season. In life, we go through a lot of it with feigned confidence and faux strength. I see more and more in life that people don’t allow things into their hearts and risk hurt through failure or disappointment. But in life, it is truly the case that if you don’t risk, you don’t gain. I was impressed with the amount of emotion that came flooding out of Amber in that final video package before they announced the winner. You could see that she opened her heart to this whole experience and she really let it move her. Actually, I think that was the case for most of our performers this season.

This was a beautiful season with a fantastic ending. The freestyles on night one of the finals were incredible. I haven’t seen such wonderfully produced and performed production numbers in a long time. The Amber Riley Stomp and shoot-out fest was cool and slick and powerful and ever so well rehearsed. They were tighter than tight!!!! And it was a first that frat stomping was used in a freestyle. And then, Jack’s incredible Old School Hollywood Ending was touching and glamorous and felt like the picture-perfect ending to a wonderful story that was Jack’s story. His incredible strength is to be admired. I suffer as well from a few Auto-Immune conditions that make life challenging at times but you have to (ask Jack always says) Go Big or Go Home, which is exactly what he did. He went big and he never gave up. And, he didn’t use his illness as a crutch for sympathy which made his journey even that much more respectable.

Lots more at Parade.com. I loved when she called Derek Hough a “mastermind choreographer” and that he is.

Also, be sure to see E Online as well. They have a new feature posted about Carrie Anne’s finale dress and how it came to be. She looked beautiful, didn’t she?! So classy! I loved it. And here she is at the Dancing With The Stars wrap party with Bill Nye after the show. Pic courtesy of Zimbio Pictures.
