DWTS Cheryl Burke On Jack Osbourne: “He’s bigger than what this is all about. He’s an inspiration”
Cheryl Burke has penned her new blog. She writes of being so thankful and excited to be in the Dancing With The Stars finals with Jack Osbourne. They plan to work hard this week and do the best they can. Below is more from Life & Style Magazine.
We knew Bill Engvall was going to be safe because he’s been safe now for the last few weeks. Leah Remini [editor’s note/spoiler alert: Leah and her partner, Tony Dovolani, went home] has such a strong fan base, so I didn’t really know where everything would stand. We’re trying to work our hardest and stay as humble as possible, but it’s just an amazing feeling to know that people are rooting for Jack.
I’ve said that I think people often forget that he has Multiple Sclerosis. Everyone really saw that this week and I got really emotional last night. Reality just hit all of a sudden. I’ve never had a partner like Jack before. He’s bigger than what this is all about. He’s an inspiration. Thank God we had a commercial break after that touching package aired!
Believe it or not, he’s not nervous. He’s going to thrust now that we’re in the finals. It’s been such an amazing ride. Whatever happens from here, happens from here. We’re going to enjoy this moment. Don’t get me wrong, we’re going to work hard and going to try and do the best we can do, but at the end of the day, I’m just so proud of him.
Loves loves these two!
Not only is Jack an inspiration he’s also a part time miracle worker by making love Cheryl! lol
I think what we’ve seen from Cheryl this season with Jack is the real Cheryl, hidden underneath layers of indifference and behind walls of protection. At least I hope so.
Together, they’ve quickly become one of my favorite couples ever on the show and really bring home the importance of correct matching of a pro with the celebrity.
It’s casting alchemy. Cast wrongly and you get lead (Hope/Maks, Liz/Val) cast correctly and you get gold (Jack/Cheryl, Bill/Emma).
Well said Susan!!
So true, Susan. After last season in one of Vogues questionnaires, I didn’t include Cheryl on my list of pros that I wanted to see. I think myself and a lot of others thought she needed a break. Turns out what she really needed was a partner like Jack. I’m usually always rooting for Derek and his partners but pending freestyles, I might actually vote for this couple instead.
What is so touching about Jack is that his journey is also the one going forward. If he is lucky he will keep his mobility for years to come. If he is not, this experience on dwts might be remembered by him in a wheelchair. This is what makes his dancing so poignant. And this is, I think, what Cheryl is all too aware of.
Great comments on this post! I wish him all the best in the future 🙂
