Dancing With The Stars Sharna Burgess Talks On Charlie White’s Engagement
People caught up with Dancing With The Stars Sharna Burgess at LadyLike Foundation’s 6th Annual Women of Excellence Scholarship Luncheon this past weekend. They asked her About Charlie White’s engagement to Tanith Belbin. Read on for an “awww” moment….
“They have such an amazing relationship … and he knew,” Burgess, 28, said. “In his heart, he knew that she was going to say yes, and he just wanted it to be perfect. He wanted it to be the perfect setting, the perfect ring, the perfect time.”
White managed to pull off his surprise proposal to Olympic silver medalist Belbin, but his former dancing partner came close to spilling the beans to the bride-to-be on more than one occasion.
“Every time I would see her, I would have this smile on my face that you can’t really explain because I knew what was going to happen and she didn’t. It was wonderful!” Burgess said.
So when ice dancer White finally posted the picture of the pair following their magical moment, Burgess couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“I jumped for joy even though I knew it was going to happen,” she said. “Just to see that photo come up on Instagram and know … they’re a match made in heaven.”

Always LOVED how supportive Sharna is of Charlie. Not surprised he would share his plans with her. Really hope to see them work together again.

And I love that Charlie finally proposed to Tanith. She deserves it. She has been so supportive of Charlie for so long and seems to adore him. Best wishes to them and yes, I would love to see Sharna and Charlie dance again.
Thanks for posting. This is so adorable. Sharna is a sweetheart and so are Charlie and Tanith. I’m still so mad that they didn’t get to make it to the finals because of the sheeple skating fans who thought Meryl was going to be eliminated. I hope Sharna does get a good celeb and wins the MBT in the near future. She is a good teacher and can work with any student. She is genuine, brilliant and not the type to put up a faux/show-mance for the sake of a win. Unfortunately, this season was already decided before it began.
So much for the not-so-bright Meryl Maks shippers who are of the impression that Tanith and Charlie called the paparazzi to take unglamorous photos of themselves. I want to know what degree of insanity could warrant such a thought process LOL. Wouldn’t they have wanted to capture the actual proposal if they were going out of their way to do such a thing?

Kate – why were skating fans obligated to vote for Charlie? From what I can tell, most skating fans wanted Meryl to win and that was their priority when voting, especially the week she was at the bottom of the leaderboard. Charlie needed “Charlie fans” to vote for him, and obviously there weren’t enough of them.

A lot of skating fans were splitting votes, as one can easily tell by how they were saying they would exclusively vote for Meryl when Charlie was gone. They felt Charlie would be redeemed that way. The producers clearly knew about this vote splitting. They wanted Charlie gone so there wouldn’t be any votes negating Maks and Meryl being far ahead of the rest. The easiest strategy was to put Meryl at the bottom so everyone would rush to her rescue and it ended up achieving the desired effect. Doesn’t take a genius to figure that one out. Not all skating fans wanted Meryl to win. But a lot of them wanted both of them in the finals.

Kate(1) Yes. I can not believe that the so-called “fans” actually believe that Charlie and Tanith called the paps. If they did, they surely could have posed better. Sometimes I wonder about them. A lot want Maks and Meryl to actually date(surely Meryl could do a lot better than Maks?). They just seem so eager for Meryl to have somebody
especially now that Charlie is engaged.

LOL, you couldn’t even recognize them, the angles were so bad. Where was the most important shot of Charlie getting down on his knee to propose HAHAHA??? They always have to slight him in any way they can because it must definitely not be right to be so “normal”.
With Meryl, unfortunately the showmance will have to run its course.
Typical fan girl showmancers. When one of the dream couple gets a real girlfriend they all act like a bunch of scorned women. 🙂
