PureDWTS Poetry Corner: “Casting The Stars Of The Dance”

And here is our fabulous resident poet, Lois, with another one of her great poems putting this past week’s emotions together….

CASTING STARS OF THE DANCE

Season 19 is complete by casting stars of the dance
A variety of stars twinkling, tantalizing, taking a chance

From a race car driver to actors oozing the word hot
Each one has been cast, each one being given a shot

To have their star rise, twirling across the dance floor
DANCING WITH THE STARS casting spells and allure

The pros are polishing the talents of the brilliant cast
Three new pros join the fun, will their stars learn fast

On September 4 the cast assembled together on GMA
Announced one by one, it was a glorious, happy day

Having the honors of announcing each dancing pair
Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews voices filled the air

The pairs debuted as they came through the door:

KEO MOTSEPE AND. LOLO JONES
TONY DOVOLANI AND BETSEY JOHNSON

EMMA SLATER AND MICHAEL WALTRIP
ALISON HOLKER AND JONATHAN BENNETT

But, wait, Number 13 was cast, there was one more:

The countdown is on, the ballroom is ready to roar
Rafters will shake, dance fever temperatures soar

September 15 stars will shine, emitting a special glow
CASTING STARS OF.THE DANCE and on with the show!
