Music Buzz: Will Chris Brown Perform On Dancing With The Stars?
According to Hollywood Life, Chris Brown might be performing on Dancing With The Stars at some point in the season. And what if it happens even as soon as next week for the premiere being his new “X” album comes out on the 16th? I hope so. I always love Chris’ performances and I hope he dances.
HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Chris is set to take the stage on Saturday Night Live and even the ballroom dance floor on Dancing With The Stars.
“In support and promotion for ‘X,’ Chris will be doing the typical promotional slate to get the word out that the album is coming and that will include appearances and performances on both SNL and DWTS,” an insider tells us. “Everyone is very excited for this to happen and Chris really wants to make the appearances very memorable. Should be a very fun time.”
I know you like his performances, Vogue, but my first thought was no thank you. Yes, he’s got some good, danceable songs that work well on the show, but I still remember the controversy when he came last time. But it does get people to watch, I guess.
I LOVE seeing the performers when they come, and I love it more when OUR professional dancers get to dance with them. 🙂
Agreed with Lori on this one. Chris has some good songs but there are better, less controversial stars the show can reach for.
Hate him as a person but his music is catchy.
I’m not too thrilled in all honestly. I know it happened years ago but I can’t support someone involved in domestic violence (just a personal opinion) but I can see why they would want him on the show because of his dance experience and music.
I agree with Lori. I’m not a fan of Chris Brown. And since I can’t say anything nice about Chris Brown.. I just won’t say anything at all. 🙂
In this huge world of talent to pool from, I don’t want or need to see this woman-beater again. I’m just someone that can’t separate art from morally bankrupt, illegal behavior like, “You may be a child molester or a rapist but you’re such a great director.”
Chris has been on the show before so he’s had his turn. The Ray Rice video that came out today just exacerbates a pervasive problem of the degradation and treatment of women as inhuman objects to be pushed and knocked around. Not having it.
When Chris Brown starts acting mature, stays out of trouble and shows repentance for his bad behavior then I’ll cut him some slack. I haven’t seen any sign of this, so I don’t want him on the show.
I’m all for giving people a second chance, but they have to show a willingness to better themselves and stop their destructive or violent behavior.
Not a fan of Chris Brown. I’m all for the show using his songs because they’re really catchy, but I’d rather not see him performing there. Like someone said up thread, there are other talents out there who are/were not embroiled in controversy such as domestic violence.
It appears that my remote’s mute button will be getting a lot of action this season.
I can’t imagine Cheryl is too thrilled about this, given what she wrote in her memoir a few years back about being abused by a former dancesport partner.
I don’t think any of the female pro was thrilled to have him on the show a few seasons ago when he performed, if a remember quite well.
