Will Cheryl Burke Retire From Dancing With The Stars?
My Dad will just be crushed if Cheryl Burke retires from Dancing With The Stars. She talked about it more with People. In this interview she mentions she might not retire if ABC makes an offer she can’t refuse. We’ll see.
“You’ve seen me grow up on TV, doing what I love in front of millions of people. But I also feel the need to expand and challenge myself and do other things – not that this isn’t a challenge. It completely is!”
Burke, 30, says the show, which she joined in its second season, takes up eight to nine months of the year, limiting her from spreading her wings. There’s always a chance ABC could make her an offer she can’t refuse, but Burke seems ready to see what lies beyond the mirror ball.
“It’s hard,” she professed. “What this show has given me has been life-changing. I owe my life to this show.”

I’ll be sad to see Cheryl go but at the same I’m happy for her for wanting to move on and expand. Like most I watched Cheryl from the beginning and love her. Wish more would give her more love. IMO she’s one othe the underrated pros on the show. I’m excited for what to come from Cheryl in the future.
I support change. Cheryl and all the pros deserve to advance their career. Julianne had her chance many seasons ago, and I hope dwts can be just as supportive as they did to Julianne . Good luck Cheryl! You will be missed, but wishing you all the best in your future endeavours outside dwts. Spread that wings and soar high!

Anyway, I wish Cheryl the best of luck, if this is her last season. She has entertained us viewers for many seasons with her great talent.
I want Cheryl to have a gig before she leaves though. Hosting, reporting, something and I’ll watch. I just don’t want her to leave and have nothing in writing on the horizon. Maks may have had acting gigs inked before he left but as far as I can tell he didn’t. Out of sight, out of mind. Of course Cheryl isn’t Maks on many levels and I really want her to have another long-term job after DWTS. I’m rooting for her.
Cheryl has been very active and very visible for a long time now – moreso than Maks, by a lot I think. I think she’ll be just fine in whatever she decides to do. I also doubt very much she has to worry about money. 🙂
I kinda hope she gets to host a show (E News, Fashion Police, ET, Access Hollywood, etc). She would be great.
I think she can do other things. I’m waiting for the time she, Karina (my fav pro), Derek, Mark and Tony leave the show. I’m prepared for that and think all they are too and wish them good luck when it happens.
