DWTS19 Week 2 Media And Interview Roundup, Some Dances Revealed For “Movie Night” Next Week
Wowza, what a night last night on Dancing With The Stars!!!! I was blown away by either the creativity and skill of the dancing or the heart and soul put into it. So, let’s get to some media and interviews. First of all, don’t miss seeing some fabulous photos of the cast and show at ABC7. Afterwards, below is a recap and new interviews with ABC7, Access Hollywood, and Afterbuzz TV. Note: It’s “Movie Night” next week and from these interviews, we learn that Witney and Alfonso have a Fox Trot (or do they have a V. Waltz?). Mark and Sadie have a Viennese Waltz. Peta and Tommy have an Argentine Tango. For more dance spoilers see Heidi’s Discussion post and Pure Derek Hough.
ETA: Cheryl and Antonio have a Fox Trot next week.
Be watching for Access Hollywood to post more interviews later. And below are some Afterbuzz TV interviews with the fantastic JC Rubio….
Be watching Afterbuzz TV for more. We’ll try and add them too above.
Also, be sure to visit Glamour for a fun “behind the scene” pictures and some interviews. Below is a little teaser. You’ll have to visit the link for more.
After the show, Michael expressed to me his anxiety over tonight’s elimination. “I don’t even know if I’m going to last past tomorrow night! I knew I missed a step or two tonight, but I was so happy! I might not be the Mirrorball champion…but I want people to respect me as a dancer and say, ‘well, darn, he DID learn how to dance!’ The charismatic, 6’4 Waltrip, praised partner Emma Slater for “making me a better person! And talking to you! You make me happy!” (He’s a good one, that Waltrip!)
The funniest moment though was when I explained to Michael that he has chutzpah. Not sure of what that meant, I explained that it’s a Yiddish word that means having the guts to do something that one might usually be afraid to do. It’s living life to the fullest and putting yourself out there. And Michael and Emma are doing that tenfold on DWTS this season. In fact, they loved that word description so much that they used it in an Instagram post later in the night. You guys are truly the cutest!
Also, below is some after the show coverage from PopTVDotCom. Getty Images has some HQ pics of them at Mixology too.
Lastly is a late rehearsal afterview with Alfonso that came out before the show last night to take in too when you get time. You can watch it at Entertainment Tonight.
Ok, that is all for now. More later!! Vogue over and out! 😉 xx
ETA: E Online have posted some interviews from last night. You can watch them here.

From len critique of Alfonso we also know he has viennese waltz
Thanks Nicole. I’ll add that info too.
Mark may need to work on his impression(lol) but he has a valid point regarding the dance!
I’m happy to hear that we’ll be getting so many VW’s next week. It’s my favorite Standard dance.
It’ll be nice to see Sadie in a dance where she has to be elegant and I really like Mark’s Waltzes.
Tommy, Peta and Argentine Tango. I can’t wait!
Thanks Vogue!
I agree Jim!
YW Susan!! *Can’t wait for next week too.
Tommy cracks me up… “These man boobs are all mine”. Lol!
@Susan2 – I can wait either. Tommy and Peta are one of my favorites this season.
@Vogue – Should the Witney and Carson above actually be Witney and Alfonso?
Yes ..so sorry!
In the video, Witney says they have a foxtrot!
Yes, Sher, but someone said they have Viennese waltz during last night’s show. And to be fair, Witney & Alfonso made it clear that they weren’t 100% certain they had foxtrot next week.
Thanks Court. Edited. I’m getting so confused. I need a nap. lol
No you’re fine, Vogue – I think at this point, nobody can state with confidence which of the two Witney & Alfonso have…so I say their official status is “Viennese waltz or foxtrot”. Until we hear confirmation one way or another, neither answer is right or wrong.
Awesome. Thanks, and sounds good!! 😉
