Karina Smirnoff has written a new blog at People. She writes about how she and Randy will not be taking any chances with her and Randy Couture’s Paso Doble tonight on Dancing With Stars. Though check out how she punched him in rehearsals. lol…
This week, we’re doing paso doble. It’s Movie Night, and we’re dancing to Rocky’s “Eye of the Tiger,” which I think is perfect for Randy. Rocky is the ultimate underdog. And with Randy and his career in MMA, he was the ultimate underdog in every fight. He’s killing this paso!
The other day, I put in a combination of punches. We were trying to coordinate ducking and blocking, and I guess Randy forgot when to block, so I went for it and totally punched him! I was like, “Oh my gosh, what did I just do?” But he laughed and said, “Trust me, I’ve been hit harder.”
This week, we’re really taking no chances, no breaks. We want our scores to go up. Our scores went down last week. Not by a lot, but they did go down. We don’t want that to happen again.

Lea Thompson talked with TV Guide about Dancing With The Stars. They talk of what it was like to be in jeopardy in Week 1 to leading the pack in Week 2. Lea also previews tonight’s new dance for “movie” night…
Can you talk a little more about your Back to the Future dance?
Thompson: [Artem] wants to be Marty McFly. And I’m like, ‘I will not be dancing the cha cha with my son. It’s not happening. You have to be George McFly.’ … So, that’s been a big bone of contention. He said, ‘But you were in love with [your] son.’ And I said, ‘But my son wasn’t in love with me, so … ‘ (Laughs). So I’ve gotten him to be George McFly. And I wanted the song “Power of Love” from the movie, so that’s what we’re going to do.Kevin Hart is a guest judge on Monday, so hopefully he’s a Back to the Future fan.
Thompson: Does he know anything about dance? I think that might be bad for us, because Len really appreciates the rule-following that Artem does. We’ll have nobody who cares about the rules! I’m going to be like, ‘Artem, just do whatever you want.’
