Patriot’s Rob Gronkowski Says No To Dancing With The Stars Season 20
Remember when we posted about the possibility of Patriot’s Rob Gronkowski to dance on Dancing With The Stars Season 20? Many of us we’re so excited on this rumor. Well, apparently, he’s said “no” again. Below is more from the Boston Herald.
“I would love to go on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ but it would be unfair because I would win so easily,” Gronk told the Track. “All kidding aside I don’t think at this time in my career I should be leaving my team during offseason training. I do like to do other things, but not if they interfere with football at this time.”
More at the Boston Herald.
DANG!
Ok then. At least we can put this rumor to rest now.
“Dang!” – Same reaction, Voguerista.
Oh well – at least he had a good reason, and was more polite about it than Wes Welker was a few years ago…I remember him saying something to the tune of “I wouldn’t ever do a show like DWTS!” when someone asked him about it. I’ve noticed the Patriots have a rather odd dynamic to them – an almost militant adherence to the game, and blinders on about anything outside of it. I guess that’s the Belichick influence, but it just makes for some rather interesting media interactions.
Oh NO! I was so excited to watch him dance …now he was a real STAR!
Certainly DWTS’s loss …:(
That sucks
Apparantly they’ve turned their attentions to Malcolm Butler now. (the rookie who intercepted Wilson’s pass to make the superbowl winning play). From all the reports of Gronk, Wilson and Butler surely they’ll manage to bag one footballer for the coming season.
That sucks!!!!
Drat, Gronk would’ve been entertaining. Meanwhile, Edelman was auditioning at the parade, is making the press rounds now and seems connected with Val, so I wonder if he’s a possibility.
Gronk would have been the best Patriot to have. So if they can’t get him, I’d rather they just let it go.
I’m all in favor of one footballerm, but more than one is overkill, and it seems they still have a chance of getting Wilson.
The whole idea of trying transfer the Superbowl matchup to the dance floor strikes me as ludicrous. The last thing I want to endure is dueling NFL fan bases voting sight unseen to uphold the honor of their team. The lesser known (potentially better) dancers wouldn’t stand a chance.
Cidra,
That’s not true. Brady would have been the best Patriot to have, but Gronk would have been next. Did you see Gronk on that dating show. He’s such a meat head which would have definitely made things interesting.
Edelman knows a few of the dancers then, although I’m not sure how. Derek was in their family’s box during the championship game – no idea how that happened, but he had photos with the Edelmans and Giselle also.
Ah John, you just want Gisele in the audience 😉
Never really was a Brady fan but did anyone else see what he did with the car he won? Now that was a classy move. Pretty cool guy.
