PureDWTS Season 20 Week 7 Media And Interviews After Dance Night – Videos, Photos
What a show last night. They all danced so good, but, I’m still upset about Mark and Willow getting eliminated. 🙁 They were my second favorite couple. Mark’s choreography has been stellar this year. I’m going to remember Willow for her laughter and innocence. She worked so hard (harder than many teens would). She never complained (like other celebs have this season). She proved that teenagers can do this show with the best of them and at a young age too. And so what if she broke down after she was eliminated. Some of the media and tweets I’m reading this morning with her being too young to do show is sad. I would have broke down too. Willow, don’t change who you are in the least. Thank you for dancing and refreshing this show with your beautiful and youthful spirit like you did! A lesson for us all!
So, how about if we start off with the scores?
Nastia Liukin & Derek Hough – 38
Riker Lynch & Allison Holker – 37
Willow Shields & Mark Ballas – 37 (Eliminated)
Noah Galloway & Sharna Burgess – 36
Rumer Willis & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – 35
Chris Soules & Witney Carson – 31
Robert Herjavec & Kym Johnson – 31
And for media starters today, go to ABC 7 to see a recap and some beautiful photos. The Daily Mail and Entertainment Tonight also have some fun photos.

Thank you, Vogue for bringing over these interviews so quickly. Really enjoyed the Access one with Willow & Mark. I’m definitely going to miss their partnership something fierce.
Thanks for posting the interview with Willow and Mark. They were truly wonderful to watch every week. Will miss seeing them in the finals. Unfortunately they were not on GMA this morning, so it was nice to hear what they both had to say. They will be missed 🙁
Loved Willow and Mark! They should not have been the ones leaving. I had split my votes between Willow and Nastia. Willow is so mature for 14! Thanks for the interview Vogue!
Miss her so much right now…
YW Guys, thanks too, and couldn’t more on Willow!! xx
Honestly, I feel kinda bad for Mark. He looks pissed. Great choreographer.
Same as last year. Mark was pissed then too. There was a period when I didn’t care for Mark, but the past few seasons I actually have grown to like him. Sorry to see Willow and Mark go.
I don’t blame him for being upset. He has designed some wonderful, entertaining choreography and had two partners in the last two seasons, Sadie and Willow, who appreciated his talent and worked just as hard as he worked. It’s a shame that less talented remain on the show. His choreography over these last 16 seasons will continue to be remembered forever.
I don’t blame Mark one bit for being upset, but he’s been on the show long enough to know that the eliminations can be unpredictable. I was shocked that they called their name to be leaving. Willow deserved to be on longer. She certainly took it like a grown up, yes, she shed a few tears, but she regrouped and did her interviews. Mark has really impressed me the last 3-4 seasons. Willow is such a great role model for the young in her age group.
Also, thank you Vogue, for taking the time to upload these videos for us.
YW! Thanks for all of your comments! I couldn’t agree more about Willow and mark!
Thanks for all the videos! I’m not a shipper, but could Kym and a Robert be anymore adorable? Love the hand play during their interview!
The good thing about Suzanne being gone us that we get Tony and Leah!
Catching up on the interviews. First, thanks as always for the wonderful job you do, Vogue!
It just hurts to watch Willow and Mark, and he has every right to be angry. However, as KKat said, he’s been around long enough to know these ridiculous eliminations happen, and he’s been on both sides of them. I know Willow will be fine; she’s an intelligent, mature young woman with a bright futur ahead of her. Mark’s done a superb job with Candace, Sadie, and Willow (and really redeemed himself in my eyes). So I hope next season he gets an easy assignment.
Love Robert and Kym. I can see why he’d be frustrated with the scores because he’s so much better than that clod Chris doesn’t get either the praise or the padded scores the Clydesdale gets.
Noah and Sharna’s partnership is just so strong, but still fun. I love the way they respect each other but can kid each other too. It broke my heart to hear Sharna talk about the freestyle she had planned for Charlie. I think the way they were treated still bothers her, and you could see by the way Noah was looking at her that she’s told him how it all went down and it bugs him because he’s protective of his partner. I think it makes him even more determined to make it to the finals (both for himself and for her).
YW Guys! Thanks so much for your comments!!
And Cids, I agree about for what you said about Noah and Sharna. I loved her and Charlie. She knows just how Willow and Mark are feeling. And just a heads up….we have a new interview coming up with Noah and Sharna later today!
Yes, thank you Vogue for all the great info! I’ve been away so haven’t been commenting, but I have been reading PureDWTD and Pure DerekHough while away. We were visiting friends who love DWTS, but had no idea about the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. When I filled them in, they were shocked. It made me realize just how naive the general public is in regards to what they see on the show. I actually think I spoiled the show a bit for them. Ignorance is bliss in this case. I felt bad afterwards.
I think the way things went down for her and Charlie coupled with the pre-S19 shenanigans weighed/continues to weigh on Sharna’s mind more than she’d like to admit. The female pros seem so much more susceptible to being expendable while the usual suspect male pros are coddled in a way.
You are so welcome Megs and THANK YOU!!! xxx And you are right…my Dad and my Boss are always asking me to fill them in because they don’t see what we do on the internet. And yeah…sometimes I’m not sure that’s a good thing or a bad thing in some cases.
I think Cheryl is the only female pro that was routinely treated with a high amount of respect – at least the only one that comes to mind.
But it’s definitely true that the general public has NO freaking idea what is going on behind the scenes – and they really eat up what the judges say as fact. Their words and tone have just as much power as their scores.
Poor Charlie and Sharna. I hope it’s some comfort to her that the producers knew they had to put Noah with her, because she (or Karina, possibly) were really the best options for him, and she may make the finals with him.
