Kim Zolciak And Alfonso Ribeiro Talk About DWTS On Good Morning America – Videos
Kim Zolciak gave Good Morning America an update on her health condition. She’s doing much better, but, she doesn’t feel it was fair that she couldn’t dance after her health scare. Alfonso Riberio was also interviewed on Good Morning America today. They talked with him about America’s Funniest Home Videos, but, he also talked a little about Dancing With The Stars a little and how much he loves being part of the show. Thanks so much to @idolxfactor1 for being so fast with footage as always.
ETA: Below is a new interview with E Online or you can read about it at this link. Note that producers said “no” to her coming back next season too.
After their disqualification, Kim and Tony actively supported a fan campaign (which included a petition signed by over 20,000 people) to get the couple into the competition. But the DWTS lawyers didn’t budge…and also vetoed another one of Kim’s ideas: competing next season!
I have to disagree with Kim.
1) It wouldn’t be fair for to skip one week while others trained hard that week. Rules are rules.
2) A stroke is very serious, most that have TA usually have another one within 1 year. In addition, God forbid something happened while she was on the show this would open up the show to lawsuits.
I disagree with Kim. I believe I read that the rehearsal footage can be used but it must be from the dress rehearsal (or a DWTS studio?) As a lawyer I will tell you no way of those are the rules do they make an exception. And without doctor’s health clearance to fly, I wouldn’t okay her to perform. Personally, as a mom, I don’t understand why she would risk her life for a dance show. She’s got other show and husband’s job. Not worth it to me.
I haven’t even watched the video, but is Kim still stuck on this “sign a petition so I can come back” nonsense??? Good got, that woman is an entitled little twatwaffle.
Kim needs to make like Elsa and Let It Go.
She’s either milking this situation for more publicity or she’s a spoiled brat who thinks rules don’t apply to her. Probably both.
The whole petition thing kinda seems like a publicity stunt to me. I can’t believe media outlets are still giving her attention about it. It seems like most DWTS fans agree that she couldn’t dance so she isn’t missed at all. I wish she would go away. Her selfies in the hospital and the whole stroke thing now seems like it was a desperate media stunt because she realized she was going to be voted off next.
The more this woman talks, the more she gives the lie to her earlier statements that her health and family come first. Looks to me like her well-crafted facade of being such a “good mother” is starting to crack and reveal the self-absorbed fame whore she really is.
Kim is a conundrum to me because she really is trying to get back on the show despite her health and I’m no doctor nor do I claim to be but what happened to her was terrible and she is lucky to be as healthy as she is now becuase some people go through much worse but there is always a chance it can happen again. She should focus on figuring out if that runs in her family and not some stupid attempt to get back in the show.
Give it up Zolciak! Rules are rules & you couldn’t be in LA so therefore you’re out!
Behaving graciously is becoming a lost art. This was such a wonderful opportunity for Kim to be gracious about it all — the chance to be on the show, the unfortunate but also potentially-life-saving mini stroke, her perfect recovery, and a wonderful family supporting her through it all. Instead she bitches about how wrong it was, how this didn’t happen to other people (never mind that the situations were so different as to be inapplicable), and slathers everyone with her sense of self-importance. This woman is sorely tempting fate.
**Have to add that as I was writing this it occurred to me that Bindi is a very gracious individual. Never really thought of it before, but I do think it’s one of the things that contributes greatly to who she is.
It’s funny to me because she’s complaining about not being on the show but I never got a sense from her that she wanted to be there in the first place. I think deep down she’s relieved to be off the show but she needs attention so she stirs up trouble. And not for nothing – she wasn’t going to last much longer anyway! Heck – I’d rather see Gary “dance” than her!!!
I will add that, as someone who works at an engineering firm, if your insurance won’t cover it, you don’t do it. The insurance won’t cover it if the lawyers say there is too much liability involved. It won’t happen.
I could see if she was at the top of the leader board and doing great dancing and was showing how much she was enjoying dancing like a few of the other ladies, but that didn’t happen either. This just seem like an attention getter. If she really loved this show like she says, she should have showed some good grace and hoped to be on next season. But, with her reaction to being withdraw, she ruined any chance of that happening also. Just be happen you are well so you can enjoy your family.
