Dancing with the Stars Season 21, Week 6 – LIVE BLOG (Spoilers)
Week 6 already!! Wow…time flies.
Well, I think it’s been a good season so far – light on the manipulation and shenanigans (until last week). I expect that may all change tonight. Either way, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
T-minus 15 minutes…
LOL – Robert (Bindi’s bro) is on All Access – so cute.
So, great opening number…off the top of my head I saw Singing in the Rain (Derek), Flash Dance (Karina), ONE….what else….
CAI just said they would be looking for the style they were assigned. I smell BS already.
Thought Hayes and Emma did really well – a tiny bit hosed by the judges, I think I would have gone a bit higher.
Great job by Andy and Allison! Fantastic set – great job by DWTS production. Loved it.
Hmmmm….a perfect score?? Okay, I thought it was great, but a 40?? Are they trying to save Andy or get rid of someone else??
Alexa’s dance was just okay. She didn’t own it…she kinda went backward a bit. And why does Mark look like one of the lost boys and the other two men look like MrClean??
Oy veh…harsh on the scores. First Andy is a good bit higher than he should be and now Alexa is lower. That’s just not right.
Holy crap…Derek crawling on the floor a la Johnny Castle. Excuse me while I take a fangirl break…
Okay, I’m back. So, Andy is vastly overscored (by 4 points IMO) and Alexa is underscored by 2 or 3 points. What the hell are they going to do with Bindi?? Something sketchy is going on here
Beautiful dance by Bindi and Derek – that lift was a close one. You can see on the replay Derek shaking. Very glad I don’t have to whip out the C U Next Tuesday on CAI. Of course, Derek did fit a good bit of Rumba right at the beginning, but after that it was all mambo…why did the not just let then do a mambo?? Perhaps they wanted to get a rumba out of the youngster? Any ideas??
LOL – someone tunes in at the top of the hour and the see that DWTS has gone to crazy town. 😀 Seriously, Tony, I didn’t need to know that Louis shaved his legs before the show. Anyway, that was a lot of fun.
Carlos – not as bad as I expected (ooo..another lift) and that’s largely due to Witney jumping in in the middle. It was pretty good.
Emma breakin’ the shipper’s hearts on All Access. 🙂 Not terribly effusive about Alek, although she could be keepin’ it on the DL and I wouldn’t blame her.
Not a great dance from Alek, but not horrible. It was all about the performance – he’s not a performer, so it’s not that surprising. He was hilarious in the package, though. I think it’s a very good thing that he had Jive this week because I think he’s safe – and now he’s got Jive out of the way, because I don’t think it will ever be his dance. Unfortunately, I think he’s got a lot of dances left that may not be his strong point.
Kinda harsh on the scores – they could have given him all 8’s.
Oh poor Tamar – she sounds horrible.
Great dance by Tamar. She kills it when she’s dancing alone…she did kinda stiffen up when dancing with Val. It was glaringly obvious. But man, dancing solo she killed it.
Val, please shut up. I like you so much better when you’re not talking. You come off as arrogant even when trying to be nice.
Paula/Louis and Alexa/Mark in jeopardy.
The eliminated couple is…..Paula and Louis.
Final word of the night – I will miss Paula very much, she’s been awesome. I’m just relieved that it wasn’t Mark and Alexa – but I am worried for her next week very much. With Andy getting a perfect score, she could be in trouble.
That opening number was awesome. I can watch Karina all day so I’m super psyched she got the flash dance thing 🙂 I’ve never really sat through that entire movie but that scene was perfect for her.
That was actually an amazing opening number! Loved it!
My age is showing here: I just found out a couple days ago that that famous scene Karina just did is from Flashdance. I had seen that SOOO many times but I had no idea it was from that movie. Lol. Woops!
Great opening number and I am loving the celebs’ costumes. Tamar looks AMAZING – a lot like Janet. Loving that.
My favorite parts of the opening number were Karina in Flashdance and Tony and Anna as Fred and Ginger.
I saw A Chorus Line, Hey Big Spendor from Sweet Charity, Beyonce’s Put A Ring On It and I’m sure a few more that I missed.
The opening tonight is great!
Hayes’s jazz was fun to watch, but I was a little underwhelmed since I think he is capable of so much more.
You can’t touch this, mc hammer.
I thought Hayes did great. How hard to go first and in front of Olivia Newton John!
Great opening number! Loved Derek’s umbrella routine!
I liked Hayes’s Jazz.. ‘Twas cute. Still needs a bit of tweaking on certain aspects of dance.
The more I see that Charlie Brown commercial the more I get excited. Basically I turn into a five year old. Anyways back to the dancing lol. Hayes and Emma were a blast to watch and I can only imagine the pressure to do that in front of sandy Olsen herself. Was hoping there wouldn’t be the shake shack thing but the set and troupe was very cool and dare I say mark-esque. Hayes really embraced the inner travolta and felt it like Emma wanted him too :). The super cool trick with the legs was my favorite part. Naturally the weird warning thing happened when Carrie Ann started talking so I missed that part but honestly I kinda feel like i didn’t miss much lol. Also going to play fashion police real quick and say that Julianne looks amazing. Leah and Hayes interacting was cute. The scores were what I expected but am I the only one that loved tom in the shake thing lol.
Aww. I missed the opening number. Dang it.
Bored by Hayes and Emma. I didn’t even finish watching the dance. I turned to football.
I thought Hayes did great and I loved the opening number. Karina and Derek (my favs) were wonderful as always.
Hayes is the contestant that has really surprise me this season. I expected him not to last more than 2 weeks and to be an immature joke. He has proven me wrong. The jazz was cute and he does kinda look like a young John Travolta.
ooopsss, meant immature jerk. LOL!
Great jazz from Andy. His best dance thus far. Having said that, I don’t really like the jazz style.
OMG I did not take my eyes off of Any, so I have no idea what Allison did!! Granted I would have loved to see Derek do a routine to that song, maybe even with Andy :).
Olivia Newton john did the dance!!!! 🙂 I love the costumes on Andy and Allison becuase it looks like something out of the movie but if someone just blinged it out without going overboard. Patricia kelly helping out was amazing. She seems like such a nice person. The jacket part was my favorite part but the stairs were great too. Loved the ending with the couch too. It was a lot of props for one dance but somehow they made it work really well. I could have lived without the kitchen counter/island though. leah seemed a little subdued with Andy and Allison. Well deserved perfect score.
Wonderful performance from Andy & Allison!! Deserving of a perfect score…which makes me wonder, is he going home tonight? He definitely deserves to stay over Paula.
I loved Andy and Allison’s dance! Saying that, I don’t think it should have been all nines, but I still enjoyed it!
A 40? The dance was good but I didn’t think it was a perfect 40 worthy dance. Maybe Andy’s going home.
I did not think Andy/Allison’s dance was worth four 10’s. A good dance yes, but I was way more blown a way last week by him.
If Andy survives elimination tonight, then he’s given himself one hell of a chance to get past Halloween week as well. Good for him, he won me over last week so I’m happy for him.
I liked Andy’s dance but I don’t think it was 40-worthy. Oh well.
I feel Hayes was underscored a bit. He needed a little more punch and swagger to his movements but I thought the kid did all right.
I’m completely blown away by Andy and Allison this week. I’m just sucker punched by how well he did with such a difficult routine! Wowee wow wow!
Sorry, typo. I don’t think it should have been all tens, I thought it should have been all nines. My bad!!
I would have given Andy’s dance one or two 10’s. Not too sure about a perfect score. Hmmm…
I loved it anyways! It was pretty darn fantastic. Loved the bit with the raincoats.
This is one of those times where I wish we still had the results show.. so that maybe we could get an encore of that. Maybe in the Finale if he gets eliminated before that 😛
Really loved Andy and Allison this week! Scores well deserved.
Did not care for Alexa. I just don’t think she was sexy enough.
After the perfect score last week, I expected more from Alexa but I was not very impressed this week. It was a lackluster cha cha.
Ok so mark clearly had a blast costume wise lol. Seeing her with the snake made me smile becuase all I kept thinking was “bindi probably called and had one flown in” lol. Was that the case? I appreciate the reverence they have for the snake though and not wanting to freak it out. This dance screamed mark. The choreography was slick and fun. I think she had “the essence of Britney” in that dance so I’m not sure what Carrie Ann and Julianne were really talking about. Not sure what more she could have done to exude the inner Britney Spears lol. The cutaways to Carlos annoyed me. The scores were what I expected but honestly I think it deserved all 8s. Leah hit the nail on the head with marks facial expression lol.
I love Leah Remini as cohost. She’s a hoot. Such a comedian she is.
Looks like Derek finally got a haircut too. Me Likey!
Alexa did OK. I didn’t think it deserved 7’s though. Straight 8’s would have been fine, in my opinion.
Also, that had so little ChaCha content and I’m guessing it’s gonna be the same for other couples..
Wow Len would have HAAAAAAATED this theme night. Hahaha.
Don’t touch the snake’s head Paula!
This was the first instance of shoehorning a ballroom dance into a song/concept that didn’t work. With the staging, the snake, the recognizable Britany moments, it just didn’t jell into a good routine.
I thought Alexa did pretty good with what she had to work with. She looked a bit like Britany and the belly dance part of the routine she did really well.
I thought Alexa was just alright, but giving 7’s is ridiculous. And Mark is clearly livid.
Could not take my eyes of Andy. Singin’ in the Rain is an all-time fave of mine and he and Allison more than did it justice! With such difficult choreography too! I thought for sure they’d go off-sync on the stair part but they held it together!
I’m already worried about Bindi getting low-balled. Especially with CIA’s “we wanna see the dances they were given” comment.
So I am listening to All Access and I think Tony is with him. I was trying to watch the dance floor view but my TV and my computer are not cooperating with me. Of course Directv is coming tomorrow. Any who…I think Tony just said that some of the celebs were glad to go back to their original partners and some not so much. Wow. That was kind of in poor taste to say even if it was true.
These scores are sort of all over the place. I’m super nervous for Bindi now. Andy really has improved though!
I really enjoyed Bindi and Derek but there was barely any rumba, but I can’t blame them. It would have been perfectly easy for TPTB to give them a salsa at least. At least the judges don’t seem to care about the lack of rumba content.
Noah Galloway in the ballroom!!! Jennifer grey in rehearsals! I could not ask for more. Derek really was worried about that lift….kinda surprised me. I’m not gonna lie, this seemed like a rumba salsa fusion but considering that’s what tptb wanted that’s what we got. The lift! Holy damn that was mind blowing to see no matter who does it and so far he is the best out of the male pros to do it (tony a close second….and Val a third lol). Judges seemed to love it too. Bindi and Leah interacting with each other was great too. Terri Irwin seemed surprised by the perfect score.
Wow! What a fantastic dance by Team Crikey! Glad the lift police wasn’t on guard tonight! And the lift was great!! Fantastic!
Bindi and Derek’s dance wasn’t a rumba it was kind of stiff and it wasn’t a perfect score. The show isn’t going to attract viewers when it’s set for Bindi to win.I love Bindi but when the show picked it’s winner from week one why do they even give the other celebs hope.
-Hayes and Emma’s Grease dance was okay. He didn’t do as well as I thought he would.
-Singin’ in the Rain is an amazing musical, and I loved Andy and Allison’s dance, but I’m not sure I would have given it a perfect score.
-Huge Britney fan here, and I was a little underwhelmed by the dance. Alexa just didn’t radiate a bunch of “sexy” required for such a sexy performance. The snake was cool though, and Mark looked awesome haha.
-Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite movie ever, and I was BLOWN away by Bindi and Derek’s rumba. Wow! So good! Sensual, yet fun. I squealed when they did the lift! Such an iconic signature of the movie and they nailed it!
Ah, I don’t care there wasn’t much rumba. I thought it was fabulous and the perfect score was well deserved.
Hayes had me smiling through his whole dance. Andy was good but I don’t think it was worth a perfect score. Bindi is just adorable. Derek admitting to be nervous never happens but that dance was great. I had tears in my eyes watching Bindi get her perfect score.
And why did Carrie Ann break her rules JUST for Bindi…I don’t understand her.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, PAULA? Louis was working it with those short shorts more than she was.
Haha I saw Derek shaking during the lift too! It made me so nervous! Can’t imagine how he felt. : ) It was so cute, though. I think my heart pitter pattered when he lept off the stage ?
Paula/Louis was pretty much an arm dance. If there was leg work or ‘gliding’ as Bruno said, it was walking. I hope she goes homes tonight.
Ok so Paula and Louis confused me at first but then they said 1990 vma awards and considering I was born in 1990 I had no idea that it was Marie Antoinette themed lol. The dance itself was fun and I think her best dance entertainment wise. The shorts…..yeah that was quite a fashion statement there lol but then again who am I to talk since i was a blonde kid who wore a bright orange hat religiously until age 2 lol.
I did not care to see Louis in those shorts. Not appealing at all. I’m worried about Carlos dance. I’m imagining a lot of sleaze.
Could Paula just go home already?
I thought Hayes and Emma did a good job, cute routine. Still can’t believe he’s 15.
Andy and Allison were fab. Allison’s routine was very good. Andy had fun.
Mark and Alexa were just okay for me. Alexa didn’t seem like she completely owned Britney. Mark? I was so distracted by his costume.
Bindi and Derek? That was fabulous!!!!! I was so nervous for that lift. So cute to see that Derek was nervous. He’s human after all…wink, wink. So sweet at how excited he got after that dance. I’m relieved the judges awarded them a perfect score.
Side note: I would watch a show with Leah and Paula interacting the entire time. Crazy plus crazy equals fun lol.
Just for Bindi, Allyson?? You ain’t been watching the show this season have you?? Bindi is the only star who’s had a lift called on her although many have had them.
FYI, Dominic just said on All Access that the judges are giving a lot of leeway tonight because of the themes that were assigned, which is what you SHOULD do, when you assign them a lift. Any other way is shady as hell.
Am I the only one who could not stop watching/giggling at Sasha during vogue? lol so cute. The look on his face. He looked like he was going to crack up at any second.
Derek and Bindi were fabulous. One if my favorite movies and they did it justice for sure. Definitely 10’s!
Paula was fun. Would have given her 7’s.
Derek and bindi were fantastic! A well deserved score. Much rather have leah as cohost. Total riot!
So far I think Bindi and Paula have been the only appropriately-scored dancers. Hayes and Andy were overscored. Alexa’s score would have been fine if others hadn’t been overscored.
Alright so Paula did little to no dancing but it was still VERY VERY FUN. And I gotta give her props because, to me, it didn’t look like she missed a single one of those arm movements and she was very much in sync with the pros. Kudos to her!
I would have given that one 7 at least. Come on, Olvia!
Isn’t that the song that Allison dropped for Riker because she wanted to protect his image?
Carlos looked hot in that dance. Glad he was able to overcome his timidness over it because he showed he can stand by himself with the male pros and looked just as good dance-wise
CARLOS’S DANCE WAS SOOOO HOT! I love Magic Mike! He did a really good job despite his doubts. I loved it, lol.
Oh Carlos. This dance was interesting but honestly it had like two or three distinguishable rumba moves lol. I hated this dance but I’m guessing the ladies loved it I guess. A lot of lack of substance and less grinding than I expected so at least it wasn’t completely magic mike lol. Leah cracked me up. “What’s up with church tommorrow?” Lol.
Phew that Magic Mike dance was HOT! Alexa is one lucky lady.
Carlos’ dance didn’t make me uncomfortable. I call that a win.
So, yeah – Carlos looked great in that dance. He is still a turd, but he looked damn good. Even my boyfriend commented on how unexpectedly ripped he is (someone didn’t have carbs this week).
Carlo’s dance was a lot better than I expected it to be. He really committed to the performance. That was a whole lot of writhing male pulchritude up there and I rather enjoyed it. ☺️
No, Lalalalalala, that was “Work It” by Missy Elliott. BIIIIIIIIIG difference…
I laughed throughout Carlos’ entire dance. I’ve never seen Magic Mike and I don’t plan on it because I’ll probably laugh throughout that entire movie.
Andy is making me laugh, too, because that dude is just giddy. He’s like, “I got my perfect score so I’m going to be happy the rest of the night.”
Nice to see nick admit he sorta messed up last night due to insecurity but I still blame witney. Love how sharna wanted to put identifiable samba in there. The dance itself was solid gold. It was that good. For some reason I thought it was a pink shirt in the movie though. Thats my only critique.
Sharna killed that choreography. She mixed samba and disco and I loved it. CAI is crazy.
Liked Sharna/Nick but the dance floor was a little distracting. I sometimes lost him because of it.
I really like Nick’s dance! Great choreography by Sharna. Glad he is back with Sharna this week.
I wanted to love Nick and Sharna more than I did. I don’t know if the floor distracted me or what but I didn’t love it.
Nick’s dance was amazing! He was gettin’ it so much!!! I don’t know what the hell Carrie Ann is talking about but then again she’s messed it up in the head so…
I definitely thought he did better than Andy so why Carrie Ann gave Andy a 10 and not Nick, I have no idea.
I thought nick absolutely slaughtered that and was in character the whole time, I can’t believe CAI gave him a 9 but gave Carlos a ten. She’s got an agenda. Or, my moms long standing theory, which I know many agree with – she likes to put people down to make herself look like an expert, even when it’s a whack opinion lol.
I enjoyed Nick’s dance. It was fun to watch. I know I’m probably in the minority but I didn’t care for Carlos at all.
@fancy: I have been forced to sit thorough the first one and I literally made fun of it the entire time. So basically it was 95 percent snark and 5 percent uncontrollable laughter becuase the reactions of the people in the audience in the movie are so over the top.
I loved Nick and Sharna. I’m old as mud and I can fondly remember the days when I would be doing my own disco dancing.
What a great mix of recognizable Samba and classic SNF Travolta moves. Incredible.
I have no idea what the hell CAI was trying to say about it. Shush woman!
Wow, Nick killed that. Sharna’s choreography was out of this world for that one.
Carrie Ann is clearly an N*SYNC fan that’s all that can explain her always having it out for Nick…Could she at least have given some props for the choreography?
I really like Alek, but that was a very weak jive. He has the perfect song for a jive but there were barely any kicks or flicks.
The judges vogueing made me laugh because Bruno was loving it. Ok so this might be the one dance from alek I didn’t expect him to do great in but he killed it. Jailhouse rock is one of my favorite movies so I expected a lot and he delivered. Was it his strongest dance…not in my opinion. Saying that it was a hell of a lot of fun and I think Julianne is wrong about him plateauing over the course of the competition though.
Side note: Carrie Ann is very adiment about him working with artem isn’t she lol. That just struck me as odd since I think that…and I hate to say it…Val could help him more in that department.
Ok so I feel bad for Tamar for being sick (her voice sounded bad) but it looked more like her ego was bruised more than anything else and she wants to rebound big time. Val annoyed me with the “are you dancing for their approval” thing. Yes Val that’s the point of the show since they give the scores.
I thought the two sevens for Alek’s dance were a bit low. I would have been okay with all eights. He is improving in the performance aspect.
Go to Broadway in a year, Yvonne, and you might get to see Derek do that routine. Cross your fingers. 😉
Princess Heidi,I meant tonight even if they were allowed…The ones who actually did their proper dance styles got low scores. The ones that didn’t excluding Andy because I thought he did his dance style but the others got high scores for no content. That’s not fair.
I felt a little disappointed in Tamar’s routine. It was somewhat basic for me.
Tamar KILLED that dance. I never paid much attention to her in past weeks but this week she caught my eye for real! That was great! If she gets a 40, it will be much deserved.
I agree with Julianne that the dance was made for Tamar, because this was absolutely perfect to work with her abilities and her expressionless face while dancing.
They clearly are trying to vote Alek out because he has the votes…They saved weaker dances for the harder weeks and even though Andy is doing good he doesn’t have the votes so they overscore him.
I was a little bored by Tamar/Val and did not agree with the perfect score.
Ok well just when I thought I would oy dislike one dance this week here comes Tamar and Val. There is the video, which I like, but this dance did nothing for me at all. Yeah she shines when dancing by herself and it showed but in the end I’m just going to forget abou this dance when all is said and done this season. I know that sounds a little harsh and I really like Tamar but I just was bored.
What in the holy heck is going on tonight? I don’t think Tamar deserved a perfect score at all. Did she mess up the choreography? No. But did she dance it all the way? Nope. The troupe out danced her the whole time. If you were to go back and pause it you would see all the pros fully into it and her about halfway there. she didn’t fully hit/energize everything. CAI is getting in my neeerrrrvvvveeesss.
I knew Tamar was getting a perfect score as soon as I saw she had Rhythm Nation. Now, maybe all her fans who think she’s getting screwed can be quiet for at least a week.
I’m guessing neither of the PenaVega are getting the needed votes.
Wow! This was a great show! Really good concept and execution! One of my favorites ever! Love Leah! Scores on your face!!! She is amazing! (?)
The opening number was amazing! New pros? Was one of them Sharnas BF?
Hayes was amazing and I thought he deserved at least one 9! His lifts were amazing and the flip at the end! Emma was gorgeous!
Amazing!
Andy was perfect! All 10s was right! I think this was Allisons best choreo since the Pirate Paso with Riker and better cause it wasn’t frantic or rushed! And is she really pregnant?!?!? Amazing!
Alexa is not my favorite …. But to try to do a cha cha to that song and with a snake was hard and a bit unfair when others are getting jazz (aka freestyle aka contemporary). I thought the scores were too low…. All 8s would have been better. Mark was crazy in the presentation …. As usual… But I love him cause he is fearless!
Bindi can dance anything! She was so good. I was worried about the appropriateness of the Rumba given her age and the iconic nature of the dance. But no worries!! Derek was wonderful! The lift!!!! I love him. All 10s were well deserved! Amazing!
Paula as Madonna? Um no….but Karina and Sasha…yes!!!! No cones but Short shorts….. yes!
Carlos and a rumba to magic mike….not much of a rumba which I thought was all about showcasing the female …. I wanted Channing Tatum…not Carlos. Witney wasn’t too great either. I thought this was over scored. not Amazing.
Nick as Tony! Saturday Night Live was my first “R” show. Loved it! Love the Bee Gees!! I thought that was a great dance. Really good with the samba. The Sharna spin at the end….Amazing!! Sharna and the wig from “Era night” with Noah! Scores just right for me.
Alek was hilarious as Elvis! Took guts to walk around LA as Elvis. Good for him. The dance with Lindsay was good, but I didn’t love it. Thought the scores were a smidge low. I love Alek and am worried he may go home.
Tamar singing throughout the entire routine was distracting. She really is better in the side by side dance rather than in hold. She seems so much more relaxed out of hold and then seems to tighten up in hold. Didn’t think it was a knockout and didn’t think she was indistinguishable from the other dances (sorry Bruno) and I don’t think she nailed it (sorry CAI). The perfect scores were a bit high. So not amazing for me.
Drunk yet??!?!!!! Love Leah! She and Tom together are perfect!!! Amazing!!!!
Not surprised that Paula was sent home. Time for her to go home.
Well I knew that elimination was coming sooner or later. In the next few weeks, it will be interesting to see how eliminations play out!! Leah is hilarious and I would love her permanently.
TPTB have done Alexa a solid putting her in the bottom two, she’s gonna need a rally of votes to stay next week and that should help. I think Hayes is in big trouble next week, first out, forgettable and just above the bottom two couples. People that like him will be throwing all their votes to Alek.
The right person went home, but I’m worried for Alexa next week with the low scores tonight.
With the scores, dances, and fanbases/likability, I really don’t see how anyone but Alexa and Mark are eliminated next week 🙁
It’s true, M8 – that she was in jeopardy and the lowest on the leaderboard so they might be saved. Still, doesn’t look good either.
Glad to see Paula go. Now I really feel like we’re getting at it could be anyone’s game. For the most part, everyone is on the same level, getting near-close scores. Rather exciting have it all so close.
Now is when the competition really starts. Things are gonna get intense.
PS:- I liked Andy and Allison’s routine but think it was over scored. Others were pretty much on point.
I missed everyone on All Access… What did Emma say that would break shippers’ hearts?
Hayes has not seen grease feels like a kick In the gut because it’s a classic first of all second it’s more evidence on how the true hollywood classics with true talent are often forgotten and lastly just how bad the movies now adays have gotten
If Hayes has never seen grease then he’s most probably never seen dirty dancing , singing in the rain, flash dance , footloose (1984) , tophat etc… I’m 18 and u have seen the movies over a gazillion times becuse that’s what I call true talent and I’m so thankful for derek because he is the incarnation of all these wonderful movies and beyond. He makes me believe that there’s still hope of bringing back the old style talented hollywood , not the naked skanky hollywood it is now.
I too am worried for Alexa. I thought her scores were low, IMO she didn’t deserve a 7. I thought it would be between Alexa and Andy but with the perfect score Andy received I’m far more concerned for Alexa.
Does that mean the team captains will be Bindi/Derek and Tamar/Val since they have the highest overall average?
From next week I’m going to cry with every elimination. There hasn’t been a season where I liked everyone in the top 8. Dang it. The right person left tonight. I cried when Alexa broke down. I don’t know how I’ll handle next week.
A bit of topic but I hope iJustine was there by producer invitation. She was on AllAccess, no one on here probably knows her (youtube star) but if she was to do DWTS I’d probably freak out.
I’m glad Paula went, it was a week or two overdue for me. I do feel like Andy might have done enough to survive next week although he did get a rough spot in the running order. I think those tears Fig might encourage people to vote for her. Carlos got a really positive VT as well which I think will help his votes. I just can’t look beyond Hayes for next week, he’s sleepwalking towards elimination and unlike Alek I don’t think he has the demographic votes to pull himself out of a bad hole. I could easily be wrong though and his fans are as strong as Bachelor Nation.
Also, I almost never watch the actual eliminations but because I was watching live and not on the DVR (for once), I saw Mark and Alexa and her reaction broke my heart a little. I do like her a lot in spite of this weird season, and I would prefer she stay at least a few weeks longer.
I loved Bindi and Tamar dance tonight. But I didnt like Andys dance as much as i thought i would.
Also, I thought the judges were a little paddle happy with the 10’s… and then pretty stingy to the other half. This is was an irritating show for me. I’m looking forward to a more consistent episode.
Gawd, that had to be one of the best shows DWTS has ever done (imo). I was hoping for huge productions and for an iconic dance night and it was. Wowwww!
My three faves: Derek & Bindi, Sharna & Nick, Tamar & Val! All powerhouses out there!
There were some really good dances tonight, but for fairness some of the 10’s could drop down and the 7’s for Alek and Alexa could come up. I think they both deserved slightly higher scores. It really looked like the judges were trying to separate the contestants into two distinct groups, with Hayes, Alek, and Alexa being in the bottom (after Paula’s elimination).
So much backup dancing tonight that the troupe couldn’t handle it all. We saw Robert Doldan as one of the back-ups for Paula’s dance, shorts and all, and several others I didn’t recognize. Was that a special group who backed up Tamar and Val? Somebody above mentioned Rhythm Nation.
I did not like Tamar’s dance….or her in the package. I hate that “No matter what I do, it’s wrong…” attitude. Take feedback and grow. Still horrible in hold. And sorry, I know that dance isn’t Val’s alley but some of the stuff he threw in was weird to me. Where Derek captured the magical nuances of the Dirty Dancing dance, a few of my favorite rhythm nation moves were missing. She’s the one I wish would go home next week!
Also, I think any star could have done Rhythm Nation justice (well, not so much Paula ;)) But can you picture Tamar doing any of the other dances from tonight?
Sorry, not a hater! She’s just rubbing me wrong, and everyone else is rubbing me really right! Don’t want them to go!
Alexa might be helped by the tears….totally got the mom votes from me! 🙂
Those judges always underscore Mark and his celebrity. That chacha was fantastic and again, all the judges want to do is find something wrong with it. And now I am beginning to think that those judges have something against Mark and something against Alexa and Carlos. I am saying this because someone spoke out on it on social media. I don’t know what the judges deal is with Mark, but I hope Alexa and Mark and Carlos and Whitney make it to the finals.
@Fancy…I am with you on that one. I muted their package, when Val started with his sympathy crap.
I really didn’t like the dance at all or the music; but Tamar did keep in sync; but all it seemed to be was stomping and stepping. Where was the Jazz part of it.
1st favorite was Dirty Dancing w/ Bindi & Derek
2nd favorite was Jailhouse Rock w/ Alek & Linday
3rd was Grease w/ Hayes and Emma
4rh was Saturday Night Fever w/ Hick and Sharna
5th was Good Morning (Singing in the Rain) Andy & Allison
6th was I’m a Slave for You w/ Alexa & Mark
7th was Pony w/ Carlos & Witney
8th was Rhythm Nation w/ Tamar & Val
9th was Vogue w/Paula & Louis
I think all the dances were pretty good and loved how close the scenes, props, and costumes were to the original movie dance.
@PHeidi, I agree that Val is better off with his mouth zipped.
Ooh, I consider myself a big Alex and Lindsay supporter, but I have to say he didn’t come across as well to me tonight — more swearing, more of a sour attitude, and seeming distracted and just a bit over it. Lindsay actually seemed a tiny bit perturbed and less effusive, too. The following is just my imagination in warp drive, but from what an earlier poster mentioned regarding Emma’s cool about Alek in her All Access spot, maybe his attitude seeming a bit off is related to being disappointed about where he and Emma’s relationship dynamic has gone. Let down city is a rough place to visit. I’m surprised I’m saying this, but I’m gonna throw some/all of my votes to Alexa — I think I’m still high on her and Derek’s chemistry and dance from last Monday, plus her tears at the elimination drove deep into my compassion center. The night overall didn’t quit live up to my high expectations, but there were some high points that were very cool. Won’t say more. This is long enough.
My three favorite dances of the night are: Nick/Sharna, Carlos/Witney and Andy/Allison (even though a 40 might have been a little overscored).
I just watched Dirty Dancing for the first time last night so that movie is still fresh in my mind, and I thought Bindi and Derek did a wonderful tribute to that famous dance scene. Perfect score well deserved IMO! And their package should have gotten a 10 too – that water scene was hilarious (so unromantic!).
I thought Nick killed his SNF Samba – should have been all 10s IMO. WTF CAI.
I’m getting a little worried for Alek and Hayes. I think Alexa’s going to be eliminated next week, but after that… I think it could be either one of them. I hope I’m wrong though – I would love to see those two as well as Nick and Bindi make it all the way to the finals.
And finally, I thought Leah did an “amazing” job as co-host! 🙂
What Tamar & Val did for Rhythm Nation was amazing! They did the video and the dance moves justice. Sure, she’s not as sharp as professionals, but she held her own and was on time, especially with less practice time. Like Tony said in All Access, one wrong move in this kind of dance and its glaringly obvious. Loved it!
Knowing that Paula was going home would it have hurt them to give her 7’s? She did what Louis gave her.
Overall the dances were far above any expectation I had, starting with the opening number. (was that Mandi Moore?) I think only Alexa fell a bit short for me. Can’t wait for Halloween night and the team dances.
Lee, I don’t know about Tamar and Val, it was too dark for me to see but the guys in Carlos’ number weren’t troupe, they are backup dancers of Christina Aguilera.
Boo flippin Hoo, Allyson. It’s not fair that Bindi and Derek were assigned a rumba to a song that is clearly salsa or mambo and THEN were told they had to do as much of the original choreo as possible. Take it up with the producers if you don’t like it. Your argument is ridiculous, all things considered. Including the fact that so many got Jazz and not a ballroom style – which is a license to freestyle.
Alek was not hosed that badly – and it’s a good thing he had Jive this week because now he won’t have to do it again and it’s clearly not his dance. This is a good thing.
I’m kinda hoping that the combo of a killer dance with Derek and being in jeopardy will save Alexa and we’ll have the shocking elim of Carlos. Doubtful, but I can hope until I look at the numbers anyway.
Whitney, she was just not sounding like someone with the hots for Alek – talking about how she wanted to be with *her* partner and not big on the switch up. She called Alek one of her best friends, etc. That may have just been her deflecting to keep her stuff private and to deflect attitude from Hayes fans. I just thought it was kinda funny and not at all what people were hoping to hear. 🙂
Tonight was a little disappointing for me. First off I didn’t care much for the theme of the show. Very overwhelming with all the staging and backup dancers. Couldn’t really focus on the celebrity and their pro partner. This would never have taken place if Len was still judging.
Secondly the scoring was all over the place. Why so many 10s? I didn’t think Tamar, Andy or Nick deserved all 10s. Why did they low score Alexa with two 7s? She definitely deserved at least all 8s. Carrie Ann has really been hard on Alexa and Mark from the beginning. Let’s get back to the real purpose of this show, ballroom dancing.
PH-What are your three favorite dances tonight? Just curious.
Anyone else thought it was cruel towards Mark to put his switch up partner and real partner in jeopardy? Felt bad for the guy.
I wouldn’t be too harsh on Alek, Christian – he’s been underscored two weeks in a row now. I don’t think he’s a fabulous dancer, but he’s better than the 7’s he got last week, for sure. And he’s definitely not a performer.
Kaitlynn, I’m on the verge of going to bed because I’m siiiick. I’ll have to watch it again to decide what I liked the best, besides Bindi. I thought most of them did a pretty decent job. The problem is that the people I really LIKE as people didn’t have the best dances tonight, and the people I like less well had really good dances tonight. So, I will defer my top three until the morning when I hopefully feel better. 🙂
Oh, I forgot – I really loved Andy’s dance. The way they danced it, the way it was staged, the choreography – all of it. So, Bindi and Andy are my top 2 – for now. I reserve the right to change my mind in the morning.
I have to confess – I am starting to wonder what they have against Mark. Alexa’s dance wasn’t a 7.
@PH I can imagine all the attention from last week was a lot to handle for Emma and Alek. Plus, Emms is Hayes partner and her job is to keep him in the competition, so she really can’t publicly push Alek too much. I would’ve loved to hear all about their steamy romance, but if they actually are involved, I can understand why they’d want to play it cool for a while. But if they aren’t involved at all, I would be a little disappointed- I’m still reeling from the Amy and Sheldon breakup.
I thought Alexa was underscored a bit. Do they want her gone? I knew she wasn’t going tonight. When Carlos or Alexa is eliminated, I’m sure it will be the two of them in jeopardy. She certainly looked like she expected to be eliminated, though.
To be honest, I don’t think Latin as a whole is Alek’s bag. That’s paso, rumba and now Jive that he’s not got good scores. He desperately needs a ballroom dance next week to get back on track. Samba or Salsa would be very bad for him. It’s halfway through and the point where dancers like Alek with no performance background will struggle. I still think he can make the final, but I’m seeing less and less chance of him winning now. I feel sorry for him though because obviously the Roseburg tragedy and his best mate getting stabbed has completely thrown him off course.
@M8- I completely agree. I’m also beginning to think the media scrutiny is taking its toll. He’s not someone that’s well versed in PR and all the attention, both good and bad, is probably quite a bit to handle.
I don’t like seeing people cry but I found the interaction between Alexa and Mark during the elimination – with Alexa crying in Mark’s arms and Mark trying to comfort her – really endearing. They probably got a few more votes but I still think she’s going to be eliminated next week. Her and Mark’s dance was one of my least favorites of the night – and that has mostly to do with Mark’s hair and costume (I found it really distracting). I didn’t think it deserved 7s but regardless, I still wasn’t a fan of that routine.
Even though I’m not a fan of Carlos, I thought it was odd why the producers made him dance to Magic Mike when he was very vocal about being uncomfortable with it. But having said that, I thought his and Witney’s dance was actually pretty good – MUCH better than what I was expecting, that’s for sure.
Anyways, I hope you feel better PH.
So excited to see Robert from SYTYCD dancing tonight in Paula’s dance! I would love for him to be a regular on DWTS! He is so likeable and talented and handsome! I wonder if he can choreograph?
You’re right, Princess Heidi. And here I was talking about Alexa going deep into my compassion core, I reckon that I should make a bit of room in there for Alek, too — I’ll give him a third of those votes that were all going to Alexa, although she may need them WAY more.
Also, the point about Emma perhaps taking into account Hayes’ fans makes sense — Emma is a smart woman, and I think she is really trying all she can to move them along in the comp in every way.
So maybe there’s still hope yet for little Emlek babies. Darn my unchecked warp drive of an imagination!
#130 and #133 Whitney Also, probably right on as to Emmas’ perceived cool on Alek. And I’m really starting to feel like a heartless bas…err, guy now for my take on him tonight. Thank you though, I needed that.
#132 M8 Ditto on the heartless part from the paragraph above. I really am feeling like a bit of a jerk, but in a good and constructive way. :o)
Hmm, I’m starting to feel better about the whole night now. 🙂
#134 Jane Just read yours before hitting submit. I am in TO-TAL agreement as to Mark’s look — PH described it as Lost Boys. Yeee! Cringe. And on Carlos and TPTB: drama. Discomfort is a good thing to them. Sigh.
I’ll add my well wishes, too, PH
Tonight was the first week this season that I really did not enjoy. It’s impossible to live up to the original big production numbers and it showed I thought. I don’t think anyone did terribly, but not 10s either. If I had to pick a a favorite, I would probably go with Andy and Allison.
Bindi and Derek were definitely my favorites tonight – that was a great routine and so glad the lift was a success.
I thought Hayes was underscored and Andy a little overscored. Alexa underscored as well. I give her props for dancing with the snake – that’s something I’d never do. All I could think of when I saw Mark was he looked like Fred Flintstone!
Normally, I’m not a fan of Carlos, but I thought he did a good job tonight.
Loved Paula’s costume, along with Karina and Anna – the judges scores were pretty harsh, but guess it doesn’t matter since it was her time to go.
Although I enjoyed the dances and the music tonight I wasn’t crazy about the theme since no one really had to do the dance style they were assigned.
Am I the only 1 that thanks tamer is gonna be the 1 ousted next week she’s been the weakest dancer for the past 2 or 3 weeks now besides paula but now that paula gone tamer is the weakest then the following week will be Carlos turn to be kicked out of the ballroom
Hayes or alek will be the next after Carlos
Top 2 most defintly bindi as the winner and nick as runner up with either alexa and andy 3 or 4
I am still not over the fact Bindi got a perfect score for a not so perfect routine, while Nick’s Samba was the best of the night yet did not have a perfect score? I see some kind of agenda going on here -low-balling Nick while overpraising Bindi? TPTB clearly pimping Bindi and Derek. #fix #manipulation
Don’t get me wrong, i love Bindi too, and i thought her contemporary dance deserved all 10s but not this one! She was wobbly in a lot of places, lacked smoothness, the iconic lift was not executed properly..looked unsteady (Derek’s hands were shaking). With so many flaws, that was not a perfect dance thus did not deserved perfect score! Nick, despite being flawless got screwed over (once again!) with nasty CAI’s stupid comments and one point less than Bindi.
I loved Andy’s dance the most and it seemed so complicated compared to Tamar’s dance who basically marched in place while he had to go from set to set using kitchen counters, unstable stairs and couches! He was fantastic! (I was nervous about the stairs since they moved whole he was dancing on them and they were too narrow for his long legs! So many things could’ve gone wrong!)
Of course, I loved Bindi’s routine and so glad they executed the iconic lift! Whew!!
Alek and Alexa got hosed! What the hell? I don’t understand it at all. I thought Alek did really well wih the routine and performance! It didn’t deserve any 7’s at all.
Alexa’s dancing looked a little sloppy and she didn’t look confident when she dances by herself but she can’t really blame Mark for everything. Now the judges are messing with her mind to bring down her confidence even more by giving her lousy scores. At least the Team Dance will be positive for her!
Carlos and Tamar’s dances were over scored, IMO. Geez, really?
It was Paula’s time to go but thoroughly enjoyed her last routine and she vogued pretty well, I thought! My favorite part was seeing Robert as part of the troupe!
I am hoping maybe Hayes will go next? Producers probably want Alek to go next since he’s getting underscored the most by the judges.
I thought Mark and Alexa deserved higher scores. Why do they seem to pick at Mark so much these past few seasons?
I thought they picked too much at Alek too!! I mean come on…this night was just for fun. None of the celebs or dancers could fill the shoes of the characters perfectly in the movies or videos exactly. I was really hoping to see Alek in the finals. Now I’m starting to worry it will be Tamar instead. I hope he has a big comeback next week.
I think it’s really unfortunate that for 2 weeks in a row, Alek has been hosed by the judges. The fact that Oliva Newton-John contributed to that low scoring this week still shocks me. I truly hope he has the comeback week he needs and CAI see’s him as the “contender” that so many of us already do. Like you Vogue, it does make me a tad nervous because at this rate / scoring, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tamar edge him out.
#135 Heart, I didn’t know Robert was in Paula’s dance. He’s an awesome dancer. I’ll have to go and re-watch it.
Actually there were a lot of dancers in the ballroom that I’ve never seen before. I felt like screaming ” Who are these people!” quite a lot.
Vogue, I’m with you in worrying that Alek might not make the finals and Tamar will. I really don’t understand why the judges seem to be harsher on him. Same with Alexa and Mark.
Seeing her crying while in the bottom two was not pleasant. She also seemed to tear up a bit during judging. Maybe she’s starting to crack under pressure. Being a contestant on the show isn’t for everybody.
I thought Tamar’s movement in the first 30 seconds or so of her dance seemed slightly sluggish and anemic. She did get sharper as the dance went on. I don’t think she should have gotten a perfect 40 though.
I have to admit that I’m not a Tamar fan. I feel like she doesn’t really want to be there and her personality grates. So this bias is coloring how I feel about her performances.
While I like Olivia Newton John, for me, she didn’t add anything to the judges table. If they must have a guest judge , I prefer someone with a dance background who can contribute more than “You were amazing!” or “I loved it!”. Plus, she gave Alek a seven, so she’s on my s***list! ?
Let’s get Kenny Ortega back. Or Mary Murphy. Or my dream guest judge, Karina!
The production crew did a really incredible job with all the sets and lighting. Kudos to them.
If you concentrate on Bindi’s feet, it wasn’t quite 10 worthy I don’t believe. Very nice (I totally enjoyed it), but…. I rather think that the seminal status of their dance, and Bindi as the people’s sweetheart (rightly so), likely were the more motivating factors in their perfect score. And with Andy and Allison, although rather impressively executed (those stairs, whew) and nicely clean though it was, without a pretty evident and hard to ignore mess-up, it was kinda-sorta destined for perfection as well. The dance was even lauded as being considered by many people the “best” by Bruno, and one of the “all time” personal favorites by Julianne. Oh, and not to forget CAI and her superlative “biggest shoes to fill” comment. That had ’10’ pretty much emblazoned all over it. Like that’s never happened on this show before. Uh-huh. I appreciated both a lot (ranked among my 3) and will, for sure, be rewatching both several times.
So, no complaints really, except for poor Alexa. She always makes me feel like I want to give her a hug of reassurance. And those tears at elim. Gulp. That hurt my soul. A lil’ bit, a lil’ bit. 🙁
@PDS #140, I said the exact same thing to my mom. I am not intending to be harsh or play favorites, I love Derek and Bindi, but she looked very stiff when they were doing the walking on the floor bit (after jumping off the stage), her feet slipped multiple times, and she was very tense and not fully extended on the lift. They did really really well, I understand that the lift is hard and scary, and I still thoroughly enjoyed the performance, but I did not think it was perfection.
I think the difference with her and Nick (and this happens often on the show) is that they were not expecting anything of Bindi before the show started, so when she does well, they are still surprised by how much of a dancer Derek has turned her into in a short time. With Nick, they were expecting the world, so they are extra (mainly CAI at this point) hard on him. I also suspect he may be getting more votes than they anticipated.
While judging the journey and progress is absolutely part of it, there comes a point where you have to be harsh on the technical critique. I think the paddles are going to get interesting across the board over the next few weeks.
I also think that, after going first with nothing really memorable happening (in the rehearsal footage, dancing or scoring), Hayes may be in some trouble next week. I agree that Paula should have had some 7s, too, bc she did well with what Louis gave her – unless Alexa was in so much trouble that they had to underscore Paula to ensure she left.
I don’t think any dances last night were 10s, actually. But if you’re going to give Andy a perfect score, you pretty much have to give Bindi one as well. Tamar? Not so much. And Nick wasn’t a perfect score either, but since he didn’t get one, I’m fine with that.
Where the disconnect was, for me, was at the bottom of the leaderboard. If you give Bindi, Andy and Tamar perfect scores, Alexa wasn’t a 7 and neither was Alek. But then, they’ve never been good at scoring the dancers relative to each other. For those who got perfect scores, I was fine with it – the producers assigned dance styles, songs and even production, so the judges HAVE TO be more lenient. But the bottom of the leaderboard didn’t get as much of the same consideration. That’s where the problem lies. I don’t begrude anyone a 10 for last night, all things considered, but the 7s were way too harsh. Even the 6s for Paula were too harsh.
Susan2, I first noticed Robert in Paula’s pre-dance package! He was also in Tamar’s routine too. He may be in the opening too but haven’t watched it back yet. I hope he’s on more often! He’s a way better dancer than Keo!!
Argh!! I guess the manipulations have started which is why Alexa, Alek and Paula got hosed. They are the producers list of who they want to go next. Tamar must not be getting votes so they of course want to keep Val around so over score them. I was surprised that Olivia was harsh as well. I thought the guest judge isn’t usually in on the TPTB’s agenda. I’m surprised Carlos is favored over Alexa. I’m pissed that they treat Mark so poorly.
@Heart – several comments.
My wife and I also really enjoyed Robert Doldan tonight as well, and I agree that he’s better than Keo as a dancer, IMO. I don’t know about his teaching, but look at the difference between Lindsay’s first celebrity and this year.
I didn’t spot him in Tamar’s routine, the staging was too dark.
I don/t understand what the judges want of hayes. they always make a big deal about others never having danced before but hayes is only 15. I think they forget about that. Also, I see hayes trying to do what the judges ask of him the week after. As for alek, I think he is not being hosed. He is not doing any worse, simply not progressing at the rate the judges expect. I will not comment on whether these expectations are fair or not. Tamar is a good single performer. She pretty much performed without Val which is nothing new. I think she did well but not worth all 10’s.
Agreed, PH. I’m still baffled by Alexa especially. I could see if she had received straight 8s (even a 9 thrown in there), but I was NOT expecting the 7s. Can’t wait to see how the next few weeks play out. We may be headed to a push for “which married couple will make the finals” drama.
Seriously I did more screaming at the judges tonight, I swear they are totally useless and I mute when CAI starts to talk. And why was ONJ on as a just – oh right she was on to promote a song with her daughter, she had nothing to add at all – you were great, you were amazing, you were blah, blah, blah. Enough with the guest judges who contribute absolutely nothing. I say get rid of the judges and just rely on viewer votes.
My favorite of the night was hands down Andy and Allison, he was in the words of Leah “AMAZING”
Close second was Nick and Sharna – brought me back to my disco dancing days.
Then comes Tamar and Val – I am not a fan of Janet Jackson but I loved all the precision in the dance.
Hayes and Alek were so darn cute. Alek was spot on with the Elvis getup and I give him props for actually going out in public all dressed up. Take it from someone who goes to Las Vegas twice a year and sees an Elvis show each time, he was fantastic.
Yikes Mark was not happy at all with the comments and scores they got, which I thought were a bit low.
How was “Pony” an iconic dance, and Whitney was barely in the routine.
I am tired on Dirty Dancing, I have seen the movie about a 1000 times and I can’t remember how many times it has been part of the show.
Glad that Paula is finally gone from my TV.
Yeah I’m not sure why all the Mark-hate from the Judges…he is really one of the better choreographers on the show…MUCH better than Keo and even Artem imho. I loved their routine to Slave 4 U and the snake? I’m with Courtney…they should’ve used Bindi to be the snake whisperer because she’s really good at it.
I watched all the dances on youtube this morning. I LOVED Alek’s Jailhouse Rock number. Lindsay has done wonders with him! Really, she has. And for CAI to say he’s not a contender?? I’d disagree with that. I still have him in the top 3…because he’s an American Hero…has had crappy stuff happen to him in the last few weeks…and seems like an all-around nice guy! Tamar’s Jazz was Ok…definitely NOT perfect-score worthy. Nick should’ve gotten a perfect score, no doubt! I LOVED his routine….thought Carlos’s Rumba was alright…I’ve never seen Magic Mike and now I know why :/
It’s obvious from the beginning of this season that Bindi and Derek are the frontrunners; and deservingly so. They deserved all 10’s for just attempting that “lift”. However Tamar and Andy, I don’t think so. There was very little dancing in hold. Andy and Alison did more running around to different sets, and Tamar and Val, I don’t know what that was. She definitely does not do well in hold so give her a Jackson song and let her dance on her own.
As for Alexa and Mark and Alek and Emma those “7” were uncalled for. Alexa should have been given all “8” and/or at least one “9” for just dancing with that snake. I don’t know many who would have done that. This husband and wife thing reminds me of Charlie White and Meryl Davis. The judges hosed Charlie on every dance. They are doing the same thing with Alexa and Carlos. TV drama sells! I hope Alexa doesn’t lose her confidence and is not eliminated next week. I would rather Carlos go first.
Oops sorry wrong partner. I meant Alek and Lindsay.
I don’t think anyone should have gotten 7’s except Paula. It is a little early for 3 couples to get a perfect score in week 6. What Bindi & Derek did in their dance was amazing and deserved the higher score.
All in all, I loved the whole night and the dances. I’m so proud of our Pros for creating such good choreography to go with the Movie song they were given; and the celebs all worked hard and did really good.
I also have noticed the judges not be as nice to Mark. I like Mark and I thought he did a great job with Paula in Switch Up. If Alexa can kept her confidence up, and mind off her hubby, Mark may get to do some good dances in the next weeks, if she isn’t eliminated.
I think the judges scoring this season is so off sometimes. They certainly do not affect my voting one bit.
