GMA Announces Jodie Sweetin To Dance On Dancing With The Stars Season 22
As reported to you in an earlier spoiler in the Couples post, Jodie Sweetin is dancing on Dancing With The Stars Season 22. Also, her partner is Keo Motsepe. Below is video from Good Morning America today with the announcement. Thanks to @IdolXfactor1 for being so speedy with his recordings today. To read on all of our Spoilers so far (I’m loving this cast line up so far), see this link.
Does anyone know if other cast members are going to be announced in the following days like last season? I bet They are waiting to announce Ginger next Tuesday.
They said in the new promo (just posted in another new post) that the rest would be announced on the 8th, but, you never know.
Of course, Jodie’s absolutely lovely. I hope she’s not too disappointed to be dancing with Keo and that they develop a good partnership and enjoy their journey together. She might have wanted Val, but after she’s been around him when he’s in intense competition mode (all impatient and yelling at his celeb), she might be very grateful to have ended up with Keo instead.
I think they’ll make a good team. But since it was assumed she’d be with Val I wonder who his partner will be or if he’ll be back.
@Narice – You might get your answer if you read the spoiler post at the top of the main page 😉
She seems so excited and I’m so happy she’s in the cast. Easily a favorite of mine. Still not too thrilled about her partnership with Keo but hopefully Keo has upped his game for this season.
I think it’s interesting that she mentions that Keo is a great dancer, not a great teacher. But I also think that she might be helpful for him, because it’s easier IMO to learn how to teach when teaching a better student than a worse student, you know? So that might be really useful for him and his journey as a pro.
I love Jodie too. Really been enjoying Fuller House on netflix. Season 2 was just announced btw. Not thrilled about Keo, but willing to give them a chance. Hopefully they both grow together this season and wow us.
She’s lovely and Keo seems to be a nice guy and he wants to succeed. Shame but he doesn’t seem to feel at he’s had anything to do with that not happening to date. With a ringer like Jodie, he certainly should achieve at least the midpoint. And perhaps Jodie’s got the chutzpah to tell Keo when she isn’t getting a move or feels she needs more practice.
@Aviva (#7), While it’s definitely easier to teach someone who’s had some background in the subject, I don’t think teaching someone like that will make you a better teacher. It’s more likely to give you a false sense of your abilities, e.g., “oh, they picked that up really quickly, I must be doing a good job.” Conversely, when you teach someone who isn’t catching on quickly, it should motivate you to stretch to the limit of your abilities and find different ways to get the subject matter across to your student. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be how Keo responds. So maybe having someone who learns quickly will motivate him to focus and actually try to teach (instead of goofing off in rehearsals). At least I hope that’s what happens.
