Marla Maples And Tony Dovolani Talk On Dancing With The Stars On The View, Daughter Tiffany Comments At GOP Debate

Also, last night after the GOP debate. Tiffany Trump was asked about her mom joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars. Below is what she told the Inside Edition:
The 22-year-old was at the GOP debate to supporter her dad, Donald Trump, in Miami on Thursday night.
Backstage, she spoke to INSIDE EDITION about her mom joining the new season of the dancing show.
“She has been training hard,” she said. “She just got started but I definitely have some faith in her. She is an amazing dancer. She is a great athlete. She is ready for this.”
I have a feeling she will be like Chynna was..come out with great scores the first couple of weeks then one bad dance and age will be gone. Hope not though.
I’m getting a good feeling about this pairing. Tony seems genuinely happy and for him to say that she is doing really well could mean that she might be one to look it for. Sidenote: Tony looks like he jumped out of an old movie…which isn’t a bad thing. That outfit is very Old school Hollywood.
Sidenote: I didn’t recognize Raven at first with that hair. It looks good.
Vin, same here and wait until you see the new Marla promo (just posted in another post). This may be the first time I like Tony with someone. We will see?
I just hope that she has a LOT of say in her costumes.
@pj: something tells me that she is going to have ideas for the costumes. I kinda google imaged her and she definately has a great sense of fashion.
She does! And I hope for good costumes too and that Tony WON”T advise her on costumes at ALL. lol
@vogue: it’s so weird with Tony sometimes becuase some of the costumes turn out great like the 101 Dalmatians foxtrot and then we get some real head scratchers like that costume for his first freestlye with Melissa.
Thanks for this, Vogue! I don’t usually watch The View, but I thought Marla handled herself well. She is very well spoken. I hope she has a fun season on the show, and I, too, hope she doesn’t let Tony make the costume decisions. Hugs to you, Vogue!
I agree….the costumes he and Melissa had were pretty good in general. I think she had a hand in that a lot.

I really liked her and surprisingly Tony too (even though he blocked me a few seasons ago for saying he was jealous of Derek LOL) I agree that hopefully she will have final say on costumes. I think she might. Tony seems so happy and at peace. I like them together. Now if Rob Wade will just resist the urge to politicize her (severely doubt he will be able to control himself) I think they just might go longer than a couple of weeks. But regardless I just hope she enjoys her journey and so does her daughter.
So far I’ve liked what I’ve seen of Marla. So for her sake, I hope she at least take control of her costume choices because I think the best she can hope for is to look good in her costumes and remember her choreography. From Tony’s past history, I honestly don’t see these two lasting more than a few weeks. To last this season, I think a celeb needs to have previous dance experience (Jodie, Ginger, Paige), someone with a great story (Nyle), or someone with a strong, motivated fanbase (the footballers). Marla doesn’t fall into any of those categories. That said, I’d be happy for her to prove me wrong!
As for Tony, his past record indicates that even when he has a dance-capable celeb, he doesn’t know how to push them to succeed. He underestimates both their abilities and their emotional strength. So his choreography is usually too safe and uninspired. When he does go for a more challenging routine, he doesn’t seem to properly train/prepare his celeb, and we end up with a disaster like Chynna freezing up and completely blanking on the choreography.
I agree with you all about Marla & Tony. He lacks in choreographic expertise, and I do hope that Marla picks out her costumes. She has a great looking body and that will help somewhat along with the right costume. Maybe they will last longer than some of the others.
