New Pure DWTS Server
We just moved to a new server. If you can see this post, then you’re seeing the new server. It may take up to 24 hours or more for what’s called DNS to propagate and for everyone to see the new site. In the process, we lost a few of the comments that were made today. Sorry to those of you who lost comments. I think there were only about 10 comments lost.
Thanks everyone for your patience with the site lately. We know it’s been slow during the shows. Hopefully, this new server will be better, but we’ll see. We won’t know until traffic spikes at show time.
Also, since we moved servers, please let us know if you see anything weird. It’s possible that some stuff didn’t get transferred well or needs some tweaking. It seems like it’s working pretty well, but let us know if you see anything that’s different.
Now back to the show!
Thank you! So far, all is good at this end and I was having lots of problems previously.
I can’t wait to see if now I can connect with Pure on my IPad. But overall, a BIG Thank you! Hopefully things will run more smoothly overall.
Thanks for all your work trying to improve this site, John! The only time I had trouble logging on was during showtime. I’m seeing PureDWTS on both my iPad and iPhone, but only the desktop version, not the mobile version. Maybe it just needs more time. Thanks again for all you do!!
Thanks for upgrading the PureDWTS infrastructure! So far, so good! I’ll send in a little bug report if I see any tech issues worth flagging.
Thanks everyone. Glad it’s working so far. I’m not sure why the mobile version isn’t showing. I’ll work on that later this week. Must be a cache issue I think.
The server worked great tonight! Much much better.
My computer is old and probably out of date. But one thing I have noticed on my end is that I have to rekey my name and email for each new comment that I post. Again… It could be because my system is old.
It’s really no biggie for me at all. Just wondering if it has happened to others.
Hi Sandy,
Could definitely be an old computer. Could be your cookies as well. Maybe you’ve set it to not allow cookies or something like that? I think it remembers those things in the cookies and if your browser is set with certain settings it won’t allow cookies (which could be the old computer issue too).
