‘DWTS All Sports Edition’ Coming, Night Two Press Interviews, And More
Below are press interviews and recaps after Night two of the Dancing With The Stars finale. Lots of new tour talk and note the mention from ABC7 on the Dancing With The Stars “All Sports Edition” coming in the Spring. Too fun…
ETA: From TV Line on the DWTS Sports Edition. Is it possible these sports champions are dancing in it? This would be so cool. Be sure to read the link for more.
The 10 athletes set to compete in this spring’s cycle will be revealed at a later date.
It’s no surprise that DWTS would test the waters with a season consisting of all sportsmen and women. In its 25-season history, 10 of its champions have come from the world of sports, including former football players Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, Donald Driver and Rashad Jennings, Olympic gold medalists Apolo Anton Ohno, Kristi Yamaguchi, Shawn Johnson, Meryl Davis and Laurie Hernandez, and race car driver Hélio Castroneves.

I’m relieved that there won’t be a DWTS JR in the foreseeable future and I’m intrigued by the idea of changing things up and a possibly more level playing field! BUT then questions come to mind? I’ve read 10 couples for the Sports Edition. So what pros are dropped? Will Sasha be screwed over again? Will they find an ice dancer or gymnast for Precious?……………
[…] didn’t get to see a lot of Mark Ballas and Lindsey Stirling in the press interviews after the show last night, but, here they are as well as the other three Finalists on Good Morning America this morning. They […]
Somebody’s trying to get their money’s worth out of their ESPN investments, IMO. I do find the concept to be more interesting than Jr concept though, and will watch for sure.
It’ll be interesting to see who they have (or, for that matter, if it stays at 10—that could change).
I know that a four-week season would at least make it more likely (not at all a given, but more likely) that they land one of their dream gets in Rob Gronkowski. (As an aside, the producers said that they would want to pair him with Cheryl.)
I was hoping for an all ringer season, but there are a few who were considered ringers – fresh off an Olympic gold has been a good predictor. I’ll watch for sure.
I want Kacy Catanzaro (American Ninja Warrior) with Sasha please!
I too will be watching the spring show with all sports celebs. With all the variety of sports, it should be a good show.
Thank you Vogue, for putting up these videos. Nice to see Debbie & Alan again. I do hope that the next regular fall season of DWTS that Alan is a Pro on the cast list.
