Val Chmerkovskiy, Maks Chmerkovskiy, And Peta Murgatroyd Going On Tour (Promos, Ticket Info, Interviews)
Get Ready! Val Chmerkovskiy, Maks Chmerkovskiy, And Peta Murgatroyd have announced they are going on tour. Below they talk about with US Weekly. Be sure to see the link for more.
“We’re very excited. It’s been a couple years now since Maks and Val, the other tour that we did, and it seems like it’s going to be even better,” Maks, 37, told Us about the tour that’s kicking off in spring 2018. The brothers went on their Maks & Val: Our Way tour last summer together, but Maksim believes that this one will far surpass their previous one. “We had a phenomenal team of people, all of whom are coming back. We think this is going to be head and shoulders above even the last two that we did,” he said. “This time we’re bringing a secret weapon which is Mrs. Murgatroyd, or I guess she’s Mrs. Chmerkovskiy now.”
The Chmerkovskiy clan has expanded since the last tour, after Maks and Murgatroyd and welcomed their son, Shain, in January and later tied the knot in July. “Having shared the stage with Val was a ridiculous experience. There’s nothing better than doing it with your family,” Maks said to Us. “Bringing Peta on just makes that much more sense. I also can’t wait to tour with my family and just be on the bus with the little baby Shai and have him be part of this as well.”
The three dancers are already hard at work with rehearsals, which began in the summer and will continue through the winter. Murgatroyd, who was pregnant during the first one, is thrilled to be joining the siblings’ tour as a special guest. “I am elated. I am so gracious and happy to be part of this tour,” she told Us. “I always sort of felt that need to want to be a part of it and it was just so much fun when I was watching rehearsals that I’m super ecstatic that I get to be part of this one. It’s going to be amazing. If you loved the first one, the second one is just going to be on a whole new level.”
You can also see them talking about the new tour on GMA and Facebook below. They also performed…
And here is a promo:
Get your tickets HERE. I’d love to see it especially with Peta included in it.
Thanks for posting! Happy to see the dance was a pretty decent length (sometimes they are short on GMA). Looking forward to the tour.
Can’t wait to get tickets for this. Their first tour was amazing. I’ll have the dwts tour and the MVP tour to look forward to in 2018. It’ll
Hold me over till the new season starts lol
Does this mean that the 4 week DWTS Sports Edition will be totally Chmerkovskiy free? And doesn’t Val have a book coming out next spring? Maybe he’s doing this instead of a book signing tour.
I’m trying to get presale tickets and one of the options is the Max and Fan Presale, but I can’t find out how to get the code. Any suggestions?
Two friends and I are going on April 5, American Music Theater, Lancaster PA! We can’t wait! We saw the first one too at that venue.
Val does have a book coming out on March 6, 2018.
If the weather isn’t bad, we will do the DWTS tour at AMT Lancaster on Jan 14th or 15th. . But we have to wait until closer the time to see if the weather isn’t bad and hope they still have tickets for the show left. I want to see Jordan and especially Frankie so much!
Interesting. I support the pro’s making money between seasons and I think they likely are all doing something. Promoting dance is a good thing. However, whenever the C-Fam does something I’m curious as to motive. They have said so many negative things about the show over the years. I think this is the difference between what Derek is doing and what they do. Derek has never been negative about the show. But, he and Julianne do tours. It’s just interesting. It appears Jenna is not going with them.
@Gunny (#8)
Val confirmed that his gf is not doing the tour.
So a c-bro free mini season!
I find it very interesting that Jenna isn’t doing the family tour. Fear of appearing too committed or do you think she’s been offered a pro slot in the mine series since Peta won’t be available and isn’t Cheryl supposed to be touring also?
Jenna probably had a choice. Go with the fam and kiss goodbye to any pro spot on DWTS for the forseeable future. Or do the DWTS tour and in all likelihood get a pro spot for this mini athlete season, probably replacing Peta. I’m guessing the big gun egotistical pros think a four week season is beneath them so are going in a different direction. Fine by me, looks like this all athlete competition just became a lot more enjoyable to watch..
@Linda – it is MVPconf
Good luck! Just bought mine for Radio City in April!!
@M8
Courtney said, all of the pros had been told that they were only needed for the Fall season. They’ve known for a while that ABC was bringing in AI and going to do something different in Spring 2018. And a tour isn’t thrown together overnight, I expect the Chmerkovskiy’s timed this, and Val’s book launch, around the time that they heard they wouldn’t be on TV in Spring ’18.
And why would Jenna be important enough for the DWTS producers to tell her choose one or the other? She had a pro spot once and didn’t last long. For the DWTS Sports Edition, there will be only 10 couples. Let’s think about all of the dancers they do have to pick from
Cheryl
Lindsay
Emma
Witney
Sharna
Kym
Allison
Anna
Jenna and countless other dancers from the troupe and other countries versions of DWTS
And men
Mark
Artem
Gleb
Keo
Alan
Tony
Louis and countless other dancers from the troupe and other countries versions of DWTS
DWTS popularity doesn’t rest on any one pro or even one family of pros. Yes, some have more fans than others. But Jenna Johnson isn’t a powerhouse draw.
I’m just curious as to whether she had 2 offers, DWTS and the Chmerkovskiy’s or did Val not ask her to tour with his family?
I’m not so sure that Jenna has a choice nor would I read into it. Emma and Sasha were ENGAGED in October 2016 but did not tour together that year. Jenna is a pro/Allstar with ties to BOTH DWTS and SYTYCD. She may be contractually committed to doing both shows plus the DWTS tour. It’s still too early to count her out. It’s even possible she could do both.
Isn’t that the time that Sasha skipped the tour because he wanted to go home to Australia? And of course, Emma and Sasha were/are committed to one another. I’m just curious as to whether Jenna is on her way to becoming a Chmerkovskiy yet or if she’s still on trial. so to speak. Either way, if Jenna and Val are happy together, good for them. I just hope if things don’t work out this time, that it’s mutually decided and no broken hearts.
Maks, Val and Peta are MUCH more experienced than Jenna and likely are more popular. I’ll admit I have absolutely no idea what kind of a resume a dancer needs to have to be asked to headline a tour but I don’t think Jenna has it. For me, the fact she’s Val’s girlfriend shouldn’t be enough of a reason to have her headline the tour. But I guess that’s just me because it sure seems the C-bros get a lot of attention for their relationships.
I’m with #M8-I have a feeling the producers might’ve made it clear to miss Jenna that if she wants any hope of being given another chance at a pro spot, she better do this next DWTS tour. And I could be wrong cause I’m only assuming any ways, but with this next “mini-season” being only 4 weeks, we might not see the most pros on it? ???? Clearly the whole Chmerkovskiy clan is out b/c of this tour thing which is fine by me. But it makes me think if even other popular pros like Cheryl and Mark would bother do a short 4 week stint? ???? They might not. Which means the producers would have to tap into possibly giving somebody like Jenna a chance again-it’s only 4 weeks and we still don’t know the logistics of this short season-if it would really be a competition type thing. She might be able to handle it.
Anyway no Chmerkovskiy tour for miss Jenna-she’s gonna have to watch her P’s and Q’s a bit LOL if she wants another pro shot I think. Val also confirmed it on @gma that she wouldn’t be joining them. I caught the segment. They’ve been doing press all over NYC for this tour this week….????????????
These kind of tours just don’t happen overnight – it’s probably been planned for quite a long time. I think it’s safe to say that Maks, Val and Peta were under the impression they would have a free spring because the original plan was for DWTS Junior. When DWTS switched to a mini, athlete season, their tour was likely already in the works.
I mean really, Maks and Val give up a shot to be on TV which they need to be in front of millions, so that their studios continue to thrive? I don’t think so, although they make a lot more money initially doing the tour than DWTS.
It’s THEIR tour, Jennifer – if they wanted her there they could ask her to be there. I think whoever said she might be committed to SYTYCD was probably on target.
Or maybe she just needs a break. As for “experienced” – sure, that might be true, but it doesn’t make them better dancers. I may not be a Jenna fan, but from where I sit she’s not only the best dancer of the bunch, but the most charismatic…by far.
My thoughts on Jenna is that doing the DWTS tour might have been part of her contract when they picked her as part of the troupe again. Either that or maybe it was part of a previous contract that she dance in a number of DWTS tours. I wasn’t a fan to her as a Pro, but, I love her in the troupe and, man, like Keo, she is a force on stage touring. Be sure to see the show to see what I mean (if you haven’t done so yet).
I have tickets for March 30th in Orlando. I am a big
fan of Maks (personal taste) though I admire Derek,
Mark and the other pros also.
