DWTS Season 21 Rumors And Watchout: Lindsay Lohan, Nick Jonas, Shay Mitchell???

Sometimes “coincidences” can’t be ignored. Know what we mean? Bear with us as we explain…

Apparently, a PR person for Dancing With The Stars is following Lindsay Lohan. This might mean nothing, but, as many Dancing With The Stars die hard fans know, Lindsay Lohan has been rumored to dance in several seasons and even turned down a very lucrative offer one time according to TMZ. Even more interesting is that this PR person also recently followed Nick Jonas who has performed on Dancing With The Stars in the past, but, is it possible he could be dancing too?

This PR person is also following Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe who has been rumored to dance this season….

Are you still following? I hope so because guess what? Nick Jonas has very recently followed SHAY MITCHELL who is another celebrity rumor this season….

Heidi: The only one I see as potentially unlikely (how’s that for some odd grammar?) is Nick Jonas. Isn’t he the Jonas that is actually making some headway in a solo career?? Then again…we’ve heard casting make comments indicating that they can’t believe they got certain people. Also have to keep in mind that it seems unlikely that Nick and Shay would know the other is going to be on DWTS. It’s a bit too far out for that. Anyway, the reason I am pointing these things out is so that no one gets too carried away…but I told Vogue to write up a post because there are a few too many coincidences here. Perhaps Nick joined the show and read rumors about Shay…or there is just some young Hollywood connection going on there. It’s all very curious, for sure.

Courtney: Verrrry interesting indeed – and if I recall, it was about 5 years ago that a certain other casting/PR person at ABC followed the entire cast of season 11, about 2 weeks PRIOR to the casting announcement. So it may not be totally off-base.  Shay seems like low-hanging fruit – in other words, really wants to do the show, hooked in with both Brandt and Janel, and basically a “gimme” for DWTS casting.  Perhaps La Lohan has finally either a) gotten to a peaceful place in her life, b) is broke and needs the money, or c) both – it’s not at all unusual for a cast member to be rumored for YEARS before they actually turn up on the show.  As for Nick – kinda on the fence about this one, but his brother did do Celebrity Apprentice last season, so perhaps that took away any potential stigma…he also recently broke up with his girlfriend of two years, so maybe he has a bit of extra time on his hands? 🙂 But if I recall, he is on a show on another network…maybe he’s another Amber Riley-type situation? I’m kinda excited if they really did manage to cast him – dude has…matured well.  And makes me feel like a bit of a dirty ol’ lady 😉

DWTS Season 19: Lindsay Lohan To Dance And More Celeb Rumor Talk?

I really wish Lindsay Lohan would dance, but, like all the previous rumors on her in the past, I bet this won’t happen. Below is more from Hollywood Life. Note that Gossip Cop is saying this won’t happen as well, but, hey, it’s interesting they keep pursuing her (if true) and we report on everything just in case.

The Dancing With The Stars cast will officially be revealed on September 4, but as the celeb contestants are shaking up, HollywoodLife.com has learned that the show is pushing to get Lindsay Lohan on the dance floor! The best part? One of her Mean Girls costars is already confirmed!

HollywoodLife.com has been giving you Dancing With The Stars scoop all week long, and here’s the best one to date…even though it’s not set in stone.

Lindsay Lohan is at the top of the show’s wish list. Although she is in talks to join Season 19, it’s not looking all too promising.

Unfortunately, we’ve learned that the chances are “less than 10%,” at this point, but the show is still trying.

ETA: Not sure how creditable Hollywood Life is (since they’ve been wrong a lot in the past), but, this morning they are reporting more on the existing rumors we’ve heard about, plus, a special mention on Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray. You can read more at the link.

Bachelorette Andi Dorfman is reportedly joining DWTS, along with Josh Murray, HollywoodLife.com exclusively revealed. Our source tells us, “They will compete against each other along with the other stars.”

Hmm? Ok, we will soon see.

DWTS Season 17 Watchouts: Britney Spears And Lindsay Lohan??

Just a few more Dancing With The Stars rumors and watchouts to add…though mark these in the highly “skeptical” department.

The first is Britney Spears!! Today she tweeted that she was rehearsing for something “top secret” next week. The tweet reads as follows….

Taking a quick break to say hi to all my tweeps 🙂 Rehearsing for something top secret happening next week… #WERK

It’s most likely something music related (a new single or a Las Vegas gig?) in my opinion, but, her official site raises a even more eyebrows being there is a countdown to a date that is the same as the premiere of Dancing With The Stars. So coincidental.

Secondly, there is speculation as to why Val Chmerkovskiy is now following Lindsay Lohan at his twitter? As you know, Lindsay has been rumored for several seasons. She’s got her life together now and she’s never looked better. So, is it possible she’s dancing? Though this past week, Lindsay has been seen in New York City instead of Los Angeles. So, not sure how true this could be? But, could it be a possibility for next season like we reported in this post recently?

Heidi: Yeaaahhhh….I’ve seen the Britney one is starting to spread over the Internet, and Vogue isn’t the only one to ask me about it. I just can’t believe this show would be able to get either of these women. It kinda boggles the mind. I suppose Lindsay is currently the more needy of career rehab at the moment, but still. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I’m highly skeptical. Highly.

Lindsay Lohan Turns Down ‘Lucrative Offer’ From Dancing with the Stars

If true, I’m sad. I’d love to see Lindsay Lohan dance and a what a cool way to show another side to herself than what tabloids report!!! I love her as an actress and nothing will change that. Below is more from TMZ for how Lindsay turned down a huge offer from Dancing With The Stars!!

Lindsay Lohan’s ego might be her downfall — because TMZ has learned, she just shut down a lucrative offer to do “Dancing with the Stars” … because she doesn’t want to do reality TV.

Sources close to Lindsay tell us, the actress was made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season — offers that maxed out at $550,000.

But Lindsay — who still owes hundreds of thousands in back taxes — shut them down, telling friends she’d never consider doing reality TV … she wants to stick to films.

DWTS Watchout (Again): Dina Lohan Wants To Dance

As some of our long time readers know, Dina Lohan has been rumored to dance in past seasons of Dancing With The Stars. Will this season finally be her chance? Time will soon tell. From Wonderwall via Page Six. Be sure to see the link for more.

Lindsay Lohan’s mom told Page Six that she’s been working on her fitness so that she’ll be considered for “Dancing With the Stars,” noting that she’s a “huge fan” of the ABC show.

Dina’s online-only boyfriend, Jesse Nadler, is also getting in shape, but his fitness is more of a personal choice.

“Jesse was the driving force to seriously get in shape for ‘Dancing With the Stars,'” Dina said. “It’s a dream of mine.”

Indeed, Jesse, whom Dina has dated off and on for six years but never met in person, credits himself with Dina’s new fitness motivation.

“I have talked Dina into a strict health [regimen],” he said. “It was the only way I would give her a chance with me.”

ABC has given no indication they plan on casting LiLo’s mom for the show, but the network doesn’t comment on casting until contestants are officially announced anyway.

Even if the call from “DWTS” producers never comes, Dina says getting healthy is worthwhile.

This isn’t the first season Dina has said she’d like to dance. She was overheard saying the same in Season 13 and it was said she was also in talks with producers.

So, what do you think if this were to happen this time? If I can’t have Lindsay, I’d take Dina and watching her dance with Maks would be fun I think.

Could Dina Lohan be in talks to dance on Dancing With The Stars? According to Page Six of the New York Post, Lindsay Lohan’s mom was overheard talking about her plans to appear on the show at a party this weekend…

Dina Lohan says she’s in talks to appear on “Dancing With the Stars.” On Sunday, Lindsay Lohan’s mom was overheard talking about her plans to appear on the ABC show as she celebrated her daughter’s birthday at a private house in Water Mill dubbed the Ciroc Cabana Club. Lindsay had been expected to join, but she stayed in LA to remain low-key after completing her house arrest.

This isn’t the first time Dina has been rumored to dance. Rumors surfaced last year on this possibility as well when Lindsay suggested to producers that her mother dance on the show.

So what do you think and which dancer do you see with Dina if this comes true? Do you consider Dina to even be a “star”? As you know, this isn’t the first time the show has taken someone and made them a “star”. It worked wonders for Bristol Palin. (Not!)

Personally, I’d rather see Lindsay dance versus her Mom. The opportunity could work wonders for Lindsay’s career not to mention getting the public’s approval back on her side? If Dina dances, I see her paired with Tony. But, let’s not forget Tony said last year he’d love to see Lindsay dance on the show!

Carrie Ann Inaba Chats About Dancing With The Stars And Dating Again (Videos)

I’m beginning to understand that Bill Engvall is still on our show because there are many viewers and voters who still love the fact that our show takes non-dancers and makes them dancers. This is the heart of the show. This is what the show started off being about and continues to be about. I have to say that it was nice to read that people are still voting with that thought in mind, and that it’s not just that he’s popular, as so many people have stated. So many people want to be on our show. Not a day goes by when I’m not out in public, on a plane, in a store, or at the nail salon and someone doesn’t ask me, “When are you going to have the normal peoples’ version of Dancing With the Stars?” I really believe that out of all our contestants, Bill Engvall embodies that idea. He is your everyday guy and he’s learning to dance. And to top it off, he does it with a wonderful, positive attitude and has fun while doing it. People like that. He has an “Uncle Bill” kind of familiarity, and I think many of the people who watch our show have bonded with him because they can relate to him. And it seems like a large number of them have chosen to support him through this journey.

I can’t really argue with this.

To represent all sides fairly, there are many people who want the best dancer to win. And they are outraged by this elimination “travesty.” And as for are the judges are concerned, I can say that our job is to judge the performances from a technical and performance standpoint. We judge the dances. America can vote on the dances and the person behind the dance. The audience can vote on any criteria, and if they like someone, they can vote for them to their heart’s content.

I was upset last night NOT because Bill is still in, but because Elizabeth Berkley was eliminated. I was looking forward to seeing what she would have brought to the semifinals and finals had she made it. I just thought she would make it. She was scoring so high with the judges. I wonder if some people just assumed she would make it to the finals and forgot to vote for her. That can happen. So last night’s elimination reminded everyone that they have to vote if they want their favorites to be in the semifinals. The votes matter more than ever.

DWTS2013 Tom Bergeron Talks With E Online About New Format, Casting Rumors, And More

Awww, this is a must read! E Online chatted with Tom Bergeron about the new season of Dancing With The Stars coming up. Tom gives his views on the new format, Maks Chmerkovskiy returning, casting rumors (some of them are true and some are not true), and more. Here are some fun takes. Note the mention on Lindsay Lohan (who I’d love to see dance at some point) and some other celebs….

“Some of the casting rumors are true,” Bergeron tells E! News, “and some of them are not true at all. Some of them might reflect contract negotiations that are going in one direction or another. But nothing is final yet.”

While sources confirm to E! News that Paula Deen and Geraldo Rivera both have been approached and have passed on the opportunity, we are also told that producers are looking for a “younger and sexier cast” to appeal to a younger demo. And that cast will most likely include the return of controversial pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovsiy, the 33-year-old Ukrainian heartthrob who did not return for season 15.

As previously reported, producers approached Lindsay Lohan for season 16, and we’re told there has been some discussion of approaching her again for season 17, now that she has completed her rehab stint. However, according to show insiders, producers believe it’s in Lindsay’s and the show’s best interest to wait some time before approaching her again.

And for any confused fans, Bergeron has this to say about how the new format will work: “Couples will be eliminated at the end of the episode. But the judges votes from that night will still count. So the viewer votes from the previous week carry over and are coupled with the judges votes from that night. So they’re still dancing for their lives there.”

Tom Bergeron Interviewed About Dancing With The Stars, Wants William Shatner To Dance

Tom Bergeron was a guest on The View today! He was asked straight up about the controversial rumors of Lindsay Lohan and Lance Armstrong dancing on Dancing With The Stars. He said he’d rather have William Shatner dance instead (Me TOO!). William looked at him strangely at a recent even when Tom mentioned it to him.

The View ladies also commended Tom for his long running work on America’s Funniest Home Videos for which he is filming currently.

Unfortunately, it was a short segment. I was hoping he’d be asked on the Dancing With The Stars cast announcement, but, he wasn’t. 🙁
