Michael Irvin Sent Home on DWTS

All I have to say is, “IT’S ABOUT TIME!”

I know he had a lot of fans but I’ve never been into the NFL dancers and him especially since stayed instead of Louie last week.Β  However, I will not be bitter and will do him justice and show him some love via his best dance and best costumes!

BEST DANCE
Foxtrot: This was by far his best dance and most improved dance! And…Anna finally put in some pretty decent choreography that was on par with the other celebs still in the race πŸ™‚

BEST COSTUME
My favorite costume on Michael!!!!!!Β  I loved him in pink, surprisingly…I don’t usually like guys in pink!Β  And how could you not love Anna’s dress along side him πŸ™‚

DWTS Season 9 Week 7 Media

People Online -Tuesday’s Dancing: What You Didn’t See. Everyone give me an “awwww”. πŸ™‚

Pass the Luck: Before Aaron Carter performed the jive on Tuesday night’s dance-off, Kelly Osbourne ran onto the dance floor, gave him a hug and a good luck charm. β€œI said, β€˜Wear my lucky bracelet.’ I wear my lucky bracelet every week,” she said, pointing to her beaded bracelet. β€œ[My fiancΓ©] Luke [Worrall] made it for me.”

Flip Flop: Mark Dacascos, host of Iron Chef America, says it was a great experience working with his dance partner Lacey Schwimmer on her show. He hopes she will return the favor. β€œIt’s in the works,” says Dacascos about the possibility of Schwimmer being a guest judge. β€œI just don’t want anything disgusting,” Schwimmer joked, β€œlike animal organs that shouldn’t be taken out of an animal. I would love chocolate or the secret ingredient is sugar!”

ET on Mark and Michael leaving:

Michael/Anna and Mark/Lacey on GMA!

Awwww…I love Michael Irvin. Mark and Michael on Radar Online.

Access Hollywood – Mark and Lacey, Michael and Anna, et al.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS Week 7 Edition: THE GOOD, THE BAD, and THE INCREDIBLY HOT!

I found this week very mundane….nothing really got me going except for looking into Derek’s dream scene πŸ™‚Β  I enjoyed some of the costumes that the celebs got to design…Karina looked HOT, Anna D. looked STUNNING, and Kelly as always, so ADORABLE πŸ™‚Β  I thought Kym’s dress was all over the place, mya’s dress didn’t have enough sparkle to it, and Joanna’s had to much fabric….did I really just say that!Β  I thought her nude fabric was to much and wasn’t needed to the extent that it was used.Β  Now to the good, the bad, and the incredibly hot!

THE GOOD
I chose Aaron this week for the good routine because he’s really starting to control himself and when it does he’s just amazing to watch! I could without all the ‘bad ass’ stuff at the end and the tongue sticking out at times but it’s the performance factor for him!

THE BAD
It is getting harder every week to put someone in this position but I’m going to have to go with Mark this week. I’m putting Mark here because I felt like his dance was ALL OVER THE PLACE! You could tell that he so badly wanted to do good for Lacey and to keep up his scores from the week before. However, with everything that happened…it just wasn’t his week πŸ™

THE INCREDIBLY HOT
JOANNA!!!!!!! Is it any surprise πŸ™‚ This dance was so amazing and she did it beautifully! I can’t wait until she get’s the first 30 of the season…if she gets all the stumbles worked out!

DWTS Season 9, Week 6 Results Show

Dang, I’m putting my favorite thing first. Our pros dancing to Taylor Swift’s Romeo and Juliet song (yeah, I know that’s not the real name) – dang. DANG!! That was one of the more romantic dances I’ve seen on this show. I love Taylor and I’ve loved this song (ear worm for real) since I first heard it – but she was having an off night and I was wondering if she caught Derek’s swine flu. I can’t rave enough for Cheryl, Tony, Maks, Edyta, Jonathan and Anna. Particularly Jonathan and Anna – they look absolutely gorgeous together. It’s funny – put Jonathan out there by himself and he looks the total dork…but put Anna next to him and they are simply sublime. Lordy. This pro dance made me a bit teary eyed – I am such a sap. But the costumes, the choreography – gads. Perfect. LOVED IT!!!!

I just love these little segments – yes, I am easily entertained sometimes. πŸ™‚ Call me crazy, but I am rooting for the sequined speedo. πŸ™‚ But then, I’ve had a glass of wine and my filter is gone. Seriously, the words “Derek” and “half naked” are words I can get behind. For that matter, I wish Mark and Melissa weren’t eliminated, because I can so see Mark in high heels. πŸ˜‰ And I fear for Louis – Kelly has an evil streak that I love.

Tiempo Libre – Never heard of them, but I enjoyed them!!

Taylor Swifts new song – not as good as that Romeo and Juliette song, but not bad. Who are these dancers? The girl reminds me of Janene from SYTYCD.

More tomorrow – must go to bed!!

Hilarious Paparazzi Video – DWTS 9 Cast and Judges

Regular readers know that I’m a hypocrite when it comes to paparazzi – I have a philosophical problem with what they do and how they make their living, yet occasionally I will use something they come up with. That said, nobody seems to mind Henry the Pap – he’s too cute and he’s NICE. So, if the celebs don’t mind, I’ll go with it.

Len MAKES this video – hilarious. OMG – cocktails or age? πŸ˜‰ Little bit of everyone: Chelsie talking with gum in her mouth, Louis and Melissa being cute, Anna D. talking about her hair, Derek holding on to Joanna and his sister Marabeth and helping them across the street, Julianne, Kelly O, Louis, Jonathan and Anna T at the end.

ETA: If anyone is interested in seeing a few pictures from the party, they’re at PureDerekHough.

DWTS 9 Week 5 – Results Show Clips

Oh, there was some good stuff in the results show last night, in addition to the MJ Tribute. I really liked the “behind the scenes of a Monday” bit – kinda cool. Sure, it was all set up, but I still enjoyed seeing it.

I’m normally a big Nora Jones fan, and I liked her performances – but I can’t say it’s the best I’ve seen her:

LOVED Jonathan and Anna T’s dance to this song. Gorgeous.

Here’s a video of all the pre-tribute discussion from the pros and the Jackson family that I don’t think I posted before:

Week 5 Edition: THE GOOD, THE BAD, and THE INCREDIBLY HOT!

This was such a fun week of Latin dances!!!!Β  I absolutely adore the paso doble and the Argentine tango because their fierce, sexy, powerful, and aggressive!Β  Not to mention…HOT COSTUMES!!!!Β  I loved Natalie’s homage to the USA, Karina and Aaron’s fiery red attire, Kym’s racy black dress, Lacey’s very Karina like ruby dress, and how could you not love Kelly and Louis’ outfits πŸ™‚Β  Now for the good, the bad, & the incredibly hot!!!!Β  Any guesses πŸ™‚

THE GOOD
Aaron and Karina finally made the comeback we were all waiting for…well at least, I was waiting for!Β  It was so nice to see him as a ‘men’ rather than a wild ‘boy’ from the past two weeks!Β  His technique this week was outstanding but the only thing that got was his wrists!Β  For instances, at the beginning of the dance when he has his hands behind his back, his wrists need to be tighter and fingers together.Β  But it’s just a little thing πŸ™‚

THE BAD
All the dancers did a good job this week so it was hard deciding who to put in the bad stop but I’m going to have to go with Anna and Michael again this week. I just can’t get down with these two. I don’t know what it is about them but I will say Anna’s choreography was MUCH better this time around!

THE INCREDIBLY HOT
The only pair that I thought would fit here is Chelsie and Louie because of their chemistry. I think these dance very well together and this weeks scores did not do them justice. I understand what the judges mean when they say Louie walks instead of dances. However, for the Argentine Tango, I think Louie was right on with the slow steps, long strides, and ankle flicks! The dance itself could have been sexier but I think Chelsie is playing hard to get with Louie πŸ˜‰

The Michael Jackson Tribute on Dancing with the Stars

Wow. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel, but I really, really liked it. Nice mixture of true MJ (Derek, Mark, Lacey) and ballroom. This was a tribute to the man’s music as much as it was his dance. His music was beautifully represented in the dances – kudos to all the choreographers.

Another, clearly misguided, blogger at E! made the crack that the professionals weren’t cool enough or young enough to represent MJ adequately. HELLO???!!! Michael Jackson was a year older than DONNY OSMOND when he died. OLDER. Therefore, it stands to reason that the older pros have just as much a clue about MJ as the younger ones. I hate stupid cracks like that – admit your bias, people. I admit mine – and I don’t care for SYTYCD. There, I said it. Others prefer SYTYCD. They are two completely different shows and shouldn’t be compared – I think I wrote a blog about this a while ago. John, find me a link. πŸ™‚

Speaking of bias – seeing lots of comments on twitter about Derek as the blond MJ. Yes indeed, my favorite pro was front and center for a reason. πŸ™‚ While I generally prefer Derek’s dancing to the other pros, I thought they all were fantastic tonight – great job!!

Dancing with the Stars Season 9 – Week 4 News and Other Media

My favorite pro is very sick. πŸ™ He tweeted this morning that his whole body hurt and he had chills and sweats and that he could barely stand up. Joanna is rehearsing tonight with Maks, which would be my pro of choice if Derek had to sit out for a few days. Anyway, according to Joanna and her manager, Derek has a 104 degree fever and has been to the doctor. Hopefully he was given Tamiflu and he’ll be back shortly. Hopefully VERY shortly. Much as I like Maks, Derek’s my boy. For anyone who might have forgotten that fact. πŸ™‚

Derek and Joanna’s Lambada is one of TV’s Top 5 on AOL. Cool.

In the past I have been known to double post media here and at PureDerekHough – tonight I am very, very lazy and I’m just giving you several PDH links to LOTS of video which has Derek/Joanna content, but also has Donny, Melissa, Kelly and others.

Derek Hough and Joanna Krupa Interview Videos

This post has several print articles – I’ve quote the portions relevant to Derek, but links are included so you can read the whole articles, which are DWTS related.

The entertainment shows from Tuesday.

From MercuryNews.com:

Chuck Liddell lays into ‘Dancing With the Stars’ judges: ‘Screw those guys’

Former Ultimate Fighting champ Chuck Liddell isn’t pleased with the professional judges who helped give him the boot from “Dancing With the Stars”.

“Screw those guys,” he said. “They don’t know what they’re talking about half the time, anyway.”

While Liddell was ousted from the popular prime time show he simultaneously heard good news about his next gig β€” a role in an upcoming Mickey Rourke film.

“It’s a bigger movie,” Liddell said, adding that it was too early to reveal many details, but noting that the film had a strong cast.

Amid a flood of text messages from friends and family, Liddell spoke Wednesday about his experiences by telephone from Los Angeles, where he had been learning to dance since August. He survived into the fourth week of the show. But after he performed a two-step dance with partner Anna Trebunskaya on Monday night, the judges gave Liddell a low score of 17 out of 30 points. He was eliminated on Tuesday’s show.

Louie on TV.com – click the link to see Mark D., Natalie, and Joanna.

Oh Louis. I can see your point, but this isn’t a new issue. ABC Local LAhas a bunch of vids, click the link. I’ve put Kelly’s below cause I lurve her. πŸ™‚

I think that’s all for now. I’ll have more tomorrow. πŸ™‚
