Make A Last Minute Dancing With The Stars Season 19 Pro Wish List

The professional dancers might be starting their negotiations (or have already according to some speculation on twitter) for Dancing With The Stars Season 19. Back in June, you made your Pro Wish List, but, I thought it might be fun to do them again just in case you’ve changed your mind some (like I have). So, with that said and the new season approaching soon, what are your last minute pro wishes for Dancing With the Stars Season 19? Pick only 12 (6 males and 6 females). You can name some alternatives if you like too. Let us know in comments!

Here is my last minute Pro Wish List:

Females: Sharna Burgess, Karina Smirnoff, Elena Samodanova, Cheryl Burke, Witney Carson, Peta Murgatroyd

Males: Derek Hough, Gleb Savchenko, Mark Ballas, Val Chmerkovksiy, Armen Way, Henry Byalikov

Alternates: Nika Kljun and Allison Holker. I love Tristan MacManus too, but, I know he can’t dance in the US version of Dancing With the Stars because he will be dancing in the UK instead this season.

Louis Vam Amstel Says Pros Find Out If They Dance On Dancing With The Stars August 22nd

Louis was a guest on KTLA this morning. Like on The Talk, he talked of LaBlast and praised Kelly Osbourne. He also promotes his LaBlast convention in Los Angeles this upcoming weekend. He also talks a little on Dancing With The Stars. He mentions the pros will find out if they dance on the show on August 22nd. Then they find out who they are partnered with on August 29th like the rest of us. More below…

Chelsie Hightower Wants To Work Her Inspirational USO Experience Into Dancing With The Stars

Remember when we posted about Chelsea Hightower, Peta Murgatroyd, and Tristan MacManus’ trip to Germany to see the troops in June. Well, Zap2it has a fantastic new article up with Chelsie. Not only did these three help the troops morale, the troops helped them as well. Chelsie talks of how inspirational they were and how the experience refocused her “beyond the dance floor” and a “Mirror Ball”. She also mentions a new idea she had of working her USO experience into Dancing With The Stars. I hope producers listen to her. More below. Be sure to read the link to read the full story.

According to Hightower, the moment that impacted her the most was when she got to visit a transport aircraft taking wounded soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan to America after medical treatment in Germany.

“We actually got to stand on the plane,” she says, “as they were loading the passengers up. The wounded warriors were coming on, missing legs and with bullet holes; some of them were hurt by grenades.

“It was amazing to be able to talk to them a little bit. Just those images will remain with me for the rest of my life. That feeling I had, when they were carrying these passengers on, that these guys are giving their lives. They’re risking their lives, every single day, to fight for our country, and how noble that is.”

Hightower has also refocused her gaze on the world beyond the dance floor.

“It’s got me interested in America,” she says, “and what’s going on in politics, what’s going on in the country. It’s so important for people to know that, to know what’s going on.”

She’s also come to appreciate the freedom that has allowed a girl from Orem, Utah, to become a successful ballroom dancer and TV personality.

“I think that was God’s plan all along,” she says, ” to have freedom. To be an American, to live that way, is priceless. That is something I definitely don’t take for granted.”

The cast for this fall’s edition of “Dancing With the Stars” is set to be announced on Aug. 29, with the season premiere airing Sept. 19 on ABC. Performing for the troops made Hightower realize that it’s not just all about the mirror-ball trophy.

“It was cool to get out there,” she says, “and see what appreciation they have for us. We are realizing the people we inspire, as well. For these troops, just to have that escape, to forget about all the craziness they have to deal with on a regular basis, to be able to turn on the TV and watch something that’s lighthearted, takes their minds off it.

“I hope [‘Dancing With the Stars’] does inspire people to get out there, work their butts off and go after their dream. You can’t get by on two hours of practice and do it half-assed, because you’re not going to make it. You’ll get cut pretty quickly. It’s a show about hard work and what hard work can do for you.”

Hightower even has a notion about how to work her USO experience into the show.

“We were talking to a couple of the soldiers out there,” she says, “that we should do a soldier episode or a soldier season. It’d be so cool. So, I’ve been talking to the producers about that a little bit, nudge them, see if they’ll do it.

“Maybe [it could be] a summer special or something. We’ll see if we can do that.”

Dancing With The Stars Louis Van Amstel On The Talk “Yes, You Can!”

Yesterday, Louis Van Amstel was a guest on The Talk. Sharon Osbourne not only held the interview, she raved on everything Louis did for her daughter Kelly. She said Kelly was a “lost little girl” before she met Louis and that he turned her into a “woman”. Louis went on to say how much Kelly changed him too. He said Kelly was the “biggest inspiration ever on Dancing With The Stars”. Louis then talked a little of what they went through on Dancing With The Stars. Great interview…and touching as well. You can see part of the interview in the video below. To see the work out/dance part, watch the full episode >>>>here .

Dancing With The Stars 2011 Questionnaire #2

As promised, here is another Dancing With The Stars Questionnaire. Like the first questionnaire, answer these questions to best of your ability. Some of these question’s don’t have to necessarily be answered with your favorite dancer, but, with the best dancer to match each catagory. In fact, your least favorite dancer might fit into one of these catagories more than anyone else? Also, try to answer with just one dancer. But, you can list a few “honorable mentions” too. We also included an “off topic” question just for fun. I can’t wait to read your answers. Have fun!

1. Who do you feel is the most “compassionate” pro dancer on Dancing With The Stars?

2. Who do you feel is the most “creative” pro dancer on Dancing With The Stars?

3. Who is the “sexiest” pro dancer on Dancing With The Stars?

4. If your best friend were to hold a big birthday bash in your honor and they were to hire 4 pros or celebrites to exclusively dance, who would you want to dance?

5. If you were to have a pro dancer teach you how to dance and you were to dance on the show with him/her, who would that be?

6. Bring back the Marathon Dance Rounds to Dancing With The Stars: Yes or No?

BONUS (Off Topic Question getting to know you in other ways): What is your top five movies of all time?

Ok, I’ll start us off:
1. Most “compassionate” pro dancer: Derek! Honorable mentions: Anna and Maks!!

2. Most “creative” pro dancer: Derek! Honorable mentions: Mark and Lacey (even though they aren’t my favorite dancers and I’m not always approving of their creativity.)

3. “Sexiest” pro dancer on Dancing With The Stars? MAKS! Honorable Mention: Derek and Alec

4. If your best friend were to hold a big birthday bash in your honor and they were to hire 4 pros or celebrites to exclusively dance, who would you want to dance?: Maks, Derek, Madonna, and back up dancer Cloud

5. If you were to have a pro dancer teach you how to dance and you were to dance on the show, who would that be?: This is hard. Even though Maks and Derek are my favorite dancers, I’m not sure I’d fit well with them? I think I’d want Dmitry or Alec.

6. Marathon Dance Rounds?: YES!!! I’d die and go to heaven with another Mambo Marathon!

BONUS-My top five movies of all time?: The Last Samari, Dancing With The Wolves, Memoirs Of A Geisha, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman

Pure DWTS 2011 – A Dancing With The Stars Questionnaire!

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now and thought the off season might be the perfect time to do so. In the comment section, answer these three questions for your favorites and/or what comes to mind first after the question is posed to you.

1. From the 12 Seasons of Dancing With The Stars, who are your Top 3 dancing couples? Try to narrow it down to only THREE! But, you can list some “Honorable Mentions” too if you like.

2. From the 12 Seasons of Dancing With The Stars, what have been your favorite dances performed? Try to narrow this from THREE to FIVE! You can describe them or post you tube links to them.

3. Lastly, which 5 dancing professionals would you like to see back for sure for Season 13?

Ok, I’ll get us started;

1. My Top Three Dancing Couples on Dancing With The Stars have been Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Willa Ford, Derek Hough and Joanna Krupa, and Derek Hough and Jennifer Grey. My all time favorite would be Derek and Joanna. Honorable Mentions: Maks and Erin, Maks and Kirstie, Damian and Pamela Anderson, Louis and Kelly Osbourne.

2. My favorite all time dances:
Derek and Joanna in the Season 9 Mambo Marathon (the ending says it all!)

Derek and Joanna’s Paso Doble

Maks and Joanna’s Argentine Tango

3. 5 must see pros I’d like to see back for Season 13: Derek, Maks, Damian, Anna, and Kym!

I can’t wait to see how you answer each question. 😉

DWTS 2011 – Not All Play And No Work For The Dancing With The Stars Pros Who Traveled To Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

As well as some of our pros in Las Vegas this past week, Louis Van Amstel, Jonathan Roberts, Dimitry Chaplin, and Anna Trebunskaya traveled to Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for some fun and relaxation in the sun. They also danced for one of the nights for some lucky guests while they hosted a Wrap Party. Above is a picture of the four with Greg Louganis and One Tree Hill actress Shantel Vansanten who were also enjoying some time at the resort. Apparently, Louis injured his calf muscle during a dance on the last day, But, he was able to get some extra spa time in and hopefully, it will heal up soon. Here is a picture Anna tweeted from her twitter account too. I love her hat! 🙂

Dancing With The Stars – Karina Smirnoff And Brad Penny Set Wedding Date

People.com is reporting Karina Smirnoff and her finance Brad penny have finally set a date for their wedding which will take place on January 12, 2012 in an undisclosed, secret location in the Caribbean. At this time, Karina has six wedding dresses picked out and is trying to decide on “the one”. She reveals some more wedding plans below. I predict her wedding dress will be sexy and spectacular.

“I’m very open to the colors, the setting, the flowers. I’m very easy,” said Smirnoff, 33. “The only thing I do want is that big dress with the train. Even if it’s just me walking in a dress, I’m all good.”

Whichever dress she eventually picks will be “in the grand scheme of things,” she said.

The couple, set to hold the wedding in the Caribbean, are not revealing exactly where the nuptials will take place, only saying that it will be a “destination wedding” and quite the melting pot of cultures.

“I have a lot of family and friends that live in Europe and Israel, and Brad has a big family in Oklahoma,” Smirnoff said. “It’s going to be a very diverse, colorful crowd.”

DWTS Alumni…. Where Are They Now? Our Past Pros

Hello everyone, I’m Lori, and I’ve been a fan of DWTS since season 3, and lately, I’ve been thinking of the people that everyone came to know and love – or hate – that have been on the show since way back in the Summer of 2005.

I want to thank Heidi and John, who took my suggestion and set it in my lap… 🙂 In this series, I’ll ATTEMPT to find out what all of the DWTS Alumni have been up to, since being on the show. To make things easier we’ll start with Past Professional Dancers and, eventually, work toward the celebrities. Since there are quite a few of both this can be ongoing for a while.

With the help of some friends, I’ve compiled a list of ALL of the Pros that have been on the show since the beginning. The numbers in parentheses are the season numbers that they appeared.

*Dmitry Chaplin (8,9)
Chelsie Hightower (8,9,10,11)
*Anna Demidova (9)
*Damian Whitewood (10)

THAT is the complete list of Professional Dancers for Dancing With The Stars, but we’re just going to be talking about the ones with the star by their names.

Next, we will find out where Charlotte Jorgensen and Andrea Hale are now, and what they’ve been up to since they left DWTS! AND! I need your help… I have decided that this can be a group effort for researching…. If you know of any websites that can help, or videos or photos that we can add, please let me know in the comments.
