Heidi’s Note: Louis tweeted some other things yesterday. One tweet seemed to imply that he had a shot at the mirrorball, the other – the one below – made me laugh out loud. Dude, we good. And some of these rumors I think we found first, so I will be very curious to see if any of our guesses based on twitter will turn out to be true. Hope so. 🙂

Pure DWTS Season 12 Cast Rumors – Jodie Sweetin To Dance On Dancing With The Stars?

Ok, this is one of those long shots. But, I saw something at twitter today that peaked my curiousity. Jodie Sweetin is following MAKS. I just started following her about a month or so ago when I first heard of the rumors of her doing the show. At the time, she wasn’t following him (that I noticed). BUT, she is NOW. What’s more and if true, Jodie could be just the “ringer” Maks needs as she has been dancing since she was three years old. Read more from this November article from People below. Note too that she’d like Derek or Maks as a dance partner. However, she isn’t following Derek at twitter at the moment like she is Maks. Hmmmm??

“I really want to do the show,” Jodie Sweetin tells PEOPLE. “I just want to dance, but the fact that it would be on camera, and I’d get to have my hair and makeup done and wear those costumes? Awesome!”

It wouldn’t be the first time she’s danced on television. Sweetin, who shows off her baby girl Beatrix in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, began taking tap and ballet classes as a 3-year-old girl, and when she starred on Full House, the writers would incorporate dancing into her role.

“Stephanie was always dancing,” she recalls. “A week or two before a dancing episode, the writers would say, okay, you and your teacher choreograph a routine.”

These days, Sweetin and her boyfriend Morty Coyle follow Dancing closely, and Coyle has begun something of a grassroots campaign to try to get his girlfriend on the show.

“We saw a ‘Get Jodie Sweetin on Dancing with the Stars’ group on Facebook,” says Coyle. “And I thought, wow, all you have to do is ‘like’ this. So I started a trending topic on Twitter. It’s her dream. Hey, Betty White got on SNL!”

Of course, Dancing is on ABC, just like Full House, so “this would give them free reign to play all those clips of Stephanie dancing,” he jokes.

Should she get the call she’s hoping for, Sweetin says she’s already got an ideal partner and a favorite dance picked out.

“I really like Derek Hough,” she says. “Maks is good too – my mom loves him. But I like Derek’s style and his technique. And I really enjoy Latin ballroom. I’ve always wanted to learn the Argentine tango.”

She’ll probably make quick work of it, too.

“If I did do the show, I would ask, ‘How many hours did the winners rehearse?'” says Sweetin. “Then I’d want to do that, plus an hour. I would be that determined.”

DWTS Season 12 Cast Rumors – Is Kirstie Alley Signed To Dance On Dancing With The Stars?

Not sure if this is true or not since it’s coming from Perez Hilton. But, I am loving this news if it is true!! 🙂

As most of you know, Kirstie was rumored to dance last Season. She’s been working out and has lost a lot of weight in the last year. So, this news wouldn’t surprise me in the least. Perez also mentions Kendra Wilkinson and Wendy Williams have been signed.

We are soooo tuning in this season! This is going to be EPIC!

Sources have EXCLUSIVELY revealed to PerezHilton.com the names of three more contestants signed up for this season of Dancing With The Stars.

DWTS Season 12 Cast Rumors – Faye Dunaway To Join Dancing With The Stars

I sooo hope this new celebrity cast rumor is true! I LOVE FAYE DUNAWAY!!!! From Rumorfix.com.

Faye Dunaway is following in the footsteps of Florence Henderson and Cloris Leachman by joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars as the dancing senior, RumorFix has learned exclusively.

Dunaway, who is 70 years old, is best known in her roles in Network, Chinatown and Mommie Dearest.

The Academy Award-winning actress just wrapped up playing Maria Callas in Master Class, a movie she wrote, directed and starred in.

So, what do you think and who do you see her paired with if this news is true? I see a Tony or Jonathan pairing again. Maybe even Damian!!

Dancing with the Stars Season 12 – Speculation and Rumors, Nastia Liukin

…and Vera Wang. Shout out to Heather in the comments for the Vera Wang observation.

So, people really, REALLY believe that Derek gets all the good partners? Puh-lease – if this is even remotely close to true, it will be popular Olympian NUMBER 3 for Mark Ballas and win number 3. I will be very, VERY curious to see how people (including the other male pros) continue to believe that Derek is the favored son with a straight face if this comes to pass. Let the rending of clothing begin….

…because Nastia Liukin is now following Mark Ballas on Twitter. And we all know what that often means at this time of year. Of course, she is also following Cheryl and Julianne, but gee whiz – she apparently started following Mark in the last couple days. Those of you crying for “fairness” should be shouting now about Mark and how Nastia should go with Louis. I won’t hold my breath. 🙂 I can’t wait to see the spinning that commences. 😉 Who wants to go first?? 🙂

For those of you unfamiliar with Nastia – she is the 2008 All Around Champion Olympic gymnast. And you thought Shawn Johnson had a fanbase?? LOL

In related Nastia news, the gymnast said she hasn’t decided yet whether she’s going to compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, but if “Dancing with the Stars” came around, she might be interested in that opportunity.

“It’s a great show and I think it’s fun to be able to go outside of your element and do something that you have no idea what you’re doing,” she laughed. “A lot of people think the Olympians have an advantage with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and I think that the only advantage that they have is to be able perform in front of a live audience.

“Everything else is so out of your element,” she continued. “I’ve never taken a dance class in my life.”

As for Vera, I normally wouldn’t think much of this tweet she posted the other day, but the thing is – we have seen many instances where people are rumored in previous seasons before they finally show up on the show. She was in the audience often supporting Evan Lysacek and I do believe she is a fan of the show. It would just not be a shock to see her finally on the show as a contestant. We’ve reported rumors regarding Vera in previous seasons. Is it her time??

DWTS – Chelsie Hightower Talks About Her Current Travels, Last Season of Dancing With the Stars, The Upcoming Season and More

Who would like to see Chelsie back this Season?? This week Homorazzi.com interviewed Chelsie about last Season, this upcoming Season (she doesn’t reveal much of course), and her future “exciting” projects which include new dance studios in Utah, a new clothing line, and more. DWTS Season 12 RUMOR – Christine O’Donnell

As much as it pains me horribly to write this, I kinda feel like I have to follow our usual course of hearing something then writing about it – no matter how badly I hope and pray that this person is full of crap. Not Jennifer, who told us about this in the comments, but Christine herself. Is it April 1st yet?? Someone lie to me, please. 🙂

It really disturbs me that the producers continue to go the wacko politico route – why not a nice retired, non-tea baggy politio of any political stripe OTHER than Tea Party?? Why not stay away from politics altogether? The only ones “famous” (infamous?) enough AND willing to do the show are more than a little nutty.

DWTS Season 12 Cast Rumor – Chris Jericho Redux

Well, this guy has been rumored before – prior to Season 11 – and we did a good bit of reporting on the subject at the time, both when I found some random tweets, and when talking about how DWTS tends to typecast. There are several other articles about him on this site, if you want to do a search.

Now, it’s WrestleHeat.com’s turn to spread the Chris rumor:

PWInsider.com is reporting that Chris Jericho will be competing on the 12th season of ABC’s number one rated series, Dancing With The Stars, which starts in March. Jericho has ties to ABC as he previously hosted a game show for the network last year. The cast for the season will be officially announced on 2/28.

In my personal opinion, Chris would be a good member of the cast – why not. And for you skeptics out there, how many times have we seen old rumors become reality several seasons after the original rumor? Well, Jennifer Grey was one of many. 🙂

DWTS Season 12 – PRO WATCH!!

IT’S ALMOST TIME!!!!! 🙂

Well, it’s about that time again, folks, and even though we are having a Hough-less season I find myself very excited to start this all over again!! Last season was rough there at the end and I’m looking forward to a fresh start – the time off (mostly) did me good. 🙂 So where are we on the pros?? Well, the only thing certain right now is Derek is out. Most of the remaining pros appear to be assembling in LA, including Damian and Peta – although I’m not sure where Maks and Tony are. But do they really need to be in LA to find out?

Check back here often – we will update this post as we go. With my luck stuff will happen when I’m unavailable. But maybe Courtney and John can update if they don’t see me do something rather quickly and can’t get me online. Here’s the list we’re starting with – I’ve intentionally left out Alec and Edyta based on their tweets, but let us know if I’ve neglected anyone.

Lacey tweeted a comment not too long ago to Derek saying something like “I’m excited to be your dance class buddy” – people took this several different ways. Some thinking it meant she was out for the season and working her Dad’s studio, and Derek was participating in some way. I took it to mean that Derek was taking lessons related to his movie, and she and/or her dad was somehow involved. It could be both, I suppose, but Lacey has been abnormally quiet on the subject of DWTS and I can usually rely on her to blab. 🙂 Times like this I actually LOVE that about her. But if I find out she has a part in Derek’s movie, I may go postal. 🙂 You’ve been warned.

Cheryl and Mark fully intend to be on this season and are waiting to find out if they are or not. I think some questioned whether they would be around based on Cheryl’s book tour and Mark’s music related activities. Louis also wants to be on the show pretty badly, based on his excitement over finding out. The rest, as far as I can tell, have been pretty mum on the subject. TALK, PEOPLE!! 🙂
