Rob Kardashian Plans To Keep “Taking One For The Team” Monday Night on DWTS Quarter Finals

Rob talks of his complete transformation from being an “average joe” who knew nothing about dancing to making it to the final four on Dancing With The Stars. He’s always been a “low key, stay at home guy”, so doing this show was “wild” and “uncomfortable” for him at first. He talks of shaking his booty and “taking it for the team”. He plans to keep doing whatever his teacher tells him to do. Really cute interview. I love how much he’s grown on this show and how much he respects Cheryl. What a long way he’s come since the beginning. Here’s to Rob and Cheryl’s dances on Monday night.

ADDING: Special thanks to PureDWTS Carlos, be sure to check out Cheryl’s rules for ruling ‘Dancing with the Stars’ from HitFix. Below is a a little take, but, the link has more.

Know your partner – and hope he’s not a jerk Burke, who’s taken both Drew Lachey and Emmit Smith to the winners’ circle, claims current partner Rob Kardashian has actually been her favorite star hoofer thus far. “He’s just a normal kid, a normal kid I would be friends with,” she says. “We knew each other before the show and always got along. He’s cool and down to earth; there’s no drama with him. He still has fun with the show and we still have fun with the show together. You usually go into rehearsal and you’re sick of seeing that person’s face after three months. It’s just natural. But with Rob, I don’t have that.”

Give up on understanding the judging If you were in agreement with Maks’ tirade against Len for inequities in how the couples are judged, you weren’t the only one. Even Burke says she hasn’t figured out why the judges score the way they do. “I’m confused too, at times,” she says. “I don’t always know if they’re comparing celebrities to one another or if they’re just comparing them to themselves. I kind of gave up on figuring them out, but I just hope that the judges give us something constructive that we can work with at the end of the day.”

Play favorites Whether or not Kardashian takes home the mirror ball trophy, Burke feels his journey to the top has been the most rewarding for her, as the unassuming sibling in a famous family has blossomed in ways that will have an impact on his life outside the ballroom. “I honestly think Rob is the one I’m most proud of,” she says. “For someone who came in not having any dance experience and being really shy and reserved, he’s proved to everybody he’s a hard worker. The show has given him a lot of confidence, and knowing that’s something he’ll take with him is really rewarding for me.”

DWTS J.R. Martinez And Karina Smirnoff Thank Vets With Dance Lessons (Video)

ET has a special video up with J.R. and Karina today. Check out how the two honored some locals Vets for the Veteran’s day holiday. What a better way to celebrate life, service, and giving back by teaching “dance”.

Cheryl Burke And Derek Hough Planning To Return To Dancing With The Stars

What a great article from the Hollywood Reporter today!! If you haven’t read it yet, be sure you do. Derek and Cheryl dish on their careers other than dancing, the controversy with Maks this Season, and whether they will be returning to Dancing With This Stars next Season and in future Seasons. It sounds to me like this show is in their blood and they very much want to keep doing it. Thank goodness because I want to see them dancing on this show as long as possible.

“I’m so used to having my celebrity by my side,” Burke tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Every season I’ve done interviews with my celeb, and this time they only wanted me. It’s kind of crazy to be able to do that, but it gave me a lot of self confidence. It made me grow up a little bit.”

Hough says he’s grown up in a more literal way, saying that most people on set have remarked he’s been more focused since returning from his one-season break. He also recognizes that this gig might be more his speed.

“It was tough,” he says of filming the movie. “It was 17-hour days. I’m used to a fast-paced, live show. Movies are slow and really drawn out.”

Given his sister Julianne’s success since leaving the show — the former pro’s accomplishments include releasing a country album and starring in the Footloose remake — many suspected Hough was quietly bowing out of the series after winning with Jennifer Grey, his third victory in 7 seasons. But he came back to a warm reception with current partner Ricki Lake, and doesn’t seem to think it will be his last turn in the ballroom.

“Probably,” Hough says when asked if he’ll come back next season. “It was nice to take the break, to just kind of reset, take a breath and do something different. I would love to pursue other things, Broadway and whatnot, but it’s hard to find the timing between seasons to things like that.”
That might depend on if he and Ricki can manage to overcome the decided frontrunner, J.R. Martinez. Burke has a much different outlook on making it to the finale.

“I kind of feel like J.R. and Ricki are already in the finale,” she says, less surprised of Rob Kardashian’s endurance the closer they get to the end of the season. “It’s fighting for that third place with Hope [Solo].”

Burke, who plans to return for Season 14, says her extracurriculars are more focused on branding efforts, like a shoe collection with HSN and a clothing line she teases will be announced very soon.

DWTS13 Tom Bergeron Comments On The Couples Chances Going Into The Quarter Finals

Tom Bergeron went to Boston so he could host his hometown’s “Rogerson Communities Welcome Home fundraiser” last night. Channel 4 was there to interview him on the event where he talked a little on Dancing With The Stars Season 13. It’s been “wild” and controversial, but, at the moment, “all is well in the ballroom.” Tom also gives his thoughts on the ratings and the contestants going into the quarter finals. He said, “any of them has a solid 25 percent chance now”. He’s been the most surprised by Rob like so many of us.

“Any one of them has a solid 25 percent chance now,” said Bergeron, who declined to divulge his favorite.

“Hope and Maks had a very strong week,” he said, “and of course JR and Ricki have been delivering really solid performances all along. But the one who has really surprised me is Rob Kardashian. He gets better and better, more confident and more poised week in and week out. I said to him the other night, ‘You’ve had the best week of any Kardashian.’ ”

As for the future of “DWTS,” the ratings have slipped a bit this year, but the show still dominates on hotly contested Monday night.

“When I first started I thought that, at best, it would be a good summer series,” Bergeron said. “I don’t think, if any of us is being completely honest, we ever thought it would do as well as it’s done.”

Interviews With Nancy Grace And Tristan MacManus After Their DWTS Elimination

There are so many kind words for Nancy and Tristan out there from so many fans and dancers alike! I wonder if these two realize just how loved they were on this show? I hope so. Not only did they entertain us during and after the show all week, they were gracious for every second of their time spent doing it. I’ll never forget their “Cinderella and her Prince” like charm, their positivity, their chemistry and how Nancy surprised so many people (including myself) showing a gentler and entertaining, comedic side to herself. So, let’s get to some interviews with them after their elimination with Jimmy Kimmel LIVE, Good Morning America, ET, Access Hollywood, On the Red Carpet, and PopTVDotCom!! Nancy and Tristan talk of their dancing, their time spent together, and all the highlights of doing the show. Nancy even talks of the Conrad Murray trial. Lots more below….

DWTS13, Week 8 Interviews After The Results, Dancers Talk On Next Week’s Dances

On The Red Carpet, Access Hollywood, and ET interviewed Karina, J.R., Cheryl, and Rob after last night’s results show to get some hints on their upcoming dances. Note how Maks, Hope, Derek, and Ricki weren’t interviewed by these media outlets unless they are planning to post their interviews later today? Anyway, here’s what Karina, J.R., Cheryl, and Rob revealed….

First up, we have J.R. and Karina. They talk of how all the remaining couples have a Cha Cha Relay dance. They had to pick which order they are going to dance. Karina says they will all dance to one song for 35-45 seconds each. J.R. reveals they will dance in order #3!! These two also have the Argentine Tango and the Paso Doble (my two favorite dances! 🙂 ). J.R. talks about the fear and motions going into the next round. They went straight to rehearsals after the show to start getting ready. Karina already has the dances choreographed.

Next, Rob is so thankful for everyone voting for them. They have the Samba and the Argentine Tango (along with the Cha Cha Relay). Cheryl says they need to make sure they stand out next week. Rob is most fearful on the Samba. He also talked of dancing the Salsa with Mark and Shirley Ballas the night before (which makes me wonder on one of the Final dances if he makes it?). Cheryl planned to choreograph their number last night and they start their rehearsals today.

Here’s to the quarter finals everyone!!! 😉

SPOILERS!!! DWTS Season 13, Week 8 – The Results!

Well, because the web site is getting hit with major traffic again, this took longer than I thought to get up.  I guess it’s great to be popular. 🙂

Anyway, Nancy and Tristan left us tonight and I’m very sad to see them go.  Tristan is second only to Derek in terms of very classy guys and I think I can speak for all of us here at PureDWTS when I say – PLEASE HAVE HIM BACK NEXT SEASON, TPTB!!!  Awesome man, and I have a new appreciation for Nancy Grace. Don’t care for her TV show or a lot of her opinions – but she’s a genuine human and seems like a sweetheart. Someone I’d be glad to go out for a beer with and argue about the court case of the moment. 🙂

Courtney and I both called it – but the bar was set extremely low, thanks to the judges protective instincts.  They are determined to have an Olympian in the final four – hopefully they come back to earth next week so we can have a halfway decent final.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)
