I preface my column with the hopes that you all had a Thanksgiving full of fun, food, fellowship, however and wherever your celebrations took you! My column is late due to much preparation, lots of family around, celebrating the many blessings of my life! It has been a blessing to be able to share my love of Dancing With The Stars with all of you through the compilations of written words. I hope you have enjoyed the hard work and attention to detail when preparing my work to share.
The lyrics to Celebration Time by Kool and the Gang came to mind as I watched the two night Dancing with The Stars Finale. A festival was taking place on the dance floor. An all out dancing celebration! The ballroom was shaking, was filled with rousing applause! Dance after dance filled our senses with pure delight! A sense of revelry, an atmosphere of conviviality was shared by the dancers! Friendships formed that will last, bonds were made to last forever. That spirit of camaraderie far eclipsed the Mirror Ball Trophy. The blinged out Mirror Ball was the prize, the bedazzled trophy was hoisted in celebration of a magnificent couple worthy to call it their own!
A genius idea was to take the second night of the Finale on location to The Grove. The Holiday atmosphere was on full resplendent display! The show seemed larger than its dancing life with the stage bedecked with a mammoth, sparkling Christmas tree and other visual delights! It certainly was a sprint between there and the studio, but through the genius of production it worked seamlessly! Read more..
Sharna Burgess was on KTLA today. She talked about the Dancing The Stars finale and Nick Carter. Dancing didn’t come as natural to him as he and everyone thought, but, he found something else more important while doing the show (awww moment). Great interview and she looks so pretty! Allison Holker talked about her baby and her future on Dancing With The Stars with Got Pap. They mention how she has 4 more seasons of the show, but, she says she will definitely be taking off next season since her baby is due in March (which we knew already). This is interesting – during dress rehearsal, they called Bindi in third and Alek won. đ Wonder if that’s how they do dress every year. I also wonder if this is how Derek reads his tea leaves.
I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Sharna Burgess, Paul Kirkland, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater (and her sister), Keo Motsepe, Brittany Cherry, and Artem Chigvintsev celebrated Thanksgiving with Alfonso Ribeiro’s family in his new house. Just some “end of the season” tidbits. According to Disney ABC, âDancing with the Starsâ will return for its 22nd season in 2016 on MONDAY, MARCH 21 from 8:00-10:01 p.m. ET with an all-new cast of celebrities ready to take on the competition and hit the ballroom floor. They are also promising “another season full of surprises and unforgettable dances”.
As you know from Dancing With The Stars this week, Alek Skarlatos has been added to the DWTS Live: “Dance All Night” Tour. According to a press release, there are still more guest stars to be announced. I wonder who they will be? Also, 6 matinees have been added to the tour according this instagram. Lastly, congratulations to Dancing With The Stars ending the season with a big bang! Our show is alive and well and don’t believe anything otherwise if some source tries to tell you something different. I love how in the seasons past some sources out there tried to report that the show was tanking and wouldn’t be around much longer. Well, let the numbers speak for themselves….again. đ And Miss Heidi is an expert on this. She can explain it better than anyone we know…
