New (to me) Dancing with the Stars Season 9 Rumors

Okay, I thought I had been keeping a pretty close eye on things in the way of rumors for Season 9. Up to today, I hadn’t seen anything that I hadn’t already covered (that I considered remotely plausible 🙂 ). But today, the Louisville Examiner posted a list of recurring names with some additional peeps – some which will NEVER happen and I feel comfortable saying that. I mean, Adam Lambert? No freakin’ way. You heard it here first. 🙂 I would LOVE it, but the guy is HUGE right now and just off American Idol (ahem – a FOX show with a sister called So You Think You Can Dance which will be airing their performance show on the same night as DWTS result show). Not happening.  Anyway,  here is there list:

Kurt Angle
Lou Ferrigno

Sherri Shepherd, a co-host on ABC’s ‘The View’, mentioned on the show a few weeks ago, that she had been approached by Dancing With the Stars. Sherri said that she was thrilled and definitely considering accepting ABC’s offer…and she has lost a LOT of weight.

The Shari Sheppard thing is weird, because I know she’s a huge fan, and I know she would love to do the show – but this is the first I’ve seen her name on the net as a possibility. Now, granted, I have a full time (aka real) job so there are things I’ve missed, but I would think there would be more talk about her. This one I think is pretty plausible in any case.

Katie Holmes? No way. And if she is on the show, I’ll feel sorry for her. She was pretty badly savaged after her appearance on SYTYCD (sorry – rightly so, IMO); between that and her marriage to Tom Cruise, she might regret her decision.

Alicia Sacramone? Sure, it’s possible. Mainly because I have no clue who she is. 🙂 But I’m surprised that Dominque Moceanu isn’t on this list – she had her pic taken with Tony and was pretty blunt about wanting to be on the show.

Andrew Firestone? Sure, why not. He’s cute, he’s a former bachelor and I think he makes wine. That gets him a vote in my book. 🙂

Wild Dancing with the Stars Season 9 Cast Rumor/Speculation – Kelly Osborne?

Kelly Osborne? I find the idea very interesting. Lil’ Kim-interesting.  This is completely twitter related, and as such I could be WAY off base, but Kelly says she has been offered a TV show she never thought she would do:

Several people have asked if she’s talking about DWTS. What do you all think? And would she get Mark or Derek? She’s Mark-short, isn’t she? Remember – this is the speculation game. I’m finding little bits of info and putting it out there on the off chance it’s true.

Dancing with the Stars Season 9 Cast Rumor – Ashley Hamilton

This one is stated by TVFanatic.com as FACT – but I’ll believe it when I hear it from Tom Bergeron. We’ve been through this game before, haven’t we??  🙂

Ashley Hamilton is the first celebrity to be named as a competitor on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.

The 34-year old’s father, actor George Hamilton, actually appeared on the competition in 2006.

He’s oddly cute, in a nerdy way. I could watch him dance. 🙂
