Dancing With The Stars 12 – Interviews After The Dances (Videos)

Wow, what a night Everyone!!! One of the best yet!!! Let’s get right to some new interviews afterwards. Most of the videos below were with my favorite interviewer George Pennacchio from KABC in LA. One video is from Good Morning America today.

A recap.

Romeo and Chelsea talking about how this dance was about so much more than technique.

Kirstie and Maks explain what happened with the fall and how it ended up being a “test” (I love Kirstie’s eyes and how she bends one up sometimes).

Maks talks to Good Morning America on the fall as well.

Chris and Cheryl on how doing this dance meant so much to him.

Hines and Kim talk about the shout out and tribute to his Mother and how much it meant to him and her.

Chelsea feeling ecstatic about listening to the judges last week and going more traditional paid off.

Ralph and Karina talking about why he chose the song for their dance. His wife’s reaction was worth it all.

Kendra and Louis much happier with their dance last night. Concentrating on her “legs” paid off.

Petra and Dimitry so happy they did better.

Wendy as confident as ever. She says she’s ‘still the statue’ and ‘queen of the radio’ ( šŸ˜Æ ,not sure how much more I can take of this and poor Tony).

Sugar Ray and Anna on being one of the most improved of the night.

And there ya go! Here’s to tonight’s results show!!! šŸ˜‰

DWTS Season 12 – Las Vegas Odds Before Showtime Week 3

Once again, what another week of dancing makes! To make it a little easier to understand the odds, this time we put them in order. Note how Chelsea and Chris are tied for 4th. Sugar Ray really took a dip from our previous posting last week, but, I don’t think it would be wise for the odds makers to count him out just yet. Same with Kendra and Romeo! This competition is anyone’s ballgame….or in this case, betting game. Please Everyone, be sure you VOTE tomorrow night all you can for your favorite dancing couple(s).

1. Ralph Macchio 2/1
2. Kirstie Alley 4/1
3. Hines Ward 9/2
4. Chelsea Kane 5/1
4. Chris Jericho 5/1
5. Lil’ Romeo 15/2
6. Kendra Wilkinson 10/1
7. Petra Nemcova 18/1

Pure DWTS Season 12 – Las Vegas Odds For Mar. 13-20th

Only one more week until showtime Everyone. Are you feeling it? What a fun cast this year and it’s so hard to predict who will win. I can’t wait for Courtney’s “Power Rankings” post to really put it all into perspective. Stay tuned for that. Until then, check out the Las Vegas Odds again for this week from SportsBoDog. Once again, the odds have changed and made some twists and turns from last week’s post. Kirstie’s, Chelsea’s, Petra’s, and Wendy’s odds have lowered while Mike’s, Romeo’s, and Ralph’s odds have risen. Kendra’s odds have lowered as well. As of right now, it sounds like this contest will be between Kendra and Ralph? (Heidi’s Note: If I’m reading it right, Chelsea and Hines are right there half a point behind Ralph)

Chelsea Kane 11/2
Chris Jericho 10/1
Hines Ward 11/2
Kendra Wilkinson 7/2
Kirsti Alley 10/1
Lil’ Romeo 8/1
Mike Catherwood 10/1
Petra Nemcova 18/1

DWTS Season 12 – Las Vegas Odds For This Week & Name Predictions

How are the Las Vegas Odds stacking up for this week? Take a look below for what SportsBoDog.com is predicting. As you can see, they’ve changed their odds a little since our post last week. But, they still have Kendra winning.

Chelsea Kane 9/2
Chris Jericho 10/1
Hines Ward 11/2
Kendra Wilkinson 3/1
Kirsti Alley 9/1
Lil’ Romeo 11/2
Mike Catherwood 14/1
Petra Nemcova 14/1
Ralph Macchio 7/2
Sugar Ray Leonard 6/1
Wendy Williams 7/1

Kerrie Hopkins of Namezook predicts who will win the show by the celebrities “names”. Surprisingly, Kerrie has been pretty accuate in the past. So much so, major TV Networks have hired her to ‘speculate on team interactions and probable outcomes’ in the past. Check out what she predicts for “Dancing With The Stars” this year. She is picking Romeo and Chelsie to win. Interesting, huh?

Based on this new cast of characters, Hopkins asserts that “Ralph Macchio will need anger management classes after dealing with his team mate Karina Smirnoff. Kirstie Alley is voted most likely to swear during rehearsal, Kendra Wilkinson is voted most likely to cry throughout rehearsal and when receiving criticism from the judges. Both Chelsea Kane and Wendy Williams are most likely to have wardrobe malfunctions and will have the quick wit to laugh their way out of the conflict. Petra Nemcova and partner Dmitry Chaplin will be so full of kindness that in between rehearsals they’ll look for lost puppies.”

To show how detailed Onomalogy is, Hopkins says every fragment of a name makes a difference; slight changes in a name signal a different outcome. “For example, the two Chelsea’s in this competition are significantly different from each other. While they both love to embellish a story and love fun, a ‘Chelsie’ is about working and obtaining money, while a ‘Chelsea’ is more concerned with being admired and appreciated.”

When asked who will win – Hopkins says, “Overall – based on their names and teammate names – Romeo and his spirited, live wire partner Chelsie Hightower will win. Romeo wants respect, recognition and will do whatever it takes to win. His partner Chelsie is capable, motivated by money and will keep him laughing as he learns his routines.”

Dancing with the Stars Season 11 Odds and Competitiveness Factor

Time to take a look at a number of other ways to try and rank and evaluate the various stars chances on Dancing with the Stars season 11. Voguerista commented with the following Las Vegas Odds for Dancing with the Stars (I’m not sure of the exact source):
Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke, 4 to 1
Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, 5 to 1
David Hasselhoff and Kym Johnson, 6 to 1
Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 7 to 1
Michael Bolton and Chelsie Hightower, 9 to 1
Mike ā€œThe Situationā€ Sorrentino and Karina Smirnoff, 11 to 1
Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas, 15 to 1
Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya, 16 to 1
Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani, 20 to 1
Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, 25 to 1
Kyle Massey and Lacy Schwimmer, 30 to 1
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, 35 to 1

mmc commented with these odds from Bodog.com that provide a different perspective on the odds for each star.
Brandy 3/1
Jennifer 7/2
Rick 5/1
Sitch 7/1
Audrina, Hoff, Michael 10/1
Margaret 12/1
Kyle 15/1
Bristol, Kurt 20/1
Florence 25/1

Of course, it’s really early to try and create odds when we haven’t even seen them dance yet. However, that’s what makes it so much fun and so interesting. I’m really surprised that they have Rick Fox so high in both cases. Although, his ex-wife has an audience that likely has a fair amount of overlap with the DWTS audience and so he could benefit from that if they don’t all hate him for breaking up. I also wouldn’t have ranked Kurt Warner that low either. Football fans likely won’t be surprised by him, but I think that many DWTS viewers are going to fall in love with Kurt.

Voguerista offered an interesting idea in the comments also about the person’s level of competitiveness being a factor in their success on Dancing with the Stars. Obviously, this plays some role. The fact that Lawrence Taylor was thinking more about his tee time than dancing is a problem. I’m not sure how you measure this, but this list of competitiveness by Voguerista is interesting to consider:
Brandy – 50% Competitive. But Max will be 100% Competitive. So, he may push that # up to 90%.
Audriana – 50% Competitive
Florence – 20% Competitive, she’ll be just having fun
Bristol – 100% Competitive, has something to prove personally and has a message for us about herself
Margaret Cho – 0% Competitive -just having fun too. Won’t care if she’s out that frst week.
Jennifer – 100% Competitive.

The Situation – 100% Competitive
Kyle – 20% Competitive
Rick Fox – 100% Competitive -it’s in the blood
David Hasselhoff – 100% Competitive -he will take this on just like Donny Osmond
Michael Bolton – 0% Competitive. I love this guy. But, I have a feeling he doesn’t really care and hopes to be out soon especially with concert dates falling on a Monday and Tuesday?
Kurt Warner – 100% Competitive -it’s in the blood

Check them out:
Derek Hough +600
Mark Ballas +700
Julianne Hough +750
Cheryl Burke +800
Maksim Chmerkovskiy +800

Looks like Heidi’s not the only one that likes Derek Hough. This is a pretty interesting list since it basically compares the “star quality” of the pros I think. Nice to see that it corresponds really well with our list of Top Female DWTS Pros and Top Male DWTS Pros quite well.
