DWTS Choreographer Mandy Moore Choreographs Golden Globes Opening Number, Thanked By Winners Of “La La Land”

Give it up to Dancing With The Stars choreographer Many Moore! Not only was she thanked a multiple of times by the Golden Globe winners for her work in “La La Land”, she also choreographed the opening number (see below). What a night for her and “La La Land” who won 7 awards. Below is more from Hollywood Reporter.

Choreographer Mandy Moore was thanked multiple times at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards.

The La La Land Golden Globe award winners repeatedly thanked their film’s choreographer, Mandy Moore, in their acceptance speeches, leading casual viewers at home to wonder if singer-actress Mandy Moore, who stars in and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in NBC’s This Is Us also choreographed the Damien Chazelle musical.

She didn’t. The La La Land choreographer is a different person who has the same name as the This Is Us actress.

La La Land’s Moore choreographed the opening of the awards show on Sunday, hosted by Jimmy Fallon. In addition to La La Land, she has worked on Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, Joy and such reality shows as So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars.

Man, oh man, that was fun!!!

Derek Hough Bowing Out Of Dancing With The Stars Season 20, New Lead Role In Radio Music Hall Show

I have to say… I don’t blame Derek Hough for bowing out of Dancing With The Stars this season with a new exciting role such as this. CONGRATULATIONS DEREK!! But, we are so going to miss you!!! (adding: still hoping for atleast an appearance on Dancing With The Stars of some type?)

Five-time winner Derek Hough has to bow out of the next installment of the ABC show because he’ll play the male lead in New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall this spring.

Debuting in March, the limited, seven-week engagement will feature Hough as Jack, a man with a special mission who will receive an eternal reward if he’s able to help a man named Bernie keep his position as a New York City tour guide. Bernie’s job is in jeopardy when Jenna (Nashville’s Laura Benanti) reveals her plan to take the tour company “virtual.”

Last night, Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff and Derek Hough attended an Audi Celebrates Golden Globes Weekend Party at Cecconi’s Restaurant in Los Angeles, California. Side note: The 2014 Golden Globes air on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 8 pm ET on NBC. DWTS Karina Smirnoff Attends GBK Event, Celebrates Birthday In Las Vegas (Video, Photo)

The preliminary events surrounding tonight’s Golden Globes might look like they are all “glitz and glamour”, but they showcased a “charitable side as well”. Such is the case this past week when Dancing With The Stars’ Karina Smirnoff attended a GBK event held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The products and lines she helped to promote this week are helping GBK to stomp out bullying, help homeless people, and more. Hollywood TV was there and caught up with Karina to talk about her thoughts leading up to tonight’s Golden Globes show which you can view below. DWTS Mark Ballas’ New Pepsi Commercial And Miss America Preview For Tonight (Videos)

Who plans to tune in to the Miss America Pageant tonight at 9:00pm ET (ABC) to watch Dancing With The Stars pro Mark Ballas judge? I think I just might!! Here is a little sneak preview for what happened in preliminaries this week….

The Las Vegas Sun also has a cool summary on the Pageant preliminaries which mentions Mark in it. Be sure to read it here if interested as he won “Judge of the Year” and it explains why he is singing above.

Also, below is the Diet Pepsi commercial that Mark choreographed starring Sofia Vergara and his Dad Corky!! I’d say they’ve got themselves a winner here! What do you think?

Big Week For DWTS Mark Ballas: Miss America And Diet Pepsi Commercial To Premiere (Details)

This is a big week for Mark Ballas. He’s currently in Las Vegas helping to judge the 2012 Miss America Pageant which will air Saturday night, Jan. 14th on ABC at 9:00pm ET. He posted the picture above at his twitter account of he and some of the other Miss America judges Kris Jenner, Raul De Molina, Chris Powell and Teri Polo.

Also, stay tuned for Sunday as the new Diet Pepsi commercial Mark helped to choreograph will premiere during the Golden Globe Awards. The commercial stars Sofia Vergara (love her! She’s on my Dancing With The Stars wish list to dance). Below is a few more details from USA Today.

In last year’s Beckham ad, the Modern Family star (Sofia Vergara) sported a bikini and sent women chasing after the soccer star so she could easily get a Diet Pepsi. In the new ad, Vergara navigates a crowded Miami nightclub to reach a waiter carrying her coveted Diet Pepsi in the shoot choreographed by Dancing With the Stars pro and USA TODAY blogger Mark Ballas.

“All that matters is that I get my Diet Pepsi. I go after my food and my drink, that’s for sure,” Vergara says, laughing. But “I did miss David.”

Her relationship with Pepsi goes way back. “My first work in the entertainment business was 22 years ago when I did a Pepsi commercial when I was 17. My career started.”

Let’s hope this second Pepsi commercial is as iconic as the first which I loved and much luck to Mark this week!!
