What a week it’s been for the cast of Dancing With The Stars. Below we try and catch up with them all. Shew. First up, how about a Dancing With The Stars Tour teaser pic courtesy of Alan Bersten? Man, I was digging this new Afterbuzz TV show last night ….especially being Mark Ballas was a guest. He provided some cool “behind the scenes” information about the dancers and the show, getting his partners from A to B, how you can tell who is in it to win it every season, what it’s like having a gymnast for a partner, and more. Though, I have to say….I was disappointed at the end when he and Anna Trebunskaya went on about Henry Byalikov and what a great job he’s dong with Nastia Liukin. Hey, maybe Henry is doing a good job and that’s cool, but, let’s be REAL here! Anna said Henry has Nastia for “half the week” when that IS NOT TRUE! Henry only has Nastia for TWO days (Saturday and Sunday). It’s also not true that Henry is doing all the cleaning up, etc as Derek has been conversing with them on the weekend from New York City making sure everything is perfect. Yes, Henry may be a stand in for Derek on the weekend, but, he’s not doing it “all”. So for those on the Afterbuzz TV show and fans taking it in everything Anna says as if it’s “word”, think again. Also, Derek is doing ALL of the choreography HIMSELF. See this NEW “YOUNG HOLLYWOOD” rehearsal interview of last week’s rehearsals in New York City. This footage was filmed before Nastia went back to Los Angeles….doesn’t this say it all? Anyway, take a listen to the show below and let us know what you think. Yes, I’m wound up. 😐

Last night, Dancing With The Stars Amy Purdy and Henry Byalikov danced at the CA Foundation Benefit Gala. The benefit helped to raise funds for people with physical challenges so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. ETA13: ABC Media Net released an official announcement of the 10 pros. They also release info on the theme nights one of which includes “Spring Break” night. WHA?? 😯
I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Well, a lot has happened since I last wrote one of these posts. In fact, I normally post pro watch for the spring season in early February – yet here we are. Why? Well, Derek is taking a season off to star at Radio City (looks so happy he may never come back), Cheryl appears to have retired from DWTS and is moving on to a different (reality-based?) show, and Val and Sharna are both blabbing about the next season. And as of last night, Karina is OUT. Hell, I had this post scheduled for tomorrow and here I am posting it today – ya’ll gotta have somewhere to be sad about Karina. (ETA: Vogue was at last night’s show and came away with different and new info re: Karina. Stay tuned.)
In Sharna’s case, I think her hint means she’s definitely IN – after last season I don’t think she would be coy if there were any doubt. And if there is doubt? Bad move, girl. As for Val – I don’t think there’s any way in hell he won’t be on, with Maks and Derek gone and Mark making noise. No way. And he’s saying yes, he is back. Read more..
