Dancing With The Stars All Stars Details And Entertainment For Week 3, After Party Info

ABC MediaNet has released a press release detailing next week’s shows on Dancing With The Stars. Note how there will be an “exclusive encore” and “behind the scenes” footage from Monday night’s iconic dance night before the Results show. On tap to perform on the Results show is the group “Karmin”. Frankie Moreno will also perform with the troupe, Lacey Schwimmer, and…drum rolls….Kyle Massey. More details listed below and at the link.

“Episode 1503 & 1503A” – It’s “Iconic Dance Night” and the couples have been challenged by Judge Len Goodman to deliver show-stopping routines that the series has never seen before. The 11 remaining celebrities have chosen an iconic “DWTS” dance to reinterpret, MONDAY, OCTOBER 8 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. For the first time ever, the celebrities have taken charge of the creative direction of the routine, given the responsibility for all artistic decisions relating to the performance.

In a one-hour special, “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars – An Exclusive Encore,” we will recap Monday night’s stellar performances as well as include new, exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen interviews , TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). Following the special, on “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars — The Results Show” (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), the couples face a double elimination and Karmin perform “Hello” and their irresistibly addictive single, “Brokenhearted,” from their debut album “Hello,” out now. Last year Karmin captured the attention of music lovers worldwide when they posted a cover of Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now.” The clip went viral, becoming one of YouTube’s most viewed videos; since then they’ve racked up about a half billion views for all of their videos online. The duo released their first album, “Hello,” earlier this year, shortly after their television debut on “Saturday Night Live.” Amy and Nick spent the earlier part of the summer touring around the country and headlining festivals, including a performance for a crowd of more than 100,000 in San Francisco last month. Also performing Tuesday night is musician Frankie Moreno with a medley of “Tangerine Honey” and “Real Wild Child,” accompanied by Troupe members Lacey Schwimmer and Kyle Massey.

Also during Tuesday night’s results show, we will have the season’s first “AT& T Spotlight Performance,” featuring Joshua Johnson. Joshua, an ambitious young man from New York City, had always dreamt of going to college. But when his acceptance letter came from Penn State University, he realized he was never going to be able to afford it. His mother had lost her job years before and they had been living in shelters ever since. Josh decided he would raise the money he needed by tap dancing on the subway. He danced for hours, holding out his hat for donations. Eventually, he collected enough money to cover his freshman year of college. But to pay for future years, Josh would take a five-hour bus ride to New York every weekend and raise more money by tap dancing on the subway. Currently in his junior year at Penn State, he still travels to New York every weekend with the hope of raising enough money to get him through to graduation. Tuesday night, the ballroom welcomes Joshua and eight other dancers who will be dancing in a powerful piece by renowned choreographer JT Horenstein. The performance will be beautiful tribute to the people of New York, as Josh knows that without them he wouldn’t be in college.

Also, don’t miss watching the Dancing With The Stars After Party after the show on Monday night. According to Grinya Talent Agency, Anna Garnis will join the panel to critique the dances and the show. You can follow Anna on twitter at @AnyaGarnisLA. In telling you a little about Anya. She has performed in some of the results shows on Dancing With The Stars (beautiful flash back performance below). She’s also a dancer on So You Think You Can Dance. You can read more on her ballroom career here.

Just a little heads up on Week 2’s Dancing With The Stars After Party!! According to Elena Grinenko of Grinya Talent, one of this week’s guests is award winning, ballroom expert Nick Kosovich who will help critique the dances. Below is more information on Nick at Wikipedia. As you might remember, Nick was partnered with Tatum O’Neal in Season 2 and Vivica A. Fox in Season 3 of Dancing With The Stars. I didn’t realize Nick was also in one of my favorite dance movies “Shall We Dance” starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez.

Nick Kosovich is a professional ballroom dancer specializing in American Smooth and International Ten Dance. Kosovich resides in Los Angeles. He is currently appearing in the “Second Dance World Championship” (Dance for a Dream)in Mexico City for the “Televisa” Company. He is the representing Judge for team USA. He retired from competition dancing in 2005, however he has achieved many awards in his career. An internationally respected figure in the Ballroom world, Kosovich competed for 36 years. He competed in seven Professional World Championship events, won the United States American Smooth Championships and finished second in the 2004/2005 World Classic Showdance Championships.

Kosovich has appeared in movies, includingShall We Danc and also inEveryone Says I Love Yo, Blue in the Face’ and ‘Only with You, Mango Tango’. He has also appeared on numerous TV network shows. Kosovich partnered with actress Tatum O’Neal in Season 2 of Dancing with the Stars. They were the second couple voted off, coming in 9th place. In Season 3, he was partnered with actress Vivica A. Fox until their elimination in the 4th week. He is an Emmy nominated choreographer, for his work on DWTS, recently choreographing for Dance Your Ass Off season 1 and 2.

This should be a fun After Party after the show Monday night. Be sure you are following @GrinyaTalent at twitter for continual notices and updates. You can follow Nick at @smoothchamp.

ABC Media Net has released official information detailing the shows next week for Monday and Tuesday night. Take note of the Pro number which will take place on the Results show to “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney! The Troupe number will be fun too! I’m curious on the in-depth interviews as well. More below and at the link for what will take place. Picture above courtesy of Dancing With The Stars Facebook (click once and again at next page to enlarge).

From former champions to fan favorites, including a celebrity voted in by fans, the All-Star cast along with their professional partners return to the ballroom on the season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars,” MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. All 13 couples will hit the stage performing either the Cha Cha or the Foxtrot to impress the judges and viewers at home, hoping they’re not the first couple sent home.

The live two-hour season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), will kick off with live interviews with Tom and the cast, offering an in-depth look at why each celeb has decided to return for another chance at winning the coveted mirror ball trophy. Global superstars Justin Bieber and Pitbull will hit the stage for unforgettable musical performances. Performing his second single, “As Long as You Love Me As Long As You Love Me (Ferry Corsten Remix) - As Long As You Love Me (Remixes), ” from his latest album, “Believe Believe - Justin Bieber” Bieber returns to the ballroom for a knockout performance. Pitbull also joins the party with the primetime television debut of his new single, “Don’t Stop the Party,” from his upcoming album, “Global Warming,” out November 19th. Also during Tuesday night’s show, we will have a spectacular opening number featuring all the pro dancers of the season and The Troupe to a medley of “I Wanna Dance with Somebody/Dance Again,” choreographed by Jason Gilkison. The Troupe will return later that night to perform a number to “Go Get It Go Get It - Go Get It - Single” which is also choreographed by Jason Gilkison. And before night’s end, the season’s first couple will be eliminated from the show.

Also, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the new Dancing With The Stars After Party, will be co-hosted by Joanna Krupa and Marc Istook. Kyle Massey will be reporting behind-the-scenes. Also, Elena Grinenko will be one of the guests and Lacey Schwimmer is to perform. Here are more details….

Season nine contestant Joanna Krupa will co-host After Party: Dancing With the Stars with Marc Istook, while season 11 runner-up Kyle Massey will give fans behind-the-scenes access.

After Party is a 20-25 minute live show that will launch on several online destinations, including the official show site on ABC, Facebook and the YouTube channel. The AT&T-sponsored series will feature expert panelists, celebrity audience members and dance performances by fan favorites. The co-hosts will be answering questions after each After Party episode.

The premiere episode of After Party will include former Dancing With the Stars pro Elena Grinenko and an acoustic performance by former competitor Lacey Schwimmer featuring the It Boys.

This is cool and I hope they have different performers every week.

DWTS All Stars – And the 13th Dancer Is…. (Live Blog)

It is 7:20 in the east and, as you might have guessed, nary a mention of DWTS. You might have guessed this because of the interesting confluence of the Republican National Convention and Hurricane Issac. Of course, GMA will beat the crap out of both topics, but right now the emphasis is on Issac what with the 7th anniversary of Katrina coming up on Thursday…and Issac is heading for New Orleans.

Prince Harry on Lockdown?? Come on, GMA, really??

ETA 1: Okay, so 6:30 and they just teased it and the winner and partner are both in the studio. They showed them in silouette. Hmmmm….number 13 and partner. Looks like Sabrina. But that hair could also be Lacey, although Louis is the one in NYC right now.

ETA 2 Vogue here: Please LEAVE PRINCE HARRY ALONE! I love him! 🙁

ETA 3: They show all three contestants and they dance teasing us some more. Wow Lara, step up revolution. 😀

ETA 4: Heidi’s back!! 🙂 I love Prince Harry too – let a young guy have some fun. Of course, I think he had more fun in Vegas than even Derek typically does, but geez!!

ETA 5: Geez, GMA pimping Dance with Me once again. Poor Maks, he has it so rough. :::rolls eyes:::

ETA 6: I would like to thank GMA for their bit on Ryan Gosling…holy hot 6 pack!!! Is it hot in here??

ETA 7: Okay, the announcement is coming up next at 8:15! Stay tuned!

And the Winner is…..SABRINA BRYAN!! To the surprise of absolutely no one, and after more pimping about this than the All Star cast as a whole.

And Louis is her partner just as we said he would be. Louis disses all his previous partners, claiming that he can go all out with the choreo now.  And they are saying it’s exciting because she was chosen by the public. Er…yeaah. Let’s see what happens when she’s up against the power houses of All Stars.

A couple screen caps…

And here is where I make a crack about how I was right…and Marky caught his plane finally. 😀

Vogue here with some video coverage:

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

ETA 8: The first of the Pepsi-sponsored “After Party” segments is set to start at 9 AM EST.  Not really sure how this works, but here’s the link, if you want to check it out…I’ll be keeping an eye out to see what it’s all about.  Hopefully 😉 -Court-

ETA 9: Looks like both Vogue and I are having problems accessing the After Party – I only caught about 20 seconds of video before my computer started buffering endlessly.  The basic gist I got is that it’s just a recap of old Sabrina footage from season 5, and Sabrina answering questions submitted by viewers on Twitter.  Maybe Vogue will be able to find and post video of it later 😉 -Court-

ETA 10: This is Vogue again and here is some coverage of the After Party today. I loved the part with Tony! He talked of how he choreographs, what Melissa is like now versus when he danced with her the first time, and how stiff the competition is going to be this season. More below (let’s hope this works. Be patient. It stops and goes a lot)…

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS All Stars Campaigning, Carson Kressley So Funny!!

Carson Kressley is cracking me up again. Below is what he posted at his Facebook today for why fans should vote for him for the 13th spot on Dancing With The Stars. Figures about #3 though. Why am I not surprised? 😕

The 5 Reasons to vote for Carson c/o ABC News:
1. I’ve been practicing a lot. My rumba looks amazing. Oh, and did I mention my dancing’s gotten pretty good, too?!
2. I’m an athlete. No really, I was the world champion amateur riding at the Worlds Championship Horse Show in 2009.
3. I reached out to Bristol Palin on Twitter. No response, but I think we could be friends!
4. I’ve already started designing my costumes. Let’s just say “sparkly” is an understatement.
5. Maks gives amazing shoulder massages and I have to get back on for All-Stars, so I can return the favor!

Also, here is Carson on Good Morning America today. FUN FUN FUN!!

Stay tuned. We find out MONDAY who will fill the 13th spot on Good Morning America! We’ll post the coverage as soon as we can.

ADDING: Carson also has a new blog up at parade.com that is well worth the fun read. Below is a take….

And that’s exactly what I thought when I heard I was one of three fan favorites nominated to be selected by the fans as the thirteenth contestant on the show! Isn’t everyone a former mirror ball winner? The answer is no…not Kirstie Alley, not Pamela Anderson and not Bristol Palin!

I think the rationale is that you didn’t have win your season, but you did need to bring something unique to the show— and you need to appeal to the show’s wide variety of fans.

For me it crystallizes into one word: sparkle. The show needs sparkle. Sure, Emmitt Smith will bring his athletic game to the season. Yes, Kelly Monaco will show the skill she showed to win season one. And most certainly Olympian Apolo Ohno will be great as well. But do they have sparkle? Do they have a sense of fun? Will they wear hot pants? Nope. That’s my job.

Dancing with the Stars is a variety show in the greatest sense of the word. There is live music, singing, dancing, drama and comedy. And what they need is not a cast of all great dancers and former champions, but a variety to keep it fun and interesting. It’s about being entertained. Did I mention they need ME?!

And how fun would it be to see me and the likes of Bristol Palin battling it out? Me and Pam Anderson comparing notes on hair color? And then, there is the intense sexual chemistry between me and Maks.

Right on Carson!! I want to see the hot pants! 😀
