Adorable Good Morning America Photos Of DWTS Peta Murgatroyd And Maks Chmerkovskiy

Dancing With The Stars Peta Murgatroyd, Maks Chmerkovskiy, Val Chmerkovskiy, and the cast of the “Our Way” tour were suppose to have a segment on Good Morning America on Monday. Due to the Dallas shootings, it didn’t get aired. Maybe they will show the segment today or in the coming days? If they do, we’ll be sure to post on it. In the meantime, here are some fun photos. Maks and Peta are so cute.

ETA: The segment was aired today. You can watch it below. The Our Way cast dances. Thanks to @Idolxfactor1 for recording.

Thank you so much @GoodMorningAmerica for being the first to dress our little one ❤️ #babychmerkovskiy @maksimc

DWTS Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy “Our Way” New York City Review And HQ Photos

Aren’t these some beautiful photos below of Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy’s “Our Way” tour? Click the images and you can see even more from their show. Also, for a fun review from their New york City show, see the Digital Journal if interested. Below is a take. I love the part about Maks professing his love for Peta. Be sure to read the link for more.

They admitted that growing up, although they might have not had much money, they had an abundance of love, and Maks defined love as “being together” and “being inseparable.” He professed his love for his fiance Peta, and while she was not performing on stage, an image of them displayed on the video screen with a “King” card for Maks, and a “Queen” card for Peta, thus showcasing their love, as Etta James’ classic hit “At Last” played in the background, which all dancers performed their next sequence to.

“At last, Maks and I are getting a divorce,” Val joked, prior to noting that they will be sharing a bunk bed on the tour bus for the next two months.

They concurred that this show has been both “reflective and therapeutic” for them, and the brothers feel “blessed” to bring this production New York City’s Beacon Theatre. For their grand finale performance, they all danced to Justin Timberlake’s new song “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and they all garnered a standing ovation.

The Verdict
Overall, Maks and Val were able to put on a superb dancing production with their “Our Way” show in New York. They gave their fans a glimpse into their personal lives, ranging from their childhood to adulthood, thus allowing them to get to know them on a more intimate level. They proved to still be at the top of their game in the dance world, and their hard work ethic has paid off. Anybody who enjoyed them in Sway, will certainly love their newest show. Their team of dancers, which consisted of ten additional gifted dancers, were equally noteworthy. “Our Way” earns an A rating.

DWTS Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy New “Our Way” Interviews, Photos, And Videos

Just a few updates on Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy and their “Our Way” tour. First, see Communities Digital News for a new interview with Val. In this take, he talks of how he’s been overwhelmed by the positive reviews of their show. Like Cheryl Burke and her new show, they are hoping to have a home at Las Vegas and Broadway.

Val said he’s been overwhelmed by the positive reviews after the first few weeks of the “Our Way” tour.

“People cry during our show. They laugh, it’s a roller coaster,” Val said. The response is beyond any of my expectations. It has exceeded them … I’m humbled, I’m flattered. It’s surreal. The fact we have our names on the marquee, it’s a gift to our parents. I never received a more enthusiastic response from any audience for any show.”

In addition to his dance numbers including several with Maks, Val gets to display his skills as a musician, playing the violin. “Yes, in a little section I help compose a Fiddler on the Roof/Notorious B.I.G. mashup,” he laughed. “It signifies our journey from Ukraine to New York City.”

Adding to the family theme of the show is the impending birth of Maks’ first child with DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd. Val says it’s changed his brother for the better.

‘With this new development in his life, it’s added a completely different perspective on life for him. I’ve never seen my brother more put together, more dedicated than ever.”

Val said the ultimate goal for the show after it concludes its initial 47 city tour is to one day have a home on Broadway or Las Vegas. For now, lucky fans can let the show come to them.

“I’m not trying to say we’re the greatest dancers of all time,” said Val. “There are people out there right now better than us. It’s not about that. It’s about heart, it’s about reflecting on gratitude about where we came from and passing our passion to the next generation. That’s what the show’s about.

Be sure to see Communities Digital News to read the full interview. There are some beautiful photos there too. Thanks to Andrea for sending.

The Washington Post has also posted a new interview. Maks and Val answer questions on their tour, Dancing With The Stars, and more. For those who have seen the show, do you agree with this answer? I would say the “Move Live On Tour” has had more impact on how dance shows are produced than this show or the Dancing With The Stars shows. Hmmmm…..

Q: Did it help that the “Dancing With the Stars” live tour is not happening this summer?

A: Val: No, the two have nothing to do with one another. Obviously, we’re not going to deny the fact that a majority of our audiences are fans of “Dancing With the Stars.” But the shows are as vastly different as it gets. It’s a dance show, yes, but it’s ultimately a play, and it’s so heavily detail-oriented — there’s a through line, there’s a plot, from the beginning to the end — and there’s so much heart attached and camaraderie that’s onstage. It’s very, very different than any “Dancing With the Stars” or any other tour having to do with anybody from “Dancing With the Stars” that has ever been out.

In a nutshell, our inspiration moving into this project was “Hamilton.” In some ways, what “Hamilton” has done for Broadway shows — what it has done for the interpretation of history and how it fused all these worlds together into this modern, contemporary, hip-hop field, and delivered it in such an incredible way — we were inspired to do a similar thing for ballroom dancing and for dance shows in general. I’m not comparing us to “Hamilton,” by no means. But ultimately this show will have an everlasting impact on how dance shows are produced in general.

More at the Washington Post. Thanks to Linz for this find.

Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy’s “Our Way” On The East Coast – Photos, Videos, Fan Thoughts

Samantha, one our regular readers to the site, saw the “Our Way” tour last night in New Jersey. She said she “thoroughly enjoyed” herself. She especially loved the “living in New York City” part showing where they grew up”. The show was a bit shorter than the Dancing With The Stars show, but she loved it just the same. Below are some videos and pictures from this past week. You can also see some videos at RNRRT You Tube. I have a feeling I’m going to love the “Queen Of Hearts” performance. Check out the mug below too. If you haven’t got tickets yet, see this link.

Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy “Our Way” Reviews & Photos, Dancing Expresses Their Story In Ways Words Could Not Have

Just a couple of reviews on Maks And Val Chmerkovskiy’s “Our Way” Tour. The WAE said the venue was completely full. They report “the performance was a beautiful story, told in a unique and fitting way.”. Here is a little more….

The two charismatic brothers with a passion for dance came together in their autobiographical show, “Maks and Val: Our Way.” The duo visited Wilmington as part of a 48-city tour. The theater was packed, with not a seat left empty.

Bright lights, moving stage props and fog machines added ambience. Large monitors played video clips throughout of Maks, Val and their father, while visuals and graphics added interest to the performance. Val even showcased his violin talents, while Maks and a group of dancers performed to his music.

The show’s first setting was in Ukraine, where the brothers grew up and first started taking dance classes. Moving forward, the family moves to Brooklyn, where the Chmerkovskiy family immigrated in 1994 in search of the American dream. The show continued on, depicting the struggles the family faced in a new country.

Although Maks and Val were sure to add comedy and seduction to the show, they took a more serious approach when emphasizing the importance of family in their upbringing. “This show is the story of our family,” said Val. Maks added, “Our family is the nucleus of who we are.”

Lighthearted jokes and comedic skits were integrated throughout the show in order to soften tough moments and engage the audience. One lucky woman, Tina, was even invited onto the stage for a sexy dance with Maks.

During the finale, Val performed the last number, solo. Even in that large, noisy room, you could hear his feet passionately tapping against the dance floor.

More at The WAE including some beautiful shots of Val and Maks.

Also, Richmond.com has published a piece that describes what the show is about. Here’s a little take (I think we posted something similar. I can’t remember for sure now).

The two acknowledge they have arguments like other siblings, and that they are very different personally, but they always fall back on the values their parents instilled in them.

“That’s the massive point: family first,” Maks said. After they see the show, “I want parents to look at their kids and say, ‘See, this is what I want your relationship with your sibling to be like.’ ”

The brothers will share the stage with 10 top professional dancers with skills in styles that range from hip-hop to ballroom.

“We want to do for ballroom what the play ‘Hamilton’ is doing for Broadway — provide a fresh perspective,” Val said.

During their careers, the brothers have each made a name for themselves.

“After being on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ I went from being Maks’ little brother to Valentin,” Val said. “It’s not me plus one or him plus one. We could each have our own production, but that doesn’t make sense to us.

“This might be the last time we get to perform together before we move on in our lives. This is a great opportunity to have a dream come true. Not a lot of siblings get to work in the same field together. How lucky are we?”
