Then about half way through the interview they are asked about Dancing With The Stars and why they decided to do it. Charlie says they may been crazy, but, they wanted to go forward, have fun, and were looking to have a good time! Meryl comments they’ve had a few rehearsals and “there is definitely some new things coming into play” that she never knew about when it comes to dancing. So cute. ETA: Below is a new interview with them with the Battle Creek Enquirer where they talk on Dancing With The Stars as well…

So I’m just wondering: Who is going to win ‘Dancing with the Stars?’”

Ah, yes, who will win? The best part of this show will be seeing them compete against each other, instead of together. White will be partnered with Sharna Burgess, while Davis is partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

“I think both of us have an edge on some of the other dancers,” White said. But “it’s pretty different, at the same time.”

“He’s skating around the answer, isn’t he?” asked Michael LeMelle, the announcer at the Salem event. White laughed.

“I’m just going to say Meryl is the favorite,” White said, laughing. “So I’m going to need all of you to call in. Help that poor guy who doesn’t have chance.”

Davis smiled.

“He’s playing the dark-horse card here,” she said. “I think we are finding it really different dancing on the floor from dancing on the ice. We have a lot of habits that we are taking to the floor that aren’t necessarily helpful.”

Later, Davis let out a little secret about Chmerkovskiy, her partner who has a bad-boy image. He dated supermodel Kate Upton while she was on a break from Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander.

“I don’t want to shatter the image for him, but he’s fantastic,” she said. “He’s a gentlemen.”
